< Psalms 31 >
1 For the end, a Psalm of David, [an utterance] of extreme fear. O Lord, I have hoped in you; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in your righteousness and rescue me.
Kathutkung: Devit Oe BAWIPA, nang doeh na kâuep. Kaya hoi na awm sak hanh. Na lannae hoi na rungngang haw.
2 Incline your ear to me; make haste to rescue me: be you to me for a protecting God, and for a house of refuge to save me.
Kai koelah na hnâpakeng nateh, karanglah na rungngang haw. Ka kâhronae lungsong hoi rungngang nahanlah ngangnae rapan lah awm haw.
3 For you are my strength and my refuge; and you shall guide me for your name's sake, and maintain me.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, nang teh ka lungsong hoi ka kâhronae lah na o. Hatdawkvah, na min kecu dawk na hrawi nateh, na patue haw.
4 You shall bring me out of the snare which they have hidden for me; for you, O Lord, are my defender.
Kai hanlah, arulahoi a phai awh e tamlawk dawk hoi na rasat haw. Bangkongtetpawiteh, nang teh ka thaonae doeh.
5 Into your hands I will commit my spirit: you have redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.
Oe BAWIPA, lawkkatang Cathut, na kut dawk ka muitha ka hruek.
6 You has hated them that idly persist in vanities: but I have hoped in the Lord.
Cungkeihoehe meikaphawk alawkpui lah kahruengnaw hah ka hmuhma. Hatei, kai teh BAWIPA ka kâuep.
7 I will exult and be glad in your mercy: for you have looked upon mine affliction; you have saved my soul from distresses.
Na pahrennae lahoi, ka konawm vaiteh, ka lung pou ahawi han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ka runae hah ouk na hmu pouh. Runae thung ka hringnae hah na panue.
8 And you have not shut me up into the hands of the enemy: you have set my feet in a wide place.
Taran kut dawk na poe laipalah, A hmuen kawnae koe ka khok hah ouk na hruek.
9 Pity me, O Lord, for I am afflicted: my eye is troubled with indignation, my soul and by belly.
Oe BAWIPA, na pahren haw. Bangkongtetpawiteh, runae thungvah ka o. Ka lungmathoe lawi ka mit koung a ro toe. Bokheiyah, ka muitha hoi ka takthai totouh a ro toe.
10 For my life is spent with grief, and my years with groanings: my strength has been weakened through poverty, and my bones are troubled.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, ka hringnae heh lungmathoenae hoi koung ka hno toe. Kum moikasawlah ka cingou. Ka payonnae ni ka thaonae a baw sak. Ka hru hai koung a hmawn toe.
11 I became a reproach amongst all mine enemies, but exceedingly so to my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that saw me without fled from me.
Ka tarannaw ni pathoe hanelah doeh ka o. A lawkpui lah, ka imrinaw hanelah hoe ka o. Ka hui kahawi ni na panuet teh, lam dawk na ka hmawt e ni na yawng takhai.
12 I have been forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am become as a broken vessel.
Tami kadout patetlah pahnim lah ka o teh, ampaikei patetlah ka o.
13 For I heard the slander of many that lived round about: when they were gathered together against me, they took counsel to take my life.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, tami moikapap ni a dei awh e ka thai. A hmuen tangkuem takinae ao. Ka hringnae la hanelah kâcai laihoi a kamkhueng awh teh, kho a khan awh.
14 But I hoped in you, O Lord: I said, You are my God.
Hatei, Oe BAWIPA, kai ni teh nang doeh na kâuep. Ka Cathut doeh ka ti.
15 My lots are in your hands: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies,
Kaie tuengnaw teh na kut dawk ao. Ka tarannaw kut dawk hoi, na kapahuipalamnaw kut dawk hoi, na rungngang haw.
16 and from them that persecute me. Make your face to shine upon your servant: save me in your mercy.
Na san koe na mei ang naseh. Na pahrennae lahoi na rungngang lawiseh.
17 O Lord, let me not be ashamed, for I have called upon you: let the ungodly be ashamed, and brought down to Hades. (Sheol )
Oe BAWIPA, kaya hoi na awm sak hanh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, nang teh na kaw toe. Tamikathoutnaw teh, kaya laihoi phuen vah duem awm awh naseh. (Sheol )
18 Let the deceitful lips become dumb, which speak iniquity against the righteous with pride and scorn.
Tamikalannaw taran lahoi, kâoupnae, hoi matheng laihoi laithoe deinae pahni teh, lawkkamuem lah o sak lah awm seh.
19 How abundant is the multitude of your goodness, O Lord, which you have laid up for them that fear you! you have wrought [it] out for them that hope on you, in the presence of the sons of men.
Oe nang kataketnaw hanelah, na pâkhueng e hoi tami capanaw mithmu vah, nang kâuepnaw hanelah, na noe e na hawinae hah banghloimaw a bawilen.
20 You will hide them in the secret of your presence from the vexation of man: you will screen them in a tabernacle from the contradiction of tongues.
Taminaw e arulahoi khokhangnae thung hoi, hlout sak nahanelah, ahnimanaw teh, na onae koe na hmalah na hro han. Tamthoe kadeinaw e lai dawk hoi na rungngang vaiteh, na rim dawk na hro han.
21 Blessed be the Lord: for he has magnified his mercy in a fortified city.
BAWIPA teh pholen lah awm seh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, kângairu a pahrennae teh, kacakpounge khopui dawk na hmu sak.
22 But I said in my extreme fear, I am cast out from the sight of your eyes: therefore you did listen, O Lord, to the voice of my supplication when I cried to you.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, kai teh na mithmu vah, tâkhawng lah yo ka o toe telah tang ka dei. Hatei, ka hram teh pahrennae ka hei e lawk hah na thai.
23 Love the Lord, all you his saints: for the Lord seeks for truth, and renders [a reward] to them that deal very proudly.
Oe tamikathoungnaw pueng, BAWIPA teh lungpataw awh. Bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA ni yuemkamcu e hah a khetyawt teh, kâoupnaw hah moi a pathung.
24 Be of good courage, and let your heart be strengthened, all you that hope in the Lord.
BAWIPA kâuepnaw pueng, tarankahawi lah awm awh, na lungthin a thao sak han.
