< Psalms 76 >
1 For the end, amongst the Hymns, a Psalm for Asaph; a Song for the Assyrian. God is known in Judea: his name is great in Israel.
Kathutkung: Asaph Judah vah Cathut panue lah ao teh, Isarel vah a min teh a lentoe.
2 And his place has been in peace, and his dwelling-place in Sion.
Salem haiyah lukkareiim ao teh, Zion vah a onae hmuen ao.
3 There he broke the power of the bows, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. (Pause)
Hawvah, licung pala, tarantuknae, bahling hoi tahloinaw hah a khoe awh. (Selah)
4 You do wonderfully shine forth from the everlasting mountains.
Nang teh, tarantuknae monnaw hlak na sungren teh na hawihnawn.
5 All the simple ones in heart were troubled; all the men of wealth have slept their sleep, and have found nothing in their hands.
A tarankahawinaw lawp lah ao teh, mat a i awh toe. Tami a tha kaawm apinihai a kut dâw thai awh hoeh.
6 At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, the riders on horses slumbered.
Oe Jakop Cathut, na yuenae dawk hoi marang hoi ranglengnaw teh kadout e patetlah koung a rawp awh.
7 You are terrible; and who shall withstand you, because of your anger?
Nang teh taki na tho doeh. Na lungkhuek pawiteh, na hmalah apimouh kangdout thai han.
8 You did cause judgement to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
Talai vah repcoungroe e naw rungngang teh lawkceng hanelah Cathut a kangdue toteh,
9 when God arose to judgement, to save all the meek in heart. (Pause)
Na lawkcengnae lawk hah kalvan hoi na patoun teh, talai teh taki laihoi duem ao. (Selah)
10 For the inward thought of man shall give thanks to you: and the memorial of his inward thought shall keep a feast to you.
Taminaw e lungkhueknae ni na pholen roeroe han. Ka cawi e lungkhueknae hai na keng dawk na kâyeng han.
11 Vow, and pay [your vows] to the Lord our God; all that are round about him shall bring gifts, [even] to him that is terrible,
BAWIPA na Cathut koevah, lawkkam awh nateh, kuep sak awh. Atengpam kaawm e pueng ni, taki hanelah kaawm e koevah, poehno hah poe awh.
12 and that takes away the spirits of princes; to him that is terrible amongst the kings of the earth.
Ama ni lawkcengkungnaw e lung hah, a rahnoum sak han. Talai siangpahrangnaw hanelah takikatho poung e lah ao.
