Psalms 104

1 [A Psalm] of David. Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, you are very great; you have clothed yourself with praise and honour:

۱ ای جان من، خداوند را متبارک بخوان! ای یهوه خدای من توبی نهایت عظیم هستی! به عزت و جلال ملبس هستی.

2 who do robe yourself with light as with a garment; spreading out the heaven as a curtain.

۲ خویشتن را به نور مثل ردا پوشانیده‌ای.

3 Who covers his chambers with waters; who makes the clouds his chariot; who walks on the wings of the wind.

۳ آن که غرفات خود را بر آبها بنا کرده است و ابرها رامرکب خود نموده و بر بالهای باد می‌خرامد.

4 Who makes his angels spirits, and his ministers a flaming fire.

۴ فرشتگان خود را بادها می‌گرداند و خادمان خود را آتش مشتعل.

5 Who establishes the earth on her sure foundation: it shall not be moved for ever.

۵ که زمین را بر اساسش استوار کرده، تا جنبش نخورد تا ابدالاباد.

6 The deep, as it were a garment, is his covering: the waters shall stand on the hills.

۶ آن رابه لجه‌ها مثل ردا پوشانیده‌ای، که آبها بر کوههاایستاده‌اند.

7 At your rebuke they shall flee; at the voice of your thunder they shall be alarmed.

۷ از عتاب تو می‌گریزند. از آواز رعدتو پراکنده می‌شوند.

8 They go up to the mountains, and down to the plains, to the place which you have founded for them.

۸ به فراز کوهها برمی آیند، وبه همواریها فرود می‌آیند، به مکانی که برای آنهامهیا ساخته‌ای.

9 You have set a bound which they shall not pass, neither shall they turn again to cover the earth.

۹ حدی برای آنها قرار داده‌ای که از آن نگذرند و برنگردند تا زمین را بپوشانند.

10 He sends forth his fountains amongst the valleys: the waters shall run between the mountains.

۱۰ که چشمه‌ها را در وادیها جاری می‌سازد تا درمیان کوهها روان بشوند.

11 They shall give drink to all the wild beasts of the field: the wild asses shall take [of them] to [quench] their thirst.

۱۱ تمام حیوانات صحرارا سیراب می‌سازند تا گورخران تشنگی خود رافرو نشانند.

12 By them shall the birds of the sky lodge: they shall utter a voice out of the midst of the rocks.

۱۲ بر آنها مرغان هوا ساکن می‌شوند واز میان شاخه‌ها آواز خود را می‌دهند.

13 He waters the mountains from his chambers: the earth shall be satisfied with the fruit of your works.

۱۳ او ازغرفات خود کوهها را سیراب می‌کند و از ثمرات اعمال تو زمین سیر می‌شود.

14 He makes grass to grow for the cattle, and green herb for the service of men, to bring bread out of the earth;

۱۴ نباتات را برای بهایم می‌رویاند و سبزه‌ها رابرای خدمت انسان، و نان را از زمین بیرون می‌آورد.

15 and wine makes glad the heart of man, to make his face cheerful with oil: and bread strengthens man's heart.

۱۵ و شراب را که دل انسان را شادمان می‌کند، و چهره او را به روغن شاداب می‌سازد ودل انسان را به نان قوی می‌گرداند.

16 The trees of the plain shall be full [of sap]; [even] the cedars of Libanus which he has planted.

۱۶ درختان خداوند شادابند، یعنی سروهای آزاد لبنان که غرس کرده است،

17 There the sparrows will build their nests; and the house of the heron takes the lead amongst them.

۱۷ که در آنها مرغان آشیانهای خود را می‌گیرند و اما صنوبر خانه لق لق می‌باشد.

18 The high mountains are a refuge for the stags, [and] the rock for the rabbits.

۱۸ کوههای بلند برای بزهای کوهی و صخره هابرای یربوع ملجاء است.

19 He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knows his going down.

۱۹ ماه را برای موسمهاساخت و آفتاب مغرب خود را می‌داند.

20 You did make darkness, and it was night; in it all the wild beasts of the forest will be abroad:

۲۰ تاریکی می‌سازی و شب می‌شود که در آن همه حیوانات جنگلی راه می‌روند.

21 [even] young lions roaring for prey, and to seek meat for themselves from God.

۲۱ شیربچگان برای شکار خود غرش می‌کنند و خوراک خویش را از خدا می‌جویند.

22 The sun arises, and they shall be gathered together, and shall lie down in their dens.

۲۲ چون آفتاب طلوع می‌کند جمع می‌شوند و در بیشه های خودمی خوابند.

23 Man shall go forth to his work, and to his labour till evening.

۲۳ انسان برای عمل خود بیرون می‌آید و به جهت شغل خویش تا شامگاه.

24 How great are your works, O Lord! in wisdom have you wrought them all: the earth is filled with your creation.

۲۴ ‌ای خداوند اعمال تو چه بسیار است. جمیع آنها را به حکمت کرده‌ای. زمین از دولت تو پر است.

25 [So is] this great and wide sea: there are things creeping innumerable, small animals and great.

۲۵ و آن دریای بزرگ و وسیع الاطراف نیز که در آن حشرات از حد شماره زیاده‌اند و حیوانات خرد و بزرگ.

26 There go the ships; [and] this dragon whom you have made to play in it.

۲۶ و در آن کشتیها راه می‌روند و آن لویاتان که به جهت بازی کردن در آن آفریده‌ای.

27 All wait upon you, to give them [their] food in due season.

۲۷ جمیع اینها از تو انتظارمی کشند تا خوراک آنها را در وقتش برسانی.

28 When you have given [it] them, they will gather [it]; and when you have opened your hand, they shall all be filled with good.

۲۸ آنچه را که به آنها می‌دهی، فرا می‌گیرند. دست خود را باز می‌کنی، پس از چیزهای نیکو سیرمی شوند.

29 But when you have turned away your face, they shall be troubled: you will take away their breath, and they shall fail, and return to their dust.

۲۹ روی خود را می‌پوشانی پس مضطرب می‌گردند. روح آنها را قبض می‌کنی، پس می‌میرند و به خاک خود برمی گردند.

30 You shall send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created; and you shall renew the face of the earth.

۳۰ چون روح خود را می‌فرستی، آفریده می‌شوند و روی زمین را تازه می‌گردانی.

31 Let the glory of the Lord be for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works;

۳۱ جلال خداوند تا ابدالاباد است. خداوند ازاعمال خود راضی خواهد بود.

32 who looks upon the earth, and makes it tremble; who touches the mountains, and they smoke.

۳۲ که به زمین نگاه می‌کند و آن می‌لرزد. کوهها را لمس می‌کند، پس آتش فشان می‌شوند.

33 I will sing to the Lord while I live; I will sing praise to my God while I exist.

۳۳ خداوند را خواهم سرایید تا زنده می‌باشم. برای خدای خود تسبیح خواهم خواند تا وجود دارم.

34 Let my meditation be sweet to him: and I will rejoice in the Lord.

۳۴ تفکر من او رالذیذ بشود و من در خداوند شادمان خواهم بود.

35 Let the sinners fail from off the earth, and transgressors, so that they shall be no more. Bless the Lord, O my soul.

۳۵ گناهکاران از زمین نابود گردند و شریران دیگر یافت نشوند. ای جان من، خداوند را متبارک بخوان! هللویاه!
