< Psalms 11 >
1 For the end, a Psalm of David. In the Lord I have put my trust: how will you say to my soul, Flee to the mountains as a sparrow?
Kwa mwimbishaji. Zaburi ya Daudi. Kwa Bwana ninakimbilia, unawezaje basi kuniambia: “Ruka kama ndege kwenye mlima wako.
2 For behold the sinners have bent their [bow], they have prepared their arrows for the quiver, to shoot For privily at the upright in heart.
Hebu tazama, waovu wanapinda pinde zao, huweka mishale kwenye uzi wake, wakiwa gizani ili kuwapiga wale wanyofu wa moyo.
3 For they have pulled down what you did frame, but what has the righteous done?
Wakati misingi imeharibiwa, mwenye haki anaweza kufanya nini?”
4 The Lord is in his holy temple, as for the Lord, his throne is in heaven: his eyes look upon the poor, his eyelids try the sons of men.
Bwana yuko ndani ya Hekalu lake takatifu; Bwana yuko kwenye kiti chake cha enzi mbinguni. Huwaangalia wana wa watu, macho yake yanawajaribu.
5 The Lord tries the righteous and the ungodly: and he that loves unrighteousness hates his own soul.
Bwana huwajaribu wenye haki, lakini waovu na wanaopenda jeuri, nafsi yake huwachukia.
6 He shall rain upon sinners snares, fire, and brimstone, and a stormy blast [shall be] the portion of their cup.
Atawanyeshea waovu makaa ya moto mkali na kiberiti kinachowaka, upepo wenye joto kali ndio fungu lao.
7 For the Lord [is] righteous, and loves righteousness; his face beholds uprightness.
Kwa kuwa Bwana ni mwenye haki, yeye hupenda haki. Wanyofu watauona uso wake.
