< Proverbs 25 >
1 These are the miscellaneous instructions of Solomon, which the friends of Ezekias king of Judea copied out.
Ama'i Solomoni knare antahi'zamofo naneke, Juda vahe kini ne' Hezekia eriza vahe'mo'za eri'za krente'naza naneke.
2 The glory of God conceals a matter: but the glory of a king honours business.
Ra Anumzamo'a rama'a zama antahizama'afi erifrakinegu, ra agi nemune. Hagi kinimo'a anama fraki'nea zama hakeno erifore nehigeta, agrira ra agi'a amita husga nehune.
3 Heaven is high, and earth is deep, and a king's heart is unsearchable.
Monamo onagamu me'geno, mopamo'a ufenkamu megeta antahita keta nosunankino, e'inahukna kante kini vahe'mokizmi antahintahizmia tagra antahita keta osugahune.
4 Beat the drossy silver, and it shall be made entirely pure.
Silvama kre'za eri avusese hazageno, knare'ma hige'za anantetira zago'amo mareri zantamina tro nehaze.
5 Slay the ungodly from before the king, and his throne shall prosper in righteousness.
Kefo avu'ava'ma hanaza vahe'ma kini ne'mofo kumapinti'ma zamahenati atresazana, agrama kegavama hu'nea kuma'mo'a, hanavetino fatgo huno megahie.
6 Be not boastful in the presence of the king, and remain not in the places of princes;
Kini ne' avure'ma emanisunka, nagra ra vahe'mani'noe hunka kavufga ra nosunka, zamagine vahe'mokizmi tratera eomanio.
7 for [it is] better for you that it should be said, Come up to me, than that [one] should humble you in the presence of the prince; speak of that which your eyes have seen.
Akoheno mani'nenkeno kema huno avrenagamute zamo knarera hu'neanki, agine vahe'mofo avufima hugantesigenka anama mani'nenana tra'ma atrenka urami zamo'a kagaze hugahianki, antahinka kenka huntenka fatgoza huo.
8 Get not suddenly into a quarrel, lest you repent at last.
Ame hunka naneke hu tratera magomofona avrentenka kehara huonto. Na'ankure tava'onkare'ma mani'naza vahe'mo'za, ana nanekeka'ama eriama hu'za kazeri kagazema hanazana, atuparega na'a kagra hugahane?
9 Whenever your friend shall reproach you, retreat backward, despise [him] not;
Kagrama tava'onkare'ma nemanisimo'enema ke ha'ma nehanunka, mago'mofo oku'a avu'ava'amofo nanekea hu amara osuo.
10 lest your friend continue to reproach you, so your quarrel and enmity shall not depart, but shall be to you like death. Favour and friendship set [a man] free, which do you keep for yourself, lest you be made liable to reproach; but take heed to your ways peaceably.
Henka'ama vahe'mo'za antahisu'za, fraki'za hazankea kagra franokine huge, kazeri kagaze nehu'za mika zupa antahi haviza hugante vava hugahaze.
11 [As] a golden apple in a necklace of sardius, so [is it] to speak a [wise] word.
Hagi vahe'mo'ma knare antahi'zama kna fatgo'are'ma hu'ama'ma hanigeno'a, ana ke'mo'a golire tro hunte'naza epoli zafa ragamo silva zuompafi meankna hu'ne.
12 In an ear-ring of gold a precious sardius is also set; [so is] a wise word to an obedient ear.
Knare antahi'zanteti'ma azeri fatgoma nehanigeno agesa anteno antahisimo'a, golire tro hunte'naza avasaseza agesafi anteankna hu'ne.
13 As a fall of snow in the time of harvest is good against heat, so a faithful messenger [refreshes] those that send him; for he helps the souls of his employers.
Kema erino esia ne'mo'ma, ome huo huno huntesigeno esia kema eme fatgo huno anankema hu ne'mo'a, hozafinti neza hamare knare ata ko'mo rufru hiankna nehigeno, kva'amofo agu'amo'a fru nehie.
