Psalms 21

1 For the end, a Psalm of David. O Lord, the king shall rejoice in your strength; and in your salvation he shall greatly exult.

Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Salamo nataon’ i Davida. Jehovah ô, ny herinao no hifalian’ ny mpanjaka; ary endrey ny haben’ ny hiravoravoany amin’ ny famonjenao!

2 You have granted him the desire of his soul, and have not withheld from him the request of his lips. (Pause)

Ny nirin’ ny fony dia nomenao azy, ary ny nangatahin’ ny molony tsy mba nolavinao. (Sela)

3 For you have prevented him with blessings of goodness: you has set upon his head a crown of precious stone.

Fa notsenainao fitahiana soa izy; teo an-dohany nasianao satro-boninahitra tena volamena.

4 He asked life of you, and you gave him length of days for ever and ever.

Aina no nangatahiny taminao, dia nomenao azy izany, dia andro lava mandrakizay doria.

5 His glory is great in your salvation: you will crown him with glory and majesty.

Lehibe ny voninahiny amin’ ny famonjenao; Laza sy voninahitra no nataonao taminy.

6 For you will give him a blessing for ever and ever: you will gladden him with joy with your countenance.

Fa nataonao ho fitahiana mandrakizay izy; ampifalinao indrindra amin’ ny tavanao izy.

7 For the king trusts in the Lord, and through the mercy of the Highest he shall not be moved.

Fa ny mpanjaka matoky an’ i Jehovah, ary noho ny famindram-pon’ ny Avo Indrindra dia tsy hangozohozo izy.

8 Let your hand be found by all your enemies: let your right hand find all that hate you.

Ho azon’ ny tananao ny fahavalonao rehetra; eny, ho azon’ ny tananao ankavanana ny mankahala anao;

9 You shall make them as a fiery oven at the time of your presence: the Lord shall trouble them in his anger, and fire shall devour them.

Hataonao tahaka ny fatana misy afo mirehitra izy amin’ ny andro hisehoanao, Jehovah handany azy amin’ ny fahatezerany, ary handevona azy ny afo.

10 You shall destroy their fruit from the earth, and their seed from [amongst] the sons of men.

Ny zanany haringanao tsy ho eo amin’ ny tany, ary ny taranany tsy ho eo amin’ ny zanak’ olombelona;

11 For they intended evils against you; they imagined a device which they shall by no means be able to perform.

Fa nikasa hanisy ratsy anao izy, ka namoron-kevi-dratsy fa tsy nahefa.

12 For you shall make them [turn their] back in your latter end, you will prepare their face.

Fa hampiamboho azy ianao; ny tsipìkanao no ikendrenao ny tavany.

13 Be you exalted, O Lord, in your strength: we will sing and praise your mighty acts.

Misandrata amin’ ny herinao, Jehovah ô, hihira sy hankalaza ny herinao izahay.
