< Psalms 33 >
1 [A Psalm] of David. Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous; praise becomes the upright.
Momfa ahurisie nto dwom mma Awurade, mo teneneefoɔ, ɛfata sɛ wɔn a wɔtene no yi no ayɛ.
2 Praise the Lord on the harp; platy to him on a lute of ten strings.
Momfa sankuo nkamfo Awurade; monto dwom mma no wɔ sankuten so.
3 Sing to him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
Monto dwom foforɔ mma no. Momfa nimdeɛ mmɔ sankuo no na monteam ahurisie so!
4 For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are faithful.
Awurade asɛm tene, na ɛyɛ nokorɛ ɔdi nokorɛ wɔ deɛ ɔyɛ nyinaa mu.
5 He loves mercy and judgement; the earth is full the mercy of the Lord.
Awurade dɔ teneneeyɛ ne atɛntenenee. Nʼadɔeɛ a ɛnsa da no ahyɛ asase so ma.
6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the host of them by the breath of his [mouth].
Awurade asɛm so na wɔnam yɛɛ ɔsorosoro, nʼanom homeɛ so na wɔnam yɛɛ ɔsoro asafo.
7 Who gathers the waters of the sea as [in] a bottle; who lays up the deeps in treasuries.
Ɔka ɛpo nsuo boa ano kuo; na ɔde ebunu siee deɛ ɛhɔ dɔ.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; and let all that dwell in the world be moved because of him.
Momma asase sofoɔ nyinaa nsuro Awurade; na ewiasefoɔ nyinaa mfa anidie mma no.
9 For he spoke, and they were made; he commanded, and they were created.
Ɔno na ɔkasaeɛ na ɛbaa mu na ɔhyɛeɛ na ɛgyinaa pintinn.
10 The Lord frustrates the counsels of the nations; he brings to nothing also the reasonings of the peoples, and brings to nothing the counsels of princes.
Awurade sɛe amanaman no nhyehyɛeɛ; ɔma adasamma nsusuiɛ yɛ kwa.
11 But the counsel of the Lord endures for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
Nanso, Awurade nhyehyɛeɛ tim hɔ daa, nʼakoma mu botaeɛ wɔ hɔ ma awoɔ ntoatoasoɔ.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
Nhyira ne ɔman a ne Onyankopɔn ne Awurade, nnipa a ɔyii wɔn sɛ nʼagyapadeɛ no.
13 The Lord looks out of heaven; he beholds all the sons of men.
Awurade hwɛ adasamma nyinaa firi soro.
14 He looks from his prepared habitation on all the dwellers on the earth;
Ɔfiri nʼatenaeɛ hwɛ wɔn a wɔte asase so nyinaa.
15 who fashioned their hearts alone; who understands all their works.
Ɔno ne deɛ ɔbɔɔ wɔn nyinaa akoma, enti ɔnim deɛ wɔyɛ nyinaa.
16 A king is not saved by reason of a great host; and a giant shall not be delivered by the greatness of his strength.
Ɛnyɛ ɔhene akodɔm kɛseɛ na ɛbɛgye no; ɛnyɛ ɔkofoɔ ahoɔden na ɛbɛma no afiri mu afi.
17 A horse is vain for safety; neither shall he be delivered by the greatness of his power.
Ɔpɔnkɔ mu ahotosoɔ yɛ kwa wɔ nkwagyeɛ mu; nʼahoɔden nyinaa akyi no, ɔrentumi nnye nkwa.
18 Behold, the eyes of the Lord are on them that fear him, those that hope in his mercy;
Nanso Awurade ani wɔ wɔn a wɔsuro no no so, wɔn a wɔwɔ anidasoɔ wɔ ne dɔ a ɛnsa da no mu,
19 to deliver their souls from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
sɛ ɔbɛgye wɔn afiri owuo mu na wama wɔatena nkwa mu wɔ ɛkɔm berɛ mu.
20 Our soul waits on the Lord; for he is our helper and defender.
Yɛde anidasoɔ twɛn Awurade; ɔyɛ yɛn ɔboafoɔ ne yɛn akokyɛm.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, and we have hoped in his holy name.
Ne mu na yɛn akoma di ahurisie, ɛfiri sɛ yɛde yɛn ho to ne din kronkron no so.
22 Let your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we have hoped in you.
Ma wʼadɔeɛ a ɛnsa da no ntena yɛn so, Ao Awurade, sɛdeɛ anidasoɔ a yɛwɔ wɔ mu no teɛ.
