< Psalms 43 >
1 A Psalm of David. Judge me, O God, and plead my cause, against an ungodly nation: deliver me from the unjust and crafty man.
psalmus David iudica me Deus et discerne causam meam de gente non sancta ab homine iniquo et doloso erue me
2 For you, O God, are my strength: therefore have you cast me off? and why do I go sad of countenance, while the enemy oppresses [me]?
quia tu es Deus fortitudo mea quare me reppulisti quare tristis incedo dum adfligit me inimicus
3 Send forth your light and your truth: they have led me, and brought me to your holy mountain, and to your tabernacles.
emitte lucem tuam et veritatem tuam ipsa me deduxerunt et adduxerunt in montem sanctum tuum et in tabernacula tua
4 And I will go in to the altar of God, to God who gladdens my youth: I will give thanks to you on the harp, O God, my God.
et introibo ad altare Dei ad Deum qui laetificat iuventutem meam confitebor tibi in cithara Deus Deus meus
5 Therefore are you very sad, O my soul? and therefore do you trouble me? Hope in God; for I will give thanks to him, [who is] the health of my countenance, [and] my God.
quare tristis es anima mea et quare conturbas me spera in Deum quoniam adhuc; confitebor illi salutare vultus mei et; Deus meus
