Psalms 13

1 For the end, a Psalm of David. How long, O Lord, will you forget me? for ever? how long will you turn away your face from me?

Para o músico chefe. Um Salmo de David. How long, Yahweh? Você vai me esquecer para sempre? Por quanto tempo você vai esconder seu rosto de mim?

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, [having] sorrows in my heart daily? how long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

Por quanto tempo devo me aconselhar em minha alma, tendo tristeza em meu coração todos os dias? Por quanto tempo meu inimigo triunfará sobre mim?

3 Look on me, listen to me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep in death;

Behold, e responde-me, Yahweh, meu Deus. Dêem luz aos meus olhos, para que eu não durma na morte;

4 lest at any time mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him: my persecutors will exult if ever I should be moved.

para que meu inimigo não diga: “Eu prevaleci contra ele”. para que meus adversários não se regozijem quando eu cair.

5 But I have hoped in your mercy; my heart shall exult in your salvation.

Mas eu confio em sua bondade amorosa. Meu coração se regozija com sua salvação.

6 I will sing to the Lord who has dealt bountifully with me, and I will sing psalms to the name of the Lord most high.

Eu vou cantar para Yahweh, porque ele tem sido bom para mim.
