Psalms 135
1 Alleluia. Praise you the name of the Lord; praise the Lord, [you his] servants,
Lwanj pou Seyè a! Fè lwanj Seyè a! Nou tout k'ap sèvi Seyè a,
2 who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God.
nou tout ki kanpe lakay li, nan kote ki apa pou Bondye nou an, fè lwanj li!
3 Praise you the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises to his name; for [it is] good.
Fè lwanj Seyè a, paske li gen bon kè! Chante chante pou li, paske li aji byen ak nou.
4 For the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself, [and] Israel for his peculiar treasure.
Se li menm ki te chwazi Jakòb pou moun pa l', se li menm ki te chwazi pèp Izrayèl la pou pèp li.
5 For I know that the Lord is great, and our Lord is above all gods;
Mwen konnen Seyè nou an gen gwo pouvwa. Li gen pouvwa pase tout lòt bondye yo.
6 all that the Lord willed, he did in heaven, and on the earth, in the sea, and in all deeps.
Li fè sa li vle nan syèl ak sou latè, sou lanmè ak nan fon lanmè.
7 Who brings up clouds from the extremity of the earth: he has made lightnings for the rain: he brings winds out of his treasures.
Li fè nwaj yo leve kote syèl la kole ak latè a, li fè zèklè ak lapli, li fè van yo soti kote li sere yo a.
8 Who struck the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.
Se li menm ki te touye tout premye pitit gason ak tout premye pòte mal zannimo nan peyi Lejip.
9 He sent signs and wonders into the midst of you, O Egypt, on Pharao, and on all his servants.
Se li ki te fè anpil mirak ak mèvèy nan peyi Lejip pou pini farawon an ansanm ak tout moun k'ap sèvi l' yo.
10 Who struck many nations, and killed mighty kings;
Li detwi anpil nasyon, li touye wa ki te gen pouvwa:
11 Seon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Basan, and all the kingdoms of Chanaan:
Siyon, wa peyi Amon an, Og, wa peyi Bazan an ansanm ak tout wa nan peyi Kanaran yo.
12 and gave their land [for] an inheritance, an inheritance to Israel his people.
Li pran peyi yo, li bay pèp li a, wi, li bay moun pèp Izrayèl yo peyi moun sa yo pou yo rete.
13 O Lord, your name [endures] for ever, and your memorial to all generations.
Seyè, lèzòm ap toujou konnen ki moun ou ye. Yo p'ap janm bliye ou!
14 For the Lord shall judge his people, and comfort himself concerning his servants.
Seyè a va pran defans pèp li a, l'a gen pitye pou moun k'ap sèvi l' yo.
15 The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the works of men's hands.
Zidòl nasyon yo se bagay ki fèt ak ajan, ak lò. Se moun ki fè yo ak men yo.
16 They have a mouth, but they can’t speak; they have eyes, but they can’t see;
Yo gen bouch, men yo pa ka pale. Yo gen je, men yo pa ka wè.
17 they have ears, but they can’t hear; for there is no breath in their mouth.
Yo gen zòrèy, men yo pa ka tande. Yo pa gen yon ti souf nan bouch yo.
18 Let those who make them be made like to them; and all those who trust in them.
Moun ki fè zidòl yo ansanm ak tout moun ki mete konfyans yo nan yo, se pou yo tounen tankou yo.
19 O house of Israel, bless you the Lord: O house of Aaron, bless you the Lord:
Nou menm, pèp Izrayèl la, fè lwanj Seyè a! Nou menm, prèt Bondye yo, fè lwanj Seyè a!
20 O house of Levi, bless you the Lord: you that fear the Lord, bless the Lord.
Nou menm k'ap sèvi nan tanp li a, fè lwanj Seyè a! Nou tout ki gen krentif pou Seyè a, fè lwanj li!
21 Blessed in Sion be the Lord, who dwells in Jerusalem.
Fè lwanj Seyè a nan peyi Siyon. nan lavil Jerizalèm, kote l' rete a. Lwanj pou Seyè a!
