< Psalms 34 >
1 [A Psalm] of David, when he changed his countenance before Abimelech; and he let him go, and he departed. I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall be continually in my mouth.
Dawid dwom a ɔtoeɛ ɛberɛ a ɔboa pa danee ɔbɔdamfoɔ wɔ Abimelek anim no na ɔpanin no gyaee no ma ɔkɔeɛ no akyi. Mede aseda bɛma Awurade berɛ nyinaa; nʼayɛyie wɔ mʼanom daa.
2 My soul shall boast herself in the Lord: let the meek hear, and rejoice.
Me kra bɛhoahoa ne ho wɔ Awurade mu; ma amanehunufoɔ nte na wɔn nni ahurisie.
3 Magnify you the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
Mo ne me nkamfo Awurade; momma yɛmmɔ mu nkamfo ne din!
4 I sought the Lord diligently, and he listened to me, and delivered me from all my sojournings.
Mefrɛɛ Awurade na ɔgyee me so; na ɔyii me firii mʼakomatuo nyinaa mu.
5 Draw near to him, and be enlightened: and your faces shall not [by any means] be ashamed.
Wɔn a wɔhwɛ nʼanim no hyerɛn na wɔn anim rengu ase da.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord listened to him, and delivered him out of all his afflictions.
Ohiani yi frɛeɛ, na Awurade tiee no; na ɔgyee no firii nʼahohia nyinaa mu.
7 The angel of the Lord will encamp round about them that fear him, and will deliver them.
Awurade ɔbɔfoɔ wɛn wɔn a wɔsuro no, na ɔgye wɔn.
8 Taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man who hopes in him.
Monka nhwɛ na monhunu sɛ Awurade yɛ. Nhyira ne onipa a ɔhinta wɔ ne mu.
9 Fear the Lord, all you his saints: for there is no lack to them that fear him.
Monsuro Awurade, mo a moyɛ nʼahotefoɔ, na wɔn a wɔsuro noɔ no nhia hwee.
10 The rich have become poor and hungry: but they that seek the Lord diligently shall not lack any good thing. (Pause)
Agyata yɛ mmrɛ na ɛkɔm de wɔn, nanso wɔn a wɔhwehwɛ Awurade no, adepa biara remmɔ wɔn.
11 Come, you children, hear me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
Mommra, me mma, monyɛ aso mma me; mɛkyerɛkyerɛ mo Awurade ho suro.
12 What man is there that desires life, loving to see good days?
Mo mu hwan na ɔpɛ nkwa na ɔpɛ sɛ ɔhunu nna papa bebree?
13 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile.
Ɛnneɛ ɛnsɛ sɛ ɔka kasa bɔne, na ɛsɛ sɛ ɔgyae atorɔtwa.
14 Turn away from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Twe wo ho firi bɔne ho, na yɛ papa; hwehwɛ asomdwoeɛ na ti no.
15 The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears [are open] to their prayer:
Awurade ani wɔ ateneneefoɔ so na ɔtie wɔn mpaeɛbɔ;
16 but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to destroy their memorial from the earth. The righteous cried, and the Lord listened to them,
Awurade ani sa wɔn a wɔyɛ bɔne, sɛ ɔbɛyi wɔn nkaeɛ afiri asase yi so.
17 and delivered them out of all their afflictions.
Ateneneefoɔ team su, na Awurade tie wɔn; ɔyi wɔn firi wɔn haw nyinaa mu.
18 The Lord is near to them that are of a contrite heart; and will save the lowly in spirit.
Awurade bɛn wɔn a wɔapa aba na ɔgye wɔn a wɔadwerɛ wɔn wɔ honhom mu no nkwa.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but out of them all Lord will deliver them.
Onipa tenenee bɛhunu amaneɛ bebree nanso Awurade gye no firi ne nyinaa mu;
20 He keeps all their bones: not one of them shall be broken.
ɔbɔ ne nnompe nyinaa ho ban, sɛdeɛ emu baako mpo mmu.
21 The death of sinners is evil: and they that hate righteousness will go wrong.
Bɔne bɛkum ɔdebɔneyɛfoɔ; ɔteneneeni atamfoɔ bɛnya afɔbuo.
22 The Lord will redeem the souls of his servants: and none of those that hope in him shall go wrong.
Awurade gye nʼasomfoɔ nkwa; wɔn a wɔdwane toa noɔ no mu biara renkɔ afɔbuo mu.
