Psalms 45
1 For the end, for alternate [strains] by the sons of Core; for instruction, a Song concerning the beloved. My heart has uttered a good matter: I declare my works to the king: my tongue is the pen of a quick writer.
Moje srce narekuje dobro stvar, govorim o zadevah, ki sem jih storil glede kralja, moj jezik je pero veščega pisca.
2 You are more beautiful than the sons of men: grace has been shed forth on your lips: therefore God has blessed you for ever.
Pravičnejši si od človeških otrok, na tvoje ustnice je izlita milost, zato te je Bog blagoslovil na veke.
3 Gird your sword upon your thigh, O Mighty One, in your comeliness, and in your beauty;
Ob svoje stegno opaši svoj meč, oh najbolj mogočni, s svojo slavo in svojim veličanstvom.
4 and bend [your bow], and prosper, and reign, because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and your right hand shall guide you wonderfully.
V svojem veličanstvu uspešno jahaj zaradi resnice, krotkosti in pravičnosti, in tvoja desnica te bo učila strašnih stvari.
5 Your weapons are sharpened, Mighty One, (the nations shall fall under you) [they are] in the heart of the king's enemies.
Tvoje puščice so ostre v srcu kraljevih sovražnikov, s čimer ljudstvo pade pod teboj.
6 Your throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of your kingdom is a sceptre of righteousness.
Tvoj prestol, oh Bog, je na veke vekov, žezlo tvojega kraljestva je žezlo pravičnosti.
7 You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity: therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your fellows.
Ljubiš pravičnost in sovražiš zlobnost, zato te je Bog, tvoj Bog, mazilil z oljem veselja nad tvojimi tovariši.
8 Myrrh, and stacte, and cassia [are exhaled] from your garments, [and] out of the ivory palaces,
Vse tvoje obleke dišijo po miri in aloji ter kasiji iz slonokoščenih palač, s čimer so te storili veselega.
9 with which kings' daughters have gladdened you for your honour: the queen stood by on your right hand, clothed in vesture wrought with gold, [and] arrayed in various colours.
Kraljeve hčere so bile med tvojimi častitljivimi ženskami. Na tvoji desnici je stala kraljica v zlatu iz Ofírja.
10 Hear, O daughter, and see, and incline your ear; forget also your people, and your father's house.
Prisluhni, oh hči in preudari ter nagni svoje uho, pozabi tudi svoje lastno ljudstvo in hišo svojega očeta,
11 Because the king has desired your beauty; for he is your Lord.
tako bo kralj silno hrepenel [po] tvoji lepoti, kajti on je tvoj Gospod in obožuj ga.
12 And the daughter of Tyre shall adore him with gifts; the rich of the people of the land shall supplicate your favour.
Tirska hči bo tam z darilom; celó bogati izmed ljudstva bodo milo prosili tvoje naklonjenosti.
13 All her glory [is that] of the daughter of the king of Esebon, robed [as she is] in golden fringed garments,
Kraljeva hči je vsa veličastna v notranjosti. Njeno oblačilo je iz vézenega zlata.
14 in embroidered [clothing]: virgins shall be brought to the king after her: her fellows shall be brought to you.
H kralju bo privedena v oblačilu iz vezenine. Device, njene družabnice, ki ji sledijo, bodo privedene k tebi.
15 They shall be brought with gladness and exultation: they shall be led into the king's temple.
Privedene bodo z veseljem in radovanjem, vstopile bodo v kraljevo palačo.
16 Instead of your fathers children are born to you: you shall make them princes over all the earth.
Namesto tvojih očetov bodo tvoji otroci, ki jih lahko storiš [za] prince po vsej zemlji.
17 They shall make mention of your name from generation to generation: therefore shall the nations give thanks to you for ever, even for ever and ever.
Tvojemu imenu bom storil, da se [ga] bo spominjalo v vseh rodovih, zato te bo ljudstvo hvalilo na veke vekov.
