Psalms 118
1 Alleluia. Give thanks to the Lord; for [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
Mida akpe ne Yehowa, elabena eƒe dɔ me nyo, eye eƒe lɔlɔ̃ li ɖaa.
2 Let now the house of Israel say, that [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
Israel negblɔ be; “Eƒe lɔlɔ̃ li ɖaa.”
3 Let now the house of Aaron say, that [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
Aron ƒe aƒe la negblɔ be; “Eƒe lɔlɔ̃ li ɖaa.”
4 Let now all that fear the Lord say, that [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
Ame siwo vɔ̃a Yehowa la negblɔ be, “Eƒe lɔlɔ̃ li ɖaa.”
5 I called on the Lord out of affliction: and he listened to me, [so as to bring me] into a wide place.
Le nye vevesese me, medo ɣli yɔ Yehowa, etɔ nam, eye wòɖe gam.
6 The Lord is my helper; and I will not fear what man shall do to me.
Yehowa li kplim, eya ta nyemavɔ̃ o. Nu ka amegbetɔ awɔm?
7 The Lord is my helper; and I shall see [my desire] upon mine enemies.
Yehowa li kplim, eyae nye nye xɔnametɔ. Makpɔ nye futɔwo ta ɖa le dziɖuɖu me.
8 [It is] better to trust in the Lord than to trust in man.
Enyo be woatsɔ Yehowa awɔ sitsoƒee wu, be woaɖo ŋu ɖe amegbetɔ ŋu.
9 [It is] better to hope in the Lord, than to hope in princes.
Enyo be woatsɔ Yehowa awɔ sitsoƒee wu, be woaɖo ŋu ɖe dumegãwo ŋu.
10 All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I repulsed them.
Dukɔwo katã ɖe to ɖem, gake le Yehowa ƒe ŋkɔ me, metsrɔ̃ wo katã.
11 They completely compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I repulsed them.
Woɖe to ɖem, gake le Yehowa ƒe ŋkɔ me, metsrɔ̃ wo katã.
12 They compassed me about as bees [do] a honeycomb, and they burst into flame as fire amongst thorns: but in the name of the Lord I repulsed them.
Woƒo kɔ ɖe ŋunye abe anyiwo ene, gake wo nu va yi kaba abe ŋuvedzo ene; ɛ̃, Yehowa ƒe ŋkɔ mee metsrɔ̃ wo le.
13 I was thrust, and sorely shaken, that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.
Wotu asim do ɖe megbe, eye medze anyi kloe, gake Yehowa xɔ nam.
14 The Lord is my strength and my song, and is become my salvation.
Yehowae nye nye ŋusẽ kple nye ha, eye wòzu nye xɔname.
15 The voice of exultation and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord has wrought mightily.
Aseyetsotso kple dziɖuɣli le ɖiɖim le ame dzɔdzɔewo ƒe agbadɔ me be, “Yehowa ƒe nuɖusi wɔ nu dzɔatsuwo!
16 The right hand of the Lord has exalted me: the right hand of the Lord has wrought powerfully.
Yehowa ƒe nuɖusi le dzi bobobo! Yehowa ƒe nuɖusi wɔ nu dzɔatsuwo!”
17 I shall not die, but live, and recount the works of the Lord.
Nyemaku o, ke boŋ manɔ agbe, eye maɖe gbeƒã nu siwo Yehowa wɔ.
18 The Lord has chastened me sore: but he has not given me up to death.
Yehowa he to nam vevie, gake metsɔm de asi na ku o.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and give praise to the Lord.
Miʋu dzɔdzɔenyenye ƒe agbowo nam, mage ɖe eme, eye mada akpe na Yehowa.
20 This is the gate of the Lord: the righteous shall enter by it.
Esiae nye Yehowa ƒe agbo, afi si dzɔdzɔetɔwo ato age ɖe eme.
21 I will give thanks to you; because you have heard me, and are become my salvation.
Mada akpe na wò, elabena èɖo tom, eye nèzu nye xɔname.
22 The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner.
Kpe si xɔtulawo gbe la, eyae va zu dzogoedzikpe.
23 This has been done of the Lord; and it is wonderful in our eyes.
Yehowae wɔ esia, eye wònye nukunu le míaƒe ŋkume.
24 This is the day which the Lord has made: let us exult and rejoice in it.
Esia nye ŋkeke si Yehowa wɔ, mina míakpɔ dzidzɔ, atso aseye le eme.
25 O Lord, save now: O Lord, send now prosperity.
O! Yehowa, ɖe mí, o Yehowa, na wòadze edzi na mí dzro.
26 Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.
Woayra ame si gbɔna le Yehowa ƒe ŋkɔ me. Míeyra wò tso Yehowa ƒe aƒe me.
27 God is the Lord, and he has shined upon us: celebrate the feast with thick [branches, binding the victims] even to the horns of the altar.
Yehowae nye Mawu, eye wòna eƒe kekeli klẽ ɖe mía dzi. Mitsɔ miaƒe atilɔwo ɖe asi ne miage ɖe ŋkekenyuiɖulawo ƒe hame ayi ɖe keke vɔsamlekpui la ƒe dzowo gbɔ.
28 You are my God, and I will give you thanks: you are my God, and I will exalt you. I will give thanks to you, for you have heard me, and are become my salvation.
Wòe nye nye Mawu, eya ta mada akpe na wò; wòe nye nye Mawu, eya ta mado wò ɖe dzi.
29 Give thanks to the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
