< Psalms 34 >

1 [A Psalm] of David, when he changed his countenance before Abimelech; and he let him go, and he departed. I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall be continually in my mouth.
Andriañeko an-tsà an-tsà t’Iehovà, am-bavako ao nainai’e ty fandrengeañ’ aze.
2 My soul shall boast herself in the Lord: let the meek hear, and rejoice.
Mirenge am’ Iehovà ty troko; ie ho janjiñe’ o tretram-poo le hifalea’e.
3 Magnify you the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
Antao hañonjoñe Iehovà, hitrao-pibango i Tahina’ey.
4 I sought the Lord diligently, and he listened to me, and delivered me from all my sojournings.
Nitsoeheko t’Iehovà, le tinoi’e, fonga nafaha’e amako ty fangebahebako.
5 Draw near to him, and be enlightened: and your faces shall not [by any means] be ashamed.
Niandra ama’e iereo le niloeloe, tsy ho kolopofen-kameñarañe ka ty tarehe’ iareo.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord listened to him, and delivered him out of all his afflictions.
Nitoreo ty rarake, naho nijanjiñ’ aze t’Iehovà, vaho rinomba’e amo hasotria’e iabio.
7 The angel of the Lord will encamp round about them that fear him, and will deliver them.
Mitobe mañohoke o mpañeveñe ama’eo ty anjeli’ Iehovà, vaho haha’e.
8 Taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man who hopes in him.
Tsopeho vaho mahaisaha te soa t’Iehovà; fale t’indaty mitsolok’ ama’e!
9 Fear the Lord, all you his saints: for there is no lack to them that fear him.
Mañeveña am’ Iehovà, ry navahe’eo! amy te tampe-draha irieñe ze mañeveñ’ ama’e.
10 The rich have become poor and hungry: but they that seek the Lord diligently shall not lack any good thing. (Pause)
Mete mililitse vaho mifeake ty kerè o liona tora’eo; fe tsy ho po-kasoa o mitsoek’ Iehovào.
11 Come, you children, hear me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
Mb’etoa, ry anake, tsendreño; hatoroko anahareo ty fañeveñañe am’ Iehovà.
12 What man is there that desires life, loving to see good days?
Ia t’indaty misalala ho veloñe, naho mpitea andro, hahaisaha’e ty hasoa?
13 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile.
Afofio ami’ty raty ty famele’o, naho o soñi’oo tsy hivolam-pìtake.
14 Turn away from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Iholiaro ty raty, le anò ty soa; mitsoeha filongoañe—le heaño.
15 The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears [are open] to their prayer:
Miatreke o vantañeo ty fihaino’ Iehovà, naho o fitoreo’eo o ravembia’eo.
16 but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to destroy their memorial from the earth. The righteous cried, and the Lord listened to them,
Atreatrè’ Iehovà an-daharañe o mpanao ratio; aitoa’e an-tane atoy ty fitiahiañe iareo.
17 and delivered them out of all their afflictions.
Mikaike, le mijanjiñe t’Iehovà, ie haha’e amo hasotriañe iabio.
18 The Lord is near to them that are of a contrite heart; and will save the lowly in spirit.
Marine’ ty mikoretse añ’arofo t’Iehovà, vaho rombahe’e o demok’ an-trok’aoo.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but out of them all Lord will deliver them.
Maro ty mañembetse o vañoñeo, fe avotso’ Iehovà ama’e iaby.
20 He keeps all their bones: not one of them shall be broken.
Ambena’e iaby o taola’eo, leo raike tsy rifotse.
21 The death of sinners is evil: and they that hate righteousness will go wrong.
Havetra’ ty haratiañe ty lo-tsereke, vaho hafàtse ze malaiñe o vantañeo.
22 The Lord will redeem the souls of his servants: and none of those that hope in him shall go wrong.
Jebañe’ Iehovà ty fiai’ o mpitoro’eo, leo raik’ amo mitsolok’ ama’eo tsy hafàtse.
