Psalms 27
1 [A Psalm] of David, before he was anointed. The Lord is my light and my Saviour; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the defender of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
தாவீதின் சங்கீதம். யெகோவா என் வெளிச்சமும் இரட்சிப்புமாயிருக்கிறார், நான் யாருக்குப் பயப்படுவேன்? யெகோவா என் வாழ்க்கையின் அரணாய் இருக்கிறார், நான் யாருக்குப் பயப்படுவேன்?
2 When evil-doers drew near against me to eat up my flesh, my persecutors and mine enemies, they fainted and fell.
தீய மனிதர் என்னை விழுங்கும்படி எனக்கு விரோதமாக முன்னேறி வரும்போது, எனது பகைவரும் விரோதிகளுமான அவர்களே தடுமாறி விழுவார்கள்.
3 Though an army should set itself in array against me, my heart shall not be afraid: though war should rise up against me, in this am I confident.
ஒரு இராணுவம் என்னை முற்றுகையிட்டாலும், என் இருதயம் பயப்படாது; எனக்கு விரோதமாக யுத்தம் மூண்டாலும், அப்பொழுதுங்கூட நான் நம்பிக்கையோடே இருப்பேன்.
4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, this will I earnestly seek: that I should dwell in the house of the Lord, all the days of my life, that I should behold the fair beauty of the Lord, and survey his temple.
நான் யெகோவாவிடத்தில் ஒன்றைக் கேட்கிறேன், அதையே நான் தேடுகிறேன்: நான் யெகோவாவின் அழகைக் காண்பதற்கும், அவருடைய ஆலயத்தில் அவரை தேடுவதற்கும் நான் என் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் யெகோவாவினுடைய வீட்டில் குடியிருப்பதையே வாஞ்சிக்கிறேன்.
5 For in the day of mine afflictions he hid me in his tabernacle: he sheltered me in the secret of his tabernacle; he set me up on a rock.
ஏனெனில் துன்ப நாளில், அவர் என்னைத் தமது அடைக்கலத்தில் வைத்து காத்துக்கொள்ளுவார்; அவர் என்னைத் தமது பரிசுத்த கூடார மறைவில் ஒளித்துவைத்து, கற்பாறையின்மேல் என்னை உயர்த்துவார்.
6 And now, behold, he has lifted up mine head over mine enemies: I went round and offered in his tabernacle the sacrifice of joy; I will sing even sing psalms to the Lord.
அப்பொழுது என் தலை என்னைச் சுற்றியுள்ள பகைவர்களுக்கு மேலாக உயர்த்தப்படும்; அவருடைய பரிசுத்த கூடாரத்திலே நான் ஆனந்த சத்தத்தோடு பலிகளையிட்டு, யெகோவாவைப் புகழ்ந்து பாடுவேன்.
7 Hear, O Lord, my voice which I have uttered aloud: pity me, and listen to me.
யெகோவாவே, நான் உம்மைக் கூப்பிடும்போது என் குரலைக் கேளும்; என்னில் இரக்கமாயிருந்து, எனக்குப் பதில் தாரும்.
8 My heart said to you, I have diligently sought your face: your face, O Lord, I will seek.
என் இருதயம் உம்மிடத்தில், “அவர் முகத்தையே தேடு!” என்றதால், யெகோவாவே, உமது முகத்தையே நான் தேடுவேன்.
9 Turn not your face away from me, turn not you away from your servant in anger: be you my helper, forsake me not; and, O God my Saviour, overlook me not.
உமது முகத்தை என்னிடமிருந்து மறைத்துக் கொள்ளாதேயும்; கோபங்கொண்டு உமது அடியேனைத் துரத்தி விடாதேயும்; நீரே எனக்கு உதவியாய் இருந்திருக்கிறீர். என் இரட்சிப்பின் இறைவனே, என்னைப் புறக்கணிக்கவோ, கைவிடவோ வேண்டாம்.
10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord has taken me to himself.
என் தந்தையும் தாயும் என்னைக் கைவிட்டாலும், யெகோவா என்னை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வார்.
11 Teach me, O Lord, in your way, and guide me in a right path, because of mine enemies.
யெகோவாவே, உமது வழியை எனக்குப் போதியும்; என்னைத் தீயநோக்கத்தோடு பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருப்பவர்களின் நிமித்தம் என்னை நேரான பாதையில் நடத்தும்.
12 Deliver me not over to the desire of them that afflict me; for unjust witnesses have risen up against me, and injustice has lied within herself.
என் பகைவரின் ஆசைகளுக்கு என்னை ஒப்புக்கொடாதேயும்; ஏனெனில் பொய்ச்சாட்சி கூறுபவர்களும் என்னை குற்றஞ்சாட்டுபவர்களும் எனக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிறார்கள்.
13 I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
நானோ வாழ்வோரின் நாட்டில் யெகோவாவின் நன்மையைக் காண்பேன் என்று இதில் நான் நம்பிக்கையாயிருக்கிறேன்.
14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and let your heart be strengthened: yes wait on the Lord.
யெகோவாவுக்குக் காத்திரு; பெலன்கொண்டு தைரியமாயிரு, யெகோவாவுக்கே காத்திரு.
