< Psalms 113 >
1 Alleluia. Praise the Lord, you servants [of his], praise, the name of the Lord.
Alleluya. Children, preise ye the Lord; preise ye the name of the Lord.
2 Let the name of the Lord be blessed, from this present time and for ever.
The name of the Lord be blessid; fro this tyme now and til in to the world.
3 From the rising of the sun to his setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised.
Fro the risyng of the sunne til to the goyng doun; the name of the Lord is worthi to be preisid.
4 The Lord is high above all the nations; his glory is above the heavens.
The Lord is hiy aboue alle folkis; and his glorie is aboue heuenes.
5 Who is as the Lord our God? who dwells in the high places,
Who is as oure Lord God, that dwellith in hiye thingis;
6 and [yet] looks upon the low things in heaven, and on the earth:
and biholdith meke thingis in heuene and in erthe?
7 who lifts up the poor from the earth, and raises up the needy from the dunghill;
Reisynge a nedi man fro the erthe; and enhaunsinge a pore man fro drit.
8 to set him with princes, [even] with the princes of his people:
That he sette hym with princes; with the princes of his puple.
9 who settles the barren [woman] in a house, [as] a mother rejoicing over children.
Which makith a bareyn womman dwelle in the hous; a glad modir of sones.
