< Psalms 142 >

1 [A Psalm] of instruction for David, when he was in the cave, —a Prayer. I cried to the Lord with my voice; with my voice I made supplication to the Lord.
David kah Hlohlai, lungko khuila a om vaengkah Thangthuinah BOEIPA taengla ka ol neh ka pang tih BOEIPA taengah ka ol neh n'rhen lah ka ti.
2 I will pour out before him my supplication: I will declare before him mine affliction.
A mikhmuh ah ka kohuetnah ka kingling tih ka citcai khaw a mikhmuh ah ka phoe.
3 When my spirit was fainting within me, then you knew my paths; in the very way wherein I was walking, they hid a snare for me.
Ka khuikah ka mueihla rhae tih ka pongpa nah caehlong ah kai ham pael tung cakhaw ka hawn he na ming.
4 I looked on [my] right hand, and behold, for there was none that noticed me; refuge failed me; and there was none that cared for my soul.
Bantang la paelki lamtah Kai ham ka hmat hlang om pawh tila hmu van lah. Kai ham tah thuhaelnah khaw bing coeng tih ka hinglu aka toem khaw om pawh.
5 I cried to you, O Lord, and said, You are my hope, my portion in the land of the living.
BOEIPA taengah ah ka pang tih, “Namah he mulhing khohmuen ah ka hlipyingnah neh ka khoyo coeng,” ni ka ti.
6 Attend to my supplication, for I am brought very low; deliver me from them that persecute me; for they are stronger than I.
Mat ka tlayae coeng dongah ka tamlung taengla hnatung lah. Kai lakah aka tlung tih kai aka hloem rhoek taeng lamloh kai n'huul lah.
7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name, O Lord; the righteous shall wait for me, until you recompense me.
Kai hinglu he rhomhmop lamloh coe sak lamtah na ming te uem saeh. Kai he nan thuung ham coeng dongah aka dueng rhoek tah kamah taengah a bulbo uh ni.
