< Psalms 71 >

1 By David, [a Psalm sung by] the sons of Jonadab, and the first that were taken captive. O Lord, I have hoped in you: let me never be put to shame.
Nínú rẹ, Olúwa, ni mo ní ààbò; má ṣe jẹ́ kí ojú kí ó tì mí.
2 In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me: incline your ear to me, and save me.
Gbà mí kí o sì tú mi sílẹ̀ nínú òdodo rẹ; dẹ etí rẹ sí mi, kí o sì gbà mí.
3 Be to me a protecting God, and a strong hold to save me: for you are my fortress and my refuge.
Jẹ́ àpáta ààbò mi, níbi tí èmi lè máa lọ, pa àṣẹ láti gbà mí, nítorí ìwọ ni àpáta àti odi agbára mi.
4 Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the sinner, from the hand of the transgressor and unjust man.
Gbà mí, Ọlọ́run mi, lọ́wọ́ àwọn olùṣe búburú, ní ọwọ́ aláìṣòdodo àti ìkà ọkùnrin.
5 For you are my support, O Lord; O Lord, [you are] my hope from my youth.
Nítorí ìwọ jẹ́ ìrètí mi, Olúwa Olódùmarè, ìwọ ni ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé mi láti ìgbà èwe.
6 On you have I been stayed from the womb: from the belly of my mother you are my protector: of you is my praise continually.
Mo gbẹ́kẹ̀lé ọ láti ìgbà ìbí mi; Ìwọ mú mi jáde láti inú ìyá mi wá èmi ó máa yìn ọ́ títí láé.
7 I am become as it were a wonder to many: but you are [my] strong helper.
Mo di àmì fún ọ̀pọ̀ ènìyàn, ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ ni ààbò mi tí ó lágbára.
8 Let my mouth be filled with praise, that I may hymn your glory, [and] your majesty all the day.
Ìyìn rẹ̀ kún ẹnu mi, ó ń sọ ti ọlá rẹ ní ọjọ́ gbogbo.
9 Cast me not off at the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength fails.
Má ṣe ta mí nù ní ọjọ́ ogbó mi, má ṣe kọ̀ mí sílẹ̀ nígbà tí kò sí okun mọ́.
10 For mine enemies have spoken against me; and they that lay wait for my soul have taken counsel together,
Nítorí àwọn ọ̀tá mi ń sọ̀rọ̀-òdì sí mi, àwọn tí wọn dúró láti pa mí gbìmọ̀ pọ̀.
11 saying, God has forsaken him: persecute you and take him; for there is none to deliver [him].
Wọ́n wí pé, “Ọlọ́run ti kọ̀ ọ́ sílẹ̀; lépa rẹ̀ kí ẹ sì mu, nítorí kò sí ẹni tí yóò gbà á.”
12 O God, go not far from me, O my God, draw near to my help.
Má ṣe jìnnà sí mi, Ọlọ́run; wa kánkán, Ọlọ́run mi, láti ràn mí lọ́wọ́.
13 Let those that plot against my soul be ashamed and utterly fail: let those that seek my hurt be clothed with shame and dishonour.
Jẹ́ kí wọn kí ó dààmú, kí a sì run àwọn tí ń ṣe ọ̀tá ọkàn mi kí a sì fi ẹ̀gàn àti àbùkù bo àwọn tí ń wá ìpalára mi.
14 But I will hope continually, and will praise you more and more.
Ṣùgbọ́n ní tèmi, ìgbà gbogbo ní ìrètí mi; èmi ó yìn ọ́ síwájú àti síwájú sí i.
15 My mouth shall declare your righteousness openly, [and] your salvation all the day; for I am not acquainted with the affairs [of men].
Ẹnu mi yóò sọ nípa ti òdodo rẹ, ti ìgbàlà rẹ, ni gbogbo ọjọ́, lóòtítọ́, èmi kò mọ iye rẹ̀.
16 I will go on in the might of the Lord: O Lord, I will make mention of your righteousness only.
Èmi ó wá láti wá kéde agbára, Olúwa Olódùmarè; èmi ó kéde òdodo rẹ̀ nìkan.
17 O God, you have taught me from my youth, and until now will I declare your wonders;
Láti ìgbà èwe, Ọlọ́run ni ìwọ ti kọ́ mi títí di òní ni mo ń sọ ti iṣẹ́ ìyanu rẹ.
18 even until I am old and advanced in years. O God, forsake me not; until I shall have declared your arm to all the generation that is to come:
Pẹ̀lúpẹ̀lú, nígbà tí èmi di arúgbó tán tí mo sì hewú, má ṣe kọ̀ mí sílẹ̀, Ọlọ́run mi, títí èmi ó fi ipá rẹ han ìran tí ń bọ̀, àti agbára rẹ fún gbogbo àwọn tí ń bọ̀ lẹ́yìn.
19 even your power and your righteousness, O God, up to the highest [heavens, even] the mighty works which you has done: O God, who is like to you?
Ọlọ́run, òdodo rẹ dé ọ̀run, ìwọ tí o ti ṣe ohun ńlá. Ta ni ó dàbí rẹ, Ọlọ́run?
20 What afflictions many and sore have you showed me! yet you did turn and quicken me, and brought me again from the depths of the earth.
Pẹ̀lúpẹ̀lú ìwọ ti mú mi rí ìdààmú, tí ó pọ̀ tí ó sì korò, ìwọ yóò tún sọ ayé mi jí ìwọ yóò sì tún mú mi sọ sókè láti ọ̀gbun ilẹ̀ wá. Ìwọ yóò sọ ọlá mi di púpọ̀.
21 You did multiply your righteousness, and did turn and comfort me, and brought me again out of the depths of the earth.
Ìwọ yóò fi kún ọwọ́ mi ìwọ yóò tù mí nínú ní ha gbogbo.
22 I will also therefore give thanks to you, O God, [because of] your truth, on an instrument of psalmody: I will sing psalms to you on the harp, O Holy One of Israel.
Èmi yóò fi dùùrù mi yìn fún òtítọ́ rẹ, Ọlọ́run mi; èmi ó kọrin ìyìn sí ọ pẹ̀lú dùùrù ìwọ ẹni mímọ́ Israẹli.
23 My lips shall rejoice when I sing to you; and my soul, which you have redeemed.
Ètè mi yóò kígbe fún ìyìn nígbà tí mo bá kọrin ìyìn sí ọ: èmi, ẹni tí o rà padà.
24 Moreover also my tongue shall dwell all the day upon your righteousness; when they shall be ashamed and confounded that seek my hurt.
Ahọ́n mi yóò sọ ti òdodo rẹ ní gbogbo ọjọ́, fún àwọn tí ó fẹ́ pa mí lára, a sì dójúti àwọn tí ń wá ìdààmú mi.
