< Psalms 107 >

1 Alleluia. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy [endures] for ever.
Mwebaze Mukama, kubanga mulungi; okwagala kwe kubeerera emirembe gyonna.
2 Let them say [so] who have been redeemed by the Lord, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
Kale abanunule ba Mukama boogere bwe batyo; abo be yanunula mu mikono gy’abalabe;
3 and gathered them out of the countries, from the east, and west, and north, and south.
abo be yakuŋŋaanya mu mawanga; okuva Ebugwanjuba n’Ebuvanjuba, n’okuva obukiikakkono ne mu bukiikaddyo.
4 They wandered in the wilderness in a dry land; they found no way to a city of habitation.
Abamu baataataaganira mu malungu nga babuliddwa ekkubo eribatwala ku kibuga gye banaabeeranga.
5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
Baalumwa ennyonta n’enjala, obulamu bwabwe ne butandika okusereba.
6 Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
Bwe batyo ne bakaabira Mukama nga bali mu kabi; n’abawonya mu kweraliikirira kwabwe.
7 And he guided them into a straight path, that they might go to a city of habitation.
Yabakulembera butereevu n’abatuusa mu kibuga mwe baabeera.
8 Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonderful works to the children of men.
Kale singa beebazanga Mukama olw’okwagala kwe okutaggwaawo, n’olw’eby’ekitalo by’akolera abaana b’abantu!
9 For he satisfies the empty soul, and fills the hungry [soul] with good things,
Kubanga abalina ennyonta abanywesa, n’abayala abakkusa ebirungi.
10 [even] them that sit in darkness and the shadow of death, fettered in poverty and iron;
Abamu baatuulanga mu kizikiza ne mu kisiikirize eky’okufa; abasibiddwa mu byuma era abali mu nnaku ennyingi;
11 because they rebelled against the words of God, and provoked the counsel of the Most High.
kubanga baajeemera ekigambo kya Katonda, ne banyoomoola amagezi g’oyo Ali Waggulu Ennyo.
12 So their heart was brought low with troubles; they were weak, and there was no helper.
Baakozesebwa emirimu egy’amaanyi, emitima gyabwe ne gijjula obuyinike; baagwanga wansi, naye nga tebalina abasitulawo.
13 Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and he saved them out of their distresses.
Bwe batyo ne bakaabirira Mukama nga bali mu bizibu byabwe, era n’abawonya;
14 And he brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bonds asunder.
n’abaggya mu kizikiza ne mu kisiikirize eky’okufa; n’enjegere ezaali zibasibye n’azikutula.
15 Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonders to the children of men.
Kale singa beebazanga Mukama olw’okwagala kwe okutaggwaawo, n’olwebikolwa bye eby’ekitalo by’akolera abaana b’abantu!
16 For he broke to pieces the brazen gates, and crushed the iron bars.
Kubanga enzigi ez’ebikomo azaasaayasa, n’emitayimbwa egy’ekyuma agimenyamu.
17 He helped them out of the way of their iniquity; for they were brought low because of their iniquities.
Abamu baafuuka basirusiru olw’obujeemu bwabwe; ne babonaabona olw’ebikolwa byabwe ebibi.
18 Their soul abhorred all meat; and they drew near to the gates of death.
Ne batamwa emmere yonna, ne babulako katono ddala okufa.
19 Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction, and he saved them out of their distresses.
Bwe batyo ne bakaabirira Mukama nga bali mu buzibu obwo, n’abawonya.
20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them out of their destructions.
Yabatumira ekigambo kye, n’awonya endwadde zaabwe; n’abalokola mu kuzikirira.
21 Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonderful works to the children of men.
Kale singa beebazanga Mukama olw’okwagala kwe okutaggwaawo, n’olw’ebikolwa bye eby’ekyewuunyo by’akolera abaana b’abantu!
22 And let them offer to him the sacrifice of praise, and proclaim this works with exultation.
Bamuleeterenga ebiweebwayo eby’okwebaza, era batendenga ebikolwa bye n’ennyimba ez’essanyu.
