< Psalms 52 >
1 For the end, [a Psalm] of instruction by David, when Doec the Idumean came and told Saul, and said to him, David is gone to the house of Abimelech. Why do you, O mighty man, boast of iniquity in [your] mischief? All the day
Kwa mtsogoleri wa mayimbidwe, ndakatulo ya Davide; pamene Doegi Mwedomu anapita kwa Sauli ndi kunena kuti “Davide wapita ku nyumba ya Ahimeleki.” Nʼchifukwa chiyani ukudzitamandira ndi zoyipa, iwe munthu wamphamvu? Nʼchifukwa chiyani ukudzitamandira tsiku lonse, iwe munthu wochititsa manyazi pamaso pa Mulungu?
2 your tongue has devised unrighteousness; like a sharpened razor you have wrought deceit.
Tsiku lonse umakhalira kuganizira za kuwononga ena; lilime lako lili ngati lumo lakuthwa, ntchito yako nʼkunyenga.
3 You have loved wickedness more than goodness; unrighteousness better than to speak righteousness. (Pause)
Iwe umakonda choyipa mʼmalo mwa kuyankhula choonadi. Umakonda kunama kupambana kuyankhula zoona. (Sela)
4 You has loved all words of destruction, [and] a deceitful tongue.
Umakonda mawu onse opweteka, iwe lilime lachinyengo!
5 Therefore may God destroy you for ever, may he pluck you up and utterly remove you from [your] dwelling, and your root from the land of the living. (Pause)
Zoonadi Mulungu adzakutsitsa kupita ku chiwonongeko chamuyaya: iye adzakukwatula ndi kukuchotsa mʼtenti yako; iye adzakuzula kuchoka mʼdziko la amoyo.
6 And the righteous shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him, and say,
Olungama adzaona zimenezi ndi kuchita mantha; adzamuseka nʼkumanena kuti,
7 Behold the man who made not God his help; but trusted in the abundance of his wealth, and strengthened himself in his vanity.
“Pano tsopano pali munthu amene sanayese Mulungu linga lake, koma anakhulupirira chuma chake chambiri nalimbika kuchita zoyipa!”
8 But I am as a fruitful olive in the house of God: I have trusted in the mercy of God for ever, even for evermore.
Koma ine ndili ngati mtengo wa olivi wobiriwira bwino mʼnyumba ya Mulungu; ndimadalira chikondi chosatha cha Mulungu kwa nthawi za nthawi.
9 I will give thanks to you for ever, for you have done [it]: and I will wait on your name; for [it is] good before the saints.
Ine ndidzakutamandani kwamuyaya chifukwa cha zimene mwachita; chifukwa cha zimene mwachita; mʼdzina lanu ndidzayembekezera pakuti dzina lanulo ndi labwino. Ndidzakutamandani pamaso pa oyera mtima anu.
