< Psalms 33 >
1 [A Psalm] of David. Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous; praise becomes the upright.
Nangmih thlakdyngkhqi aw, Bawipa venawh zeelnaak laa sa lah uh; thlakdyng ham taw amah kyihcah ve tyng qoe hy.
2 Praise the Lord on the harp; platy to him on a lute of ten strings.
Tingtoeng ing amah ce kyihcah unawh taw; a qui pahqa ak law qaw tingtoeng ing tum sih bai lah uh.
3 Sing to him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
A venawh lak thai sa unawh; zeelnaak ing khy am kqang doena tum lah uh.
4 For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are faithful.
Ikawtih, Bawipa ak awi taw thym nawh dyng hy; a ik-oeih sainaak boeih awh ypawm hy.
5 He loves mercy and judgement; the earth is full the mercy of the Lord.
Ak dyng ingkaw ak thym ve Bawipa ing lungna nawh; khawmdek ve amak dyt thai a lungnaak ing be hy.
6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the host of them by the breath of his [mouth].
Bawipa ak awi ing khankhqi ce sai na awm nawh, ang hqi ing aihchikhqi awm sai hy.
7 Who gathers the waters of the sea as [in] a bottle; who lays up the deeps in treasuries.
Tuicunli awhkaw tuikhqi ce cun kang nawh; tuidungnaak hun ce am cunnaak im na tahy.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; and let all that dwell in the world be moved because of him.
Khawmdek boeih ing Bawipa kqih seitaw; khawmdek thlangkhqi boeih ing amah ce kqihchah seh.
9 For he spoke, and they were made; he commanded, and they were created.
Ikawtih, anih ingtaw kqawn nawh coeng sak hy; awi pe nawh ak cak na dyih sak hy.
10 The Lord frustrates the counsels of the nations; he brings to nothing also the reasonings of the peoples, and brings to nothing the counsels of princes.
Pilnamkhqi ang cainaak ce Bawipa ing plal sak hy; thlangkhqi boeih ang cai sihnaakkhqi awm hqe pehy.
11 But the counsel of the Lord endures for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
Cehlai, Bawipa ang cainaak taw kumqui dyna cak hy, ak kawlung ing ang cainaakkhqi boeih awm cadil dyna cak hy.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
A qo pang aham amah ing tyk nawh, Bawipa ce a Khawsa na ak ta qam taw a zoseen hy.
13 The Lord looks out of heaven; he beholds all the sons of men.
Khan nakawng Bawipa ing anuk toek awh thlanghqing boeih ce hu hy.
14 He looks from his prepared habitation on all the dwellers on the earth;
A awmnaak hun awhkawng khawmdek awhkaw ak awm thlangkhqi boeih ce qeh hy-
15 who fashioned their hearts alone; who understands all their works.
Thlang boeih ak kawlung ak saikung ing, a ik-oeih sainaakkhqi boeih awm poek pehy.
16 A king is not saved by reason of a great host; and a giant shall not be delivered by the greatness of his strength.
Kawmih a sangpahrang awm a qalkap ing am hul hy, ikawmyihna a qaal ak leek soeih awm ak thaawmnaak ing am loet sak hy.
17 A horse is vain for safety; neither shall he be delivered by the greatness of his power.

18 Behold, the eyes of the Lord are on them that fear him, those that hope in his mercy;

20 Our soul waits on the Lord; for he is our helper and defender.

21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, and we have hoped in his holy name.

22 Let your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we have hoped in you.