23 They that go down to the sea in ships, doing business in many waters;
Abalala baasaabalira mu maato ku nnyanja; baali basuubuzi b’oku gayanja aganene.
24 these [men] have seen the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.
Baalaba Mukama bye yakola, ebikolwa bye eby’ekitalo mu buziba bw’ennyanja.
25 He speaks, and the stormy wind arises, and its waves are lifted up.
Kubanga yalagira omuyaga ne gusitula amayengo waggulu.
26 They go up to the heavens, and go down to the depths; their soul melts because of troubles.
Ne gagulumira okutuuka ku ggulu, ate ne gakka wansi mu ddubi; akabenje ne kabayitirira, ne baggwaamu amaanyi.
27 They are troubled, they stagger as a drunkard, and all their wisdom is swallowed up.
Ne beesunda, eruuyi n’eruuyi ne baba ng’omutamiivu atagala; n’amagezi ne gabaggwaako.
28 Then they cry to the Lord in their affliction, and he brings them out of their distresses.
Bwe batyo ne bakaabira Mukama nga bali mu buzibu; n’abawonya mu kweraliikirira kwabwe.
29 And he commands the storm, and it is calmed into a gentle breeze, and its waves are still.
Omuyaga yagusirisa, ennyanja n’etteeka.
30 And they are glad, because they are quiet; and he guides them to their desire haven.
Ne bajjula essanyu kubanga ennyanja yateeka; n’abakulembera n’abatuusa bulungi ku mwalo gwabwe.
31 Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies, and his wonderful works to the children of men.
Kale singa abantu beebazanga Mukama olw’okwagala kwe okutaggwaawo, n’olw’ebikolwa bye eby’ekyewuunyo by’akolera abaana b’abantu!
32 Let them exalt him in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the seat of the elders.
Bamugulumizenga ng’abantu bakuŋŋaanye, era bamutenderezenga mu lukiiko lw’abakulu.
33 He turns rivers into a desert, and streams of water into a dry land;
Afuula emigga amalungu, n’emikutu gy’amazzi ne giba ng’ettaka ekkalu,
34 a fruitful land into saltness, for the wickedness of them that dwell in it.
ensi engimu n’agifuula olukoola olw’olunnyo olw’obwonoonyi bw’abantu baamu.
35 He turns a wilderness into pools of water, and a dry land into streams of water.
Eddungu yalijjuza ebidiba by’amazzi, n’ensi enkalu n’agikulukusizaamu amazzi,
36 And there he causes the hungry to dwell, and they establish for themselves cities of habitation.
abalina enjala n’abateeka omwo, ne beezimbira ekibuga eky’okubeeramu,
37 And they sow fields, and plant vineyards, and they yield fruit of increase.
ennimiro zaabwe ne bazisigamu emmere, ne basimba emizabbibu, ne bakungula ebibala bingi.
38 And he blesses them, and they multiply exceedingly, and he diminishes not the number of their cattle.
Yabawa omukisa gwe, ne beeyongera obungi; n’ebisibo byabwe n’atabiganya kukendeera.
39 Again they become few, and are brought low, by the pressure of evils and pain.
Ate ne bakendeera obungi, ne bakkakkanyizibwa olw’okujeezebwa, n’okujoogebwa n’okulaba ennaku;
40 Contempt is poured upon their princes, and he causes them to wander in a desert and trackless land.
oyo anyooma n’abakungu, n’ababungeetanyiza mu lukoola omutali kantu.
41 But he helps the poor out of poverty, and makes [him] families as a flock.
Naye abaali mu kwetaaga yabamalako ennaku n’okubonaabona, n’ayaza ezzadde lyabwe ng’ebisibo.
42 The upright shall see and rejoice; and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
Abagolokofu, bino babiraba ne basanyuka; naye abakola ebibi bo basirika busirisi.
43 Who is wise, and will observe these things, and understand the mercies of the Lord?
Abalina amagezi bonna, bagondere ebigambo bino era bategeere okwagala kwa Mukama okutaggwaawo.
