Proverbs 8
1 You shall proclaim wisdom, that understanding may be obedient to you.
Tsy miantso va ny fahendrena, Ary tsy manandra-peo va ny fahalalana?
2 For she is on lofty eminences, and stands in the midst of the ways.
Eo an-tampon’ ny fitoerana avo amoron-dalana Sy eo an-tsampanan-dalana no ijoroany.
3 For she sits by the gates of princes, and sings in the entrances, [saying],
Eo anilan’ ny vavahady, amin’ ny fidirana ho ao an-tanàna, Sy eo anaty vavahady no iantsoany maty hoe:
4 You, O men, I exhort; and utter my voice to the sons of men.
Hianareo no antsoiko, ry olona; Ary ny feoko ho amin’ ny zanak’ olombelona.
5 O you simple, understand subtlety, and you that are untaught, imbibe knowledge.
Fantaro ny fahendrena, ry kely saina; Ary fantaro ny fahalalana, ry adala.
6 Listen to me; for I will speak solemn [truths]; and will produce right [sayings] from my lips.
Henoy, fa hilaza zava-tsoa aho; Ary ny hilaza ny mahitsy no isokafan’ ny molotro.
7 For my throat shall meditate truth; and false lips are an abomination before me.
Fa ny marina ihany no holazain’ ny vavako; Ary ny ratsy dia fahavetavetana, raha amin’ ny molotro.
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing in them wrong or perverse.
Marina ny teny rehetra aloaky ny vavako; Tsy misy fiolakolahana na fitaka ao aminy.
9 They are all evident to those that understand, and right to those that find knowledge.
Miharihary avokoa izy, raha amin’ ny mazava saina, Ary mahitsy, raha amin’ ny efa nahazo fahalalana.
10 Receive instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than tried gold.
Aza ny volafotsy no raisina, fa ny anatro, Ary aleo ny fahalalana toy izay ny volamena voafantina.
11 For wisdom is better than precious stones; and no valuable substance is of equal worth with it.
Fa ny fahendrena dia tsara noho ny voahangy; Ary ny zavatra irina rehetra tsy azo ampitahaina aminy.
12 I wisdom have lived [with] counsel and knowledge, and I have called upon understanding.
Izaho fahendrena dia miara-monina amin-tsaina, Ary hitan’ ny fahalalako ny fisainana mazava.
13 The fear of the Lord hates unrighteousness, and insolence, and pride, and the ways of wicked men; and I hate the perverse ways of bad men.
Ny fankahalana ny ratsy no fahatahorana an’ i Jehovah. Ny fiavonavonana sy ny fireharehana sy ny lalana ratsy Ary ny vava fandainga dia samy halako avokoa.
14 Counsel and safety are mine; prudence is mine, and strength is mine.
Ahy ny fisainana sy ny fanambinana; Izaho no fahalalana, izaho no manan-kery;
15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
Izaho no anjakan’ ny mpanjaka Sy andidian’ ny mpanapaka araka ny rariny;
16 By me nobles become great, and monarchs by me rule over the earth.
Izaho no anapahan’ ny andriandahy sy ny lehibe, Dia ny mpitsara rehetra amin’ ny tany.
17 I love those that love me; and they that seek me shall find [me].
Tiako izay tia ahy; Ary izay fatra-pitady ahy dia hahita ahy.
18 Wealth and glory belong to me; yes, abundant possessions and righteousness.
Ato amiko ny harena sy ny voninahitra, Eny, ny harena mateza sy ny fahamarinana.
19 [It is] better to have my fruit than [to have] gold and precious stones; and my produce is better than choice silver.
Ny vokatro dia tsara noho ny volamena, eny, noho ny tena volamena aza, Ary ny fitomboan’ ny hareko mihoatra noho ny volafotsy voafantina.
20 I walk in ways of righteousness, and [am] conversant with the paths of judgement;
Amin’ ny alehan’ ny fahamarinana no izorako, Dia ao amin’ ny lalan’ ny fitsarana marina,
21 that I may divide substance to them that love me, and may fill their treasures with good things. If I declare to you the things that daily happen, I will remember [also] to recount the things of old.
Mba hampandovako harena izay tia ahy, Sy hamenoako ny firaketany.
22 The Lord made me the beginning of his ways for his works.
Jehovah nahary ahy ho fiandohan’ ny alehany, Ho voalohany amin’ ny asany hatramin’ ny taloha.
23 He established me before time [was] in the beginning, before he made the earth:
Izaho notendreny hatramin’ ny fahagola, Eny, hatramin’ ny voalohany indrindra, dia fony tsy mbola ary ny tany.
24 even before he made the depths; before the fountains of water came forth:
Fony tsy mbola ary ny lalina, no efa teraka aho, Fony tsy mbola ary ny loharano miboiboika be,
25 before the mountains were settled, and before all hills, he begets me.
Fony tsy mbola naorina ny tendrombohitra, Fony tsy mbola nisy havoana, no efa teraka aho,
26 The Lord made countries and uninhabited [tracks], and the highest inhabited parts of the world.
Fony tsy mbola natao ny tany, na ny saha, Na ny voalohan’ ny vovo-tany ambonin’ izao rehetra izao.
27 When he prepared the heaven, I was present with him; and when he prepared his throne upon the winds:
Raha namorona ny lanitra Izy, dia tany aho, Raha namaritra ny hababakaka tambonin’ ny lalina Izy,
28 and when he strengthened the clouds above; and when he secured the fountains of the earth:
Raha nampitoetra ny rahona eny ambony Izy, Raha niboiboika fatratra ny loharanon’ ny lalina,
29 decree. and when he strengthened the foundations of the earth:
Raha nanisy faritra ho an’ ny ranomasina Izy, Mba tsy hahazoan’ ny rano mihoatra ny fetrany, Ary nandidy ny amin’ ny fanorenan’ ny tany,
30 I was by him, suiting [myself to him], I was that wherein he took delight; and daily I rejoiced in his presence continually.
Dia mpità-marika teo anilany aho Sady ravoravo isan’ andro isan’ andro Ka nilalao mandrakariva teo anatrehany;
31 For he rejoiced when he had completed the world, and rejoiced amongst the children of men.
Eny, nahafaly ahy ny tany nataony honenana, Ary naharavoravo ahy ny zanak’ olombelona.
32 Now then, [my] son, hear me: blessed is the man who shall listen to me, and the mortal who shall keep my ways;
Koa mihainoa ahy ianareo, anaka; Fa sambatra izay manaraka ny diako;
33 [Hear wisdom and be wise, and be not strangers to it. ]
Minoa anatra, ka hendre, Fa aza mandà.
34 watching daily at my doors, waiting at the posts of my entrances.
Sambatra izay olona mihaino ahy Ka miari-tory mandrakariva eo am-bavahadiko, Ary miandry eo amin’ ny tolam-baravarako.
35 For my outgoings are the outgoings of life, and [in them] is prepared favour from the Lord.
Fa izay mahita ahy dia mahita fiainana Sady mahazo sitraka amin’ i Jehovah;
36 But they that sin against me act wickedly against their own souls: and they that hate me love death.
Fa izay diso ahy kosa mampidi-doza amin’ ny fanahiny; Ary izay rehetra mankahala ahy tia fahafatesana.
