< Psalms 115 >

1 Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, because of your mercy and your truth;
Bukan kami, ya TUHAN, bukan kami, tapi Engkau saja harus dipuji, sebab Engkau setia dan tetap mengasihi.
2 lest at any time the nations should say, Where is their God?
Mengapa bangsa-bangsa harus berkata, "Di mana Allah mereka?"
3 But our God has done in heaven and on earth, whatever he has pleased.
Allah kita ada di surga, Ia melakukan apa yang dikehendaki-Nya.
4 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the works of men's hands.
Berhala mereka dari emas dan perak, buatan tangan manusia.
5 They have a mouth, but they can’t speak; they have eyes, but they can’t see:
Mereka mempunyai mulut, tetapi tak dapat berbicara, mempunyai mata, tetapi tak dapat melihat.
6 they have ears, but they can’t hear; they have noses, but they can’t smell;
Mereka mempunyai telinga, tetapi tak dapat mendengar, mempunyai hidung, tetapi tak dapat mencium.
7 they have hands, but they can’t handle; they have feet, but they can’t walk: they can’t speak through their throat.
Mereka mempunyai tangan, tetapi tak dapat meraba, mempunyai kaki, tetapi tak dapat berjalan, dan tak ada suara yang keluar dari kerongkongannya.
8 Let those that make them become like to them, and all who trust in them.
Semoga begitulah nasib orang-orang yang membuatnya, dan semua orang yang percaya kepadanya.
9 The house of Israel trusts in the Lord: he is their helper and defender.
Hai Israel, berharaplah kepada TUHAN, Dialah yang menolong dan melindungi kamu.
10 The house of Aaron trusts in the Lord: he is their helper and defender.
Hai para imam, berharaplah kepada TUHAN, Dialah yang menolong dan melindungi kamu.
11 They that fear the Lord trust in the Lord: he is their helper and defender.
Hai semua orang takwa, berharaplah kepada TUHAN, Dialah yang menolong dan melindungi kamu.
12 The Lord has remembered us, and blessed us: he has blessed the house of Israel, he has blessed the house of Aaron.
TUHAN ingat kepada kita dan akan memberkati kita, Ia akan memberkati umat Israel dan semua imam keturunan Harun.
13 He has blessed them that fear the Lord, both small and great.
Ia akan memberkati orang-orang yang takwa, baik kecil maupun besar.
14 The Lord add [blessings] to you and to your children.
Semoga TUHAN menganugerahkan banyak anak, kepada kamu dan keturunanmu.
15 Blessed are you of the Lord, who made the heaven and the earth.
Semoga kamu diberkati TUHAN, pencipta langit dan bumi!
16 The heaven of heavens [belongs] to the Lord: but he has given the earth to the sons of men.
Langit adalah milik TUHAN saja, tetapi bumi diberikan-Nya kepada manusia.
17 The dead shall not praise you, O Lord, nor any that go down to Hades.
TUHAN tidak dipuji oleh orang mati, oleh orang yang sudah turun ke tempat yang sunyi.
18 But we, the living, will bless the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.
Tetapi kita yang hidup bersyukur kepada-Nya, sekarang dan sampai selama-lamanya. Pujilah TUHAN!
