< Psalms 120 >

1 A Song of Degrees. In mine affliction I cried to the Lord, and he listened to me.
Oluyimba nga balinnya amadaala. Nkoowoola Mukama nga ndi mu nnaku, era n’annyanukula.
2 Deliver my soul, O Lord, from unjust lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
Omponye, Ayi Mukama, emimwa egy’obulimba, n’olulimi olw’obukuusa.
3 What should be given to you, and what should be added to you, for [your] crafty tongue?
Onooweebwa ki, era onookolebwa otya, ggwe olulimi olukuusa?
4 Sharpened weapons of the mighty, with coals of the desert.
Onoofumitibwa n’obusaale obwogi obw’omulwanyi omuzira, n’oyokerwa ku manda ag’omuti entaseesa.
5 Woe is me, that my sojourning is prolonged; I have tabernacled amongst the tents of Kedar.
Ndabye ennaku, kubanga mbeera mu Meseki; nsula mu weema za Kedali!
6 My soul has long been a sojourner;
Ndudde nnyo mu bantu abakyawa eddembe.
7 I was peaceful amongst them that hated peace; when I spoke to them, they warred against me without a cause.
Nze njagala mirembe, naye bwe njogera bo baagala ntalo.
