Psalms 7
1 A Psalm of David, which he sang to the Lord because of the words of Chusi the Benjamite. O Lord my God, in you have I trusted: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me.
En sång av David, som han sjöng till HERREN för benjaminiten Kus' ords skull.
2 Lest at any time [the enemy] seize my soul as a lion, while there is none to ransom, nor to save.
HERRE, min Gud, till dig tager jag min tillflykt; fräls mig från alla mina förföljare och rädda mig,
3 O Lord my God, if I have done this; (if there is unrighteousness in my hands; )
så att de icke, såsom lejon, sönderslita min själ och rycka bort henne utan räddning.
4 if I have requited with evil those who requited me [with good]; may I then perish empty by means of my enemies.
HERRE, min Gud, har jag gjort sådant, och är orätt i mina händer,
5 Let the enemy persecute my soul, an take it; and let him trample my life on the ground, and lay my glory in the dust. (Pause)
har jag med ont vedergällt ned som höll frid med mig eller plundrat den som var min ovän utan sak,
6 Arise, O Lord, in your wrath; be exalted in the utmost boundaries of mine enemies: awake, O Lord my God, according to the decree which you did command.
så förfölje fienden min själ och tage henne fatt och trampe mitt liv till jorden och lägge min ära i stoftet. (Sela)
7 And the congregation of the nations shall compass you: and for this cause do you return on high.
Stå upp, HERRE, i din vrede, res dig mot mina ovänners raseri och vakna upp till min hjälp, du som har påbjudit dom.
8 The Lord shall judge the nations: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to my innocence that is in me.
Må folkens församling omgiva dig, och må du över den vända åter till höjden.
9 Oh let the wickedness of sinners come to an end; and [then] you shall direct the righteous, O God that search the hearts and reins.
HERREN håller dom över folken; skaffa mig rätt, HERRE, efter min rättfärdighet och ostrafflighet.
10 My help is righteous, [coming] from God who saves the upright in heart.
Låt de ogudaktigas ondska få en ände, men håll den rättfärdige vid makt; ty du, som prövar hjärtan och njurar, är en rättfärdig Gud.
11 God is a righteous judge, and strong, and patient, not inflicting vengeance every day.
Min sköld är i Guds hand; han frälsar de rättsinniga.
12 If you will not repent, he will furbish his sword; he has bent his bow, and made it ready.
Gud är en rättfärdig domare och en Gud som dagligen vredgas.
13 And on it he has fitted the instruments of death; he has completed his arrows for the raging ones.
Om någon icke vill omvända sig, så vässer han sitt svärd, sin båge spänner han och gör den redo;
14 Behold, he has travailed with unrighteousness, he has conceived trouble, and brought forth iniquity.
och han riktar mot honom dödande skott, sina pilar gör han brinnande.
15 He has opened a pit, and dug it up, and he shall fall into the ditch which he has made.
Se, denne är i födsloarbete med fördärv, han går havande med olycka, men han föder ett intet.
16 His trouble shall return on his own head, and his unrighteousness shall come down on his own crown.
Han gräver en grop och gör den djup, men han faller själv i den grav som han gräver.
17 I will give thanks to the Lord according to his righteousness; I will sing to the name of the Lord most high.
Den olycka han tänkte vålla vänder tillbaka på hans huvud, och över hans hjässa kommer hans ondska. Jag vill tacka HERREN efter hans rättfärdighet och lovsjunga HERRENS, den Högstes, namn. Se Ära i Ordförkl.