14 As winds and clouds and rains are most evident [objects], so is he that boasts of a false gift.
Mago vaheku'ma museza kamigahue huno'ma avufga ra hu kazigati huvempa hunteteno, anazama omisia vahe'mo'a, ko aruku zaho e'nerino hampo ko atuno hanintiri huteno, kora oriankna nehie.
15 In longsuffering is prosperity to kings, and a soft tongue breaks the bones.
Hagi ame hunka krimpama ohe'zamo'a, kva vahera rimpa azerifru hunka, kagrarega avrentegahane. Ante fru hunka hukemo'a, ha' frama hu'zana mika azeri agateregahane.
16 Having found honey, eat [only] what is enough, lest haply you be filled, and vomit it up.
Tume'mofo tima'amo'a haga hu'neanki, nenenunka avamente no, rama'a nesanana amu'atigahane.
17 Enter sparingly into your friend's house, lest he be satiated with your company, and hate you.
Tava'onkare'ma nemanisimofo nontera hakare zupa vuvava osuo, anama hanankeno'a musema huno'ma negavreanknara osugosianki, avesra hugantegahie.
18 [As] a club, and a dagger, and a pointed arrow, so also is a man who bears false witness against his friend.
Tava'onkarema nemanisimofoma havigema huntenka, agenkema hanana zamo'a, kumpa knonu aheankna nehunka, kazinteti avufgama akafriankna nehunka, keve aheankna hugahane.
19 The way of the wicked and the foot of the transgressor shall perish in an evil day.
Kagrama kaza osuga vahe'ma antahinemisankeno havi knama esigeno'a, naza hugahiema hananana, ave'neneno ata negrifi ne'zama neankna nehunka, agamo haviza hu'nea ne'mo revazamu revazamu huno viankna hugahane.
20 As vinegar is bad for a sore, so trouble befalling the body afflicts the heart. As a moth in a garment, and a worm in wood, so the grief of a man hurts the heart.
Vahe'mo'ma asunku zampima mani'nenigenka muse zagamema hananana, ana asunku zampi mani'nea vahe'mofona, zasi knafi nakreku'a zafi atreankna nehunka, aka tinu avufga taga hu'nefi tagi atreankna hugahane.
21 If your enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink;
Ha' vahekamofoma aga'zanku'ma nehanigenka ne'zama nesia zana neminka, tinku'ma avenesinigenka tina amigeno neno.
22 for so doing you shall heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward you [with] good.
E'inahu'ma hanankeno'a, teve tankanuza asenifi hampagenteankna hanankeno, agra'a havi avu'ava zama'agura agaze nehanigeno, Ra Anumzamo'a mizana kamigahie.
23 The north wind raises clouds; so an impudent face provokes the tongue.
Vahe'ma amefiga ke'ma hu kemo'a, noti (north) kazigati zaho'mo ko atufeno eankna huno, ana vahe'mofontera arimpa ahe'za erino esigeno, avugosamo'a zahe hugahie.
24 [It is] better to dwell on a corner of the roof, than with a railing woman in an open house.
Fegi'a anaga nomote kagraku manizamo'a, nogu'afima kehakarema nehia a'enema manizana agaterene.
25 As cold water is agreeable to a thirsting soul, so is a good message from a land far off.
Afete kumateti knare'zamofo agenkema egeno antahizamo'a, tinku avesinere zasi ti amigeno neankna nehie.
26 As if one should stop a well, and corrupt a spring of water, so [is it] unseemly for a righteous man to fall before an ungodly man.
Fatgo ne'mo'ma kefo avu'ava ene ne'ma, avaririno kefo avu'ava'ma ome haniana, knare tinkerifi agamunke timo ufreno eri haviza hiankna hugahie.
27 [It is] not good to eat much honey; but it is right to honour venerable sayings.
Vahe'mo'ma ra'ma'a tumerima ne'zamo'a, knarera osu'ne. Vahe'mo'ma agra'a ra agima eri'zanku'ma mraguzamati'zamo'a, knarera osu'ne.
28 As a city whose walls are broken down, and which is unfortified, so is a man who does anything without counsel.
Iza'o, rimpa aka he'zama azeri aravama ohesiana, mago ra kuma'mofo have keginamo fragu vaziramiankna hugahie.
