< Psalms 23 >

1 A Psalm of David. The Lord tends me as a shepherd, and I shall lack nothing.
David ih Saam laa. Angraeng loe kai ih tuu toepkung ah oh; kam tang mak ai.
2 In a place of green grass, there he has made me dwell: he has nourished me by the water of rest.
Anih mah qam kahing ahmuen ah ang taboksak: anih mah tui taengah ang hoih.
3 He has restored my soul: he has guided me into the paths of righteousness, for his name's sake.
Anih mah ka hinghaih tha ang caksak: anih mah angmah ih ahmin hanah, toenghaih loklam ah ang hoih.
4 Yes, even if I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will not be afraid of evils: for you are with me; your rod and your staff, these have comforted me.
Ue, duekhaih tahlip mah khuk ih tahawt thungah ka caeh langlacadoeh, kai nang oh thuih pongah, kahoih ai hmuen roe to ka zii mak ai: nang ih thing hoi cunghet mah poekhaih ang mongsak.
5 You has prepared a table before me in presence of them that afflict me: you have thoroughly anointed my head with oil; and your cup cheers me like the best [wine].
Ka misanawk hmaa ah caboi nang paroep pae: ka lu ah situi nang bawh; ka boengloeng loe amtlai pok.
6 Your mercy also shall follow me all the days of my life: and my dwelling [shall be] in the house of the Lord for a very long time.
Ka hing thung hoihaih hoi palungnathaih to ka hnu poe ueloe, Angraeng imthung ah dungzan khoek to ka om tih boeh.
