Psalms 141
1 A Psalm of David. O Lord, I have cried to you; hear me: attend to the voice of my supplication, when I cry to you.
Senhor, a ti clamo, escuta-me; inclina os teus ouvidos à minha voz, quando a ti clamar.
2 Let my prayer be set forth before you as incense; the lifting up of my hands [as] an evening sacrifice.
Suba a minha oração perante a tua face como incenso, e as minhas mãos levantadas sejam como o sacrifício da tarde.
3 Set a watch, O Lord, on my mouth, and a strong door about by lips.
Põe, ó Senhor, uma guarda à minha boca: guarda a porta dos meus lábios.
4 Incline not my heart to evil things, to employ pretexts for sins, with me who work iniquity: and I will not. let me not unite with their choice ones.
Não inclines o meu coração a coisas más, a praticar obras más, com aqueles que obram a iniquidade; e não coma das suas delícias.
5 The righteous shall chasten me with mercy, and reprove me: but let not the oil of the sinner anoint my head: for yet shall my prayer also be in their pleasures.
Fira-me o justo, será uma benignidade; e repreenda-me, será um excelente óleo, que me não quebrará a cabeça; porque orarei nas suas próprias calamidades.
6 Their mighty ones have been swallowed up near the rock: they shall hear my words, for they are sweet.
Quando os seus juízes forem derribados pelos lados da rocha, ouvirão as minhas palavras, pois são agradáveis.
7 As a lump of earth is crushed upon the ground, our bones have been scattered by the [mouth of] the grave. (Sheol h7585)
Os nossos ossos são espalhados à boca da sepultura como se alguém fendera e partira lenha em terra. (Sheol h7585)
8 For mine eyes are to you, O Lord God: I have hoped in you; take not away my life.
Mas os meus olhos te contemplam, o Deus, Senhor: em ti confio; não desnudes a minha alma.
9 Keep me from the snare which they have set for me, and from the stumbling blocks of them that work iniquity.
Guarda-me dos laços que me armaram; e dos laços corrediços dos que obram a iniquidade.
10 Sinners shall fall by their own net: I am alone until I shall escape.
Caiam os ímpios nas suas próprias redes, até que eu tenha escapado inteiramente.
