< Psalms 76 >
1 For the end, amongst the Hymns, a Psalm for Asaph; a Song for the Assyrian. God is known in Judea: his name is great in Israel.
Asaf dwom. Onyankopɔn din ahyeta wɔ Yuda; ne din so wɔ Israel.
2 And his place has been in peace, and his dwelling-place in Sion.
Ne ntamadan si Salem, ne tenabea wɔ Sion.
3 There he broke the power of the bows, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. (Pause)
Ɛhɔ na obubuu mmemma a ɛpa gya, nkatabo ne afoa, akode nyinaa mu.
4 You do wonderfully shine forth from the everlasting mountains.
Wo ho hann no hyerɛn, na woso sen mmepɔw a mmoadoma ahyɛ mu ma no.
5 All the simple ones in heart were troubled; all the men of wealth have slept their sleep, and have found nothing in their hands.
Mmarima akokodurufo deda hɔ a wɔagye wɔn ho nneɛma, wɔadeda awufo nna; na akofo no mu baako mpo ntumi mma ne nsa so.
6 At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, the riders on horses slumbered.
Yakob Nyankopɔn, wokaa wɔn anim no apɔnkɔ no ne nteaseɛnam no adeda dinn.
7 You are terrible; and who shall withstand you, because of your anger?
Wo nko ara na ɛsɛ sɛ wosuro wo. Sɛ wo bo fuw a hena na obetumi agyina wʼanim?
8 You did cause judgement to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
Wubuu atɛn fii ɔsoro, asase suroe, na ɛyɛɛ komm,
9 when God arose to judgement, to save all the meek in heart. (Pause)
bere a wo, Onyankopɔn, sɔre buu atɛn, de gyee amanehunufo wɔ asase no so no.
10 For the inward thought of man shall give thanks to you: and the memorial of his inward thought shall keep a feast to you.
Ampa ara wʼabufuwhyew a etia nnipa no de ayeyi brɛ wo, na wɔn a wotumi gyina ano no nya kɔkɔbɔ.
11 Vow, and pay [your vows] to the Lord our God; all that are round about him shall bring gifts, [even] to him that is terrible,
Monhyɛ Awurade mo Nyankopɔn no bɔ na munni so; momma nsase a atwa ne ho ahyia mfa ayɛyɛde mmrɛ Ɔbaako a ɛsɛ sɛ wosuro no no.
12 and that takes away the spirits of princes; to him that is terrible amongst the kings of the earth.
Ɔbrɛ sodifonom honhom ase; na asase so ahemfo suro no. Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo. Wɔde ma Yedutun.
