< Psalms 17 >

1 A prayer of David. Listen, O Lord of my righteousness, attend to my petition; give ear to my prayer not [uttered] with deceitful lips.
Fivavak’ i Davida.
2 Let my judgement come forth from your presence; let mine eyes behold righteousness.
Hivoaka avy eo anatrehanao ny fitsarana ahy; ny masonao hijery marina.
3 You has proved mine heart; you have visited [me] by night; you have tried me as with fire, and unrighteousness has not been found in me: [I am purposed] that my mouth shall not speak [amiss].
Nizaha toetra ny foko Hianao, namantatra ahy nony alina; nizaha toetra ahy tamin’ ny memy Hianao, fa tsy nahita na inona na inona; ny vavako tsy hafa noho ny eritreritro.
4 As for the works of men, by the words of your lips I have guarded [myself from] hard ways.
Ny amin’ ny asan’ ny olona, dia ny tenin’ ny molotrao no nitandremako tsy ho amin’ ny lalan’ ny mpanao an-keriny.
5 Direct my steps in your paths, that my steps slip not.
Ny diako maharitra eo amin’ ny lalanao, tsy solafaka ny tongotro.
6 I have cried, for you heard me, O God: incline your ear to me, and listen to my words.
Izaho miantso Anao, ka mamaly ahy Hianao, Andriamanitra ô; atongilano amiko ny sofinao, ka henoy ny teniko.
7 Show the marvels of your mercies, you that save them that hope in you.
Ataovy mahagaga ny famindram-ponao, ry Mpamonjy amin’ ny tananao ankavanana izay olona mialoka aminao, mba tsy ho azon’ ny fahavalo.
8 Keep me as the apple of the eye from those that resist your right hand: you shall screen me by the covering of your wings,
Arovy tahaka ny anakandriamaso aho, afeno ao ambanin’ ny aloky ny elatrao,
9 from the face of the ungodly that have afflicted me: mine enemies have compassed about my soul.
Mba tsy ho azon’ ny ratsy fanahy izay mampahory ahy, dia ny fahavaloko masiaka, izay manodidina ahy.
10 They have enclosed [themselves with] their own fat: their mouth has spoken pride.
Efa mihirim-belona izy; teny miavonavona no aloaky ny vavany.
11 They have now cast me out and compassed me round about: they have set their eyes [so as] to bow them down to the ground.
Manodidina anay amin’ ny alehanay ankehitriny izy, Vandrininy hapotrany amin’ ny tany izahay;
12 They laid wait for me as a lion ready for prey, and like a lion's whelp dwelling in secret [places].
Ny fijery azy dia tahaka ny liona noana ta-hamiravira, sy tahaka ny liona tanora mamitsaka ao am-pierena.
13 Arise, O Lord, prevent them, and cast them down: deliver my soul from the ungodly: [draw] your sword,
Mitsangàna, Jehovah ô, sakano izy, aripaho izy; vonjeo amin’ ny sabatrao ny fanahiko tsy ho azon’ ny ratsy fanahy;
14 because of the enemies of your hand: O Lord, destroy them from the earth; scatter them in their life, though their belly has been filled with your hidden [treasures]: they have been satisfied with uncleanness, and have left the remnant [of their possessions] to their babes.
Vonjeo amin’ ny tananao aho, Jehovah ô, mba tsy ho azon’ ny olon’ izao tontolo izao, izay manana ny anjarany amin’ izao fiainana izao, sady fenoinao ny harenao ny kibony; Maro anaka izy, dia mamela ny fananany be ho an’ ny zanany madinika.
15 But I shall appear in righteousness before your face: I shall be satisfied when your glory appears.
Fa izaho kosa, dia aoka hahita ny tavanao amin’ ny fahamarinana; aoka ny endrikao no hahafa-po ahy, raha mifoha.
