< Psalms 141 >
1 A Psalm of David. O Lord, I have cried to you; hear me: attend to the voice of my supplication, when I cry to you.
Thaburi ya Daudi Wee Jehova, nĩwe ndĩrakaĩra; hiũha ũũke kũrĩ niĩ. Igua mũgambo wakwa ngĩgũkaĩra.
2 Let my prayer be set forth before you as incense; the lifting up of my hands [as] an evening sacrifice.
Ihooya rĩakwa rĩroambata mbere yaku ta mũtararĩko wa ũbumba; nakuo kwambararia moko makwa kũrotuĩka ta igongona rĩa hwaĩ-inĩ.
3 Set a watch, O Lord, on my mouth, and a strong door about by lips.
Wee Jehova, iga mũrangĩri kanua-inĩ gakwa, rangagĩra mũrango ũyũ wa mĩromo yakwa.
4 Incline not my heart to evil things, to employ pretexts for sins, with me who work iniquity: and I will not. let me not unite with their choice ones.
Ndũkareke ngoro yakwa ĩguucĩrĩrio ũndũ-inĩ mũũru, ndigatuĩke wa gwĩka ciĩko cia waganu hamwe na andũ arĩa amaramari; Ndũkareke ndĩe irio ciao iria irĩ mũrĩo.
5 The righteous shall chasten me with mercy, and reprove me: but let not the oil of the sinner anoint my head: for yet shall my prayer also be in their pleasures.
Mũndũ mũthingu nĩakĩĩninge: ũndũ ũcio nĩ wa kũnyonia ũtugi; kũndũithia nĩakĩndũithie: ũguo no ta kũnjitĩrĩria maguta mũtwe wakwa. Mũtwe wakwa ndũngĩrega gũitĩrĩrio maguta macio. No rĩrĩ, ihooya rĩakwa nĩ rĩa gũtũũra ndeganĩte na ciĩko cia andũ arĩa meekaga ũũru;
6 Their mighty ones have been swallowed up near the rock: they shall hear my words, for they are sweet.

7 As a lump of earth is crushed upon the ground, our bones have been scattered by the [mouth of] the grave. (Sheol )
Nĩmakoiga atĩrĩ, “O ta ũrĩa mũndũ acimbaga mũgũnda na akahũũra hianyũ, no taguo mahĩndĩ maitũ maharaganĩtio mũromo-inĩ wa mbĩrĩra.” (Sheol )
8 For mine eyes are to you, O Lord God: I have hoped in you; take not away my life.
No rĩrĩ, maitho makwa nĩwe macũthĩrĩirie, Wee Mwathani Jehova; nĩ harĩwe njũragĩra; nĩ ũndũ ũcio ndũkareke ngue.
9 Keep me from the snare which they have set for me, and from the stumbling blocks of them that work iniquity.
Ngitĩra ndikanyiitwo nĩ mĩtego ĩrĩa nyambĩirwo, ũnjehanĩrĩrie na mĩtego ya andũ arĩa mekaga ũũru.
10 Sinners shall fall by their own net: I am alone until I shall escape.
Andũ acio aaganu maroogwa wabu-inĩ wao ene, no niĩ ngĩhĩtũkage itekuona ũgwati.
