< Proverbs 7 >

1 [My] son, keep my words, and hide with you my commandments. [My] son, honour the Lord, and you shall be strong; and fear none but him:
Anaka, tandremo ny teniko, Ary raketo ao aminao ny didiko.
2 keep my commandments, and you shall live; and [keep] my words as the pupils of [your] eyes.
Tandremo ny didiko, dia ho velona ianao; Ary tandremo toy ny anakandriamasonao ny lalàko.
3 And bind them on your fingers, and write [them] on the table of your heart.
Afehezo eo amin’ ny rantsan-tananao izy, Soraty ao amin’ ny fonao tahaka ny amin’ ny vato fisaka izy.
4 Say that wisdom is your sister, and gain prudence as an acquaintance for yourself;
Ny fahendrena dia ilazao hoe: Anabaviko ianao; Ary ny fahafantarana dia antsoy hoe: Sakaiza mahazatra ianao;
5 that she may keep you from the strange and wicked woman, if she should assail you with flattering words.
Mba hiarovana anao amin’ ny vehivavy jejo, Dia amin’ ny vahiny janga izay manao teny mandrobo.
6 For she looks from a window out of her house into the streets, at one whom she may see of the senseless ones, a young man void of understanding,
Fa teo amin’ ny varavarankelin’ ny tranoko, Dia teo amin’ ny makarakara, no nitsirihako,
7 passing by the corner in the passages near her house,
Ka nahita anankiray tamin’ ny kely saina aho, Eny, nandinika ny tovolahy aho ka nahita zazalahy anankiray tsy ampy saina,
8 and speaking, in the dark of the evening,
Izay nandeha tamin’ ny lalana akaikin’ ny zoron-tranon’ ny vehivavy janga Sy nizotra nankany an-tranony,
9 when there happens [to be] the stillness of night and of darkness:
Nony takariva ilay somambisamby iny Sy tamin’ ny alina efa maizina dia maizina.
10 and the woman meets him having the appearance of a harlot, that causes the hearts of young men to flutter.
Dia, indro, nisy vehivavy nitsena azy Sady manao fitafin’ ny janga no mifetsy am-po,
11 And she is fickle, and debauched, and her feet abide not at home.
Sady vavàna no maditra, Tsy mahajanona ao an-tranony ny tongony;
12 For at one time she wanders without, and at [another] time she lies in wait in the streets, at every corner.
Fa vetivety mby eny an-dalam-be izy, ary vetivety mby eny an-tsena, Ary mamitsaka eny an-joron-trano rehetra eny izy.
13 Then she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said to him,
Ka dia nisavika ilay tovolahy izy ka nanoroka azy Sady nisolantsolana taminy ka nilaza hoe:
14 I have a peace-offering; today I pay my vows:
Efa nivoady hanatitra fanati-pihavanana aho; Ary androany no nanefako ny voadiko.
15 therefore I came forth to meet you, desiring your face; [and] I have found you.
Koa dia nivoaka hitsena anao aho, Mba hitady fatratra ny tarehinao, ka dia nahita anao tokoa.
16 I have spread my bed with sheets, and I have covered it with double tapestry from Egypt.
Ny fandriako efa nasiako firakotra tsara, Dia lambam-pandriana misoratsoratra voafoly hatrany Egypta.
17 I have sprinkled my couch with saffron, and my house with cinnamon.
Efa norarahako zava-manitra ny fandriako, Dia miora sy hazomanitra ary havozo manitra.
18 Come, and let us enjoy love until the morning; come, and let us embrace in love.
Andeha, aoka isika hivoky fitia ambara-pahamarain’ ny andro, Aoka ho feno fahafinaretana amin’ ny fitiavana isika.
19 For my husband is not at home, but is gone on a long journey,
Fa tsy ao an-trano ny lehilahy, Fa lasa nivahiny lavitra izy;
20 having taken in his hand a bundle of money: after many days he will return to his house.
Ny kitampom-bola dia nentiny any an-tànany, Ka tsy mbola hody izy mandra-pahafenon’ ny volana.
21 So with much converse she prevailed on him to go astray, and with the snares of her lips forced him from [the right path].
Tamin’ ny teny maro no nampanekeny azy, Tamin’ ny fandroboan’ ny molony no nitaomany azy,
22 And he followed her, being gently led on, and [that] as an ox is led to the slaughter, and as a dog to bonds, or as a hart shot in the liver with an arrow:
Ka dia nandeha nanaraka azy niaraka tamin’ izay ilay zatovo, Tahaka ny omby entina hovonoina, Ary tahaka ny adala hogadrana,
23 and he hastens as a bird into a snare, not knowing that he is running for [his] life.
Ambara-piboroaky ny lefom-pohy amin’ ny atiny, Ary tahaka ny vorona mipaoka ny fandrika, Fa tsy fantany hahafaty ny ainy izany.
24 Now then, [my] son, listen to me, and attend to the words of my mouth.
Koa mihainoa ahy ianareo, anaka, Ary tandremo ny teny aloaky ny vavako.
25 Let not your heart turn aside to her ways:
Aoka tsy hivily ho any amin’ ny lalany ny fonareo, Ary aza mania ho amin’ ny alehany.
26 for she has wounded and cast down many, and those whom she has slain are innumerable.
Fa betsaka no naripany ka maty; Ary maro be no efa matiny.
27 Her house is the way of hell, leading down to the chambers of death. (Sheol h7585)
Ny tranony dia lalana mankany amin’ ny fiainan-tsi-hita, Eny, midìna ho any amin’ ny efi-tranon’ ny fahafatesana. (Sheol h7585)
