< Psalms 141 >
1 A Psalm of David. O Lord, I have cried to you; hear me: attend to the voice of my supplication, when I cry to you.
Zabbuli Ya Dawudi. Ayi Mukama nkukaabira; oyanguwe okujja gye ndi! Owulire eddoboozi lyange, nga nkukoowoola.
2 Let my prayer be set forth before you as incense; the lifting up of my hands [as] an evening sacrifice.
Okusaba kwange kubeere ng’ebyakaloosa mu maaso go, n’okugolola emikono gyange gy’oli kubeere nga ssaddaaka ey’akawungeezi.
3 Set a watch, O Lord, on my mouth, and a strong door about by lips.
Onkuume, Ayi Mukama, nneme okwasamya akamwa kange, era bwe njogera onkomeko.
4 Incline not my heart to evil things, to employ pretexts for sins, with me who work iniquity: and I will not. let me not unite with their choice ones.
Okyuse omutima gwange guleme kugoberera kibi, n’okwemalira mu bikolwa ebibi; nneme okwetaba n’abantu abakola ebitali bya butuukirivu, wadde okulya ku mmere yaabwe.
5 The righteous shall chasten me with mercy, and reprove me: but let not the oil of the sinner anoint my head: for yet shall my prayer also be in their pleasures.
Leka omuntu omutuukirivu ankube, kubanga anaaba ankwatiddwa ekisa; muleke annenye, ekyo kinaaba ng’amafuta amalungi agafukiddwa ku mutwe gwange; sijja kugagaana. Naye nnaasabanga bulijjo nga sikkiriziganya na babi wadde n’ebikolwa byabwe.
6 Their mighty ones have been swallowed up near the rock: they shall hear my words, for they are sweet.
Abakola ebibi bwe baliweebwayo eri ab’okubasalira omusango, olwo ne balyoka bayiga nti ebigambo byange bya mazima.
7 As a lump of earth is crushed upon the ground, our bones have been scattered by the [mouth of] the grave. (Sheol )
Balyogera nti, “Ng’omuntu bw’akabala n’akuba amavuunike, n’amagumba gaffe bwe galisaasaanyizibwa bwe gatyo mu kamwa k’emagombe.” (Sheol )
8 For mine eyes are to you, O Lord God: I have hoped in you; take not away my life.
Naye nze amaaso ngatadde ku ggwe, Ayi Mukama Katonda; mu ggwe mwe neekwese, tondeka nga sirina anambeera!
9 Keep me from the snare which they have set for me, and from the stumbling blocks of them that work iniquity.
Nkuuma omponye omutego gwe banteze, n’ebitimba by’abo abakola ebitali bya butuukirivu.
10 Sinners shall fall by their own net: I am alone until I shall escape.
Ebitimba bye banteze abakola ebibi abo bonna, baleke babigwemu, kyokka nze mpone.
