Psalms 131

1 A Song of Degrees. O Lord, my heart is not exalted, neither have mine eyes been [haughtily] raised: neither have I exercised myself in great [matters], nor in things too wonderful for me.

ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ആരോഹണഗീതം. യഹോവേ, എന്റെ ഹൃദയം ഗർവ്വിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നില്ല; ഞാൻ നിഗളിച്ചുനടക്കുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ ബുദ്ധിക്കെത്താത്ത വങ്കാര്യങ്ങളിലും അത്ഭുതവിഷയങ്ങളിലും ഞാൻ ഇടപെടുന്നതുമില്ല.

2 [I shall have sinned] if I have not been humble, but have exulted my soul: according to [the relation of] a weaned child to his mother, so will you recompense my soul.

ഞാൻ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ താലോലിച്ചു മിണ്ടാതാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ അടുക്കൽ മുലകുടി മാറിയ പൈതൽ എന്നപോലെ എന്റെ പ്രാണൻ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മുലകുടി മാറിയതുപോലെ ആകുന്നു.

3 Let Israel hope in the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.

യിസ്രായേലേ, ഇന്നുമുതൽ എന്നേക്കും യഹോവയിൽ പ്രത്യാശ വെച്ചുകൊൾക.
