< Proverbs 13 >

1 A wise son is obedient to his father: but a disobedient son will be destroyed.
Moloidafa mano e da eda ea sia: sea o olelesea, noga: le naba. Be gasa fi dunu da, e giadofai dagoi hamedafa sia: sa.
2 A good [man] shall eat of the fruits of righteousness: but the lives of transgressors shall perish before their time.
Moloidafa dunu da ilia sia: sia: beba: le, bidi noga: iwane lamu. Be ogogosu dunu da mosolamu hanai galebe.
3 He that keeps his own mouth keeps his own life: but he that is hasty with his lips shall bring terror upon himself.
Dia lafidili sia: noga: le ouligima. Amoga di da dia esalusu gaga: mu. Be udigili sia: dasu dunu da hina: fawane wadela: lesisa.
4 Every slothful man desires, but the hands of the active are diligent.
Hihi dabuli dunu da liligi lamu bagade hanasa. Be e da hame lamu. Be gasa bagade hawa: hamosu dunu da ea hanai liligi huluane lamu.
5 A righteous man hates an unjust word: but an ungodly man is ashamed, and will have no confidence.
Moloidafa dunu da ogogosu hou higasa. Be wadela: i hamosu dunu ilia sia: da wadela: idafa amola gogosiama: ne adosa.

Moloidafa hou da wadela: i hame hamosu dunu amo gaga: sa. Be wadela: i hou da wadela: i hamosu dunu ilia dafasu agoai galebe.
7 There are [some] who, having nothing, enrich themselves: and there are [some] who bring themselves down in [the midst of] much wealth.
Dunu mogili ilia da bagade gaguiyale sia: sa, be ilia da liligi bagade hame gagui ba: sa. Mogili ilia da ogogole ilia da liligi hame gagui sia: sa, be ilia da liligi bagade gagui dunu ba: sa.
8 A man's own wealth is the ransom of his life: but the poor endures not threatening.
Bagade gagui dunu da ea muniga ea esalusu logo gaga: sa. Be gasa fi dunu da hame gagui dunu ema hame magagisa.
9 The righteous always have light: but the light of the ungodly is quenched. Crafty souls go astray in sins: but just men pity, and are merciful.
Moloidafa dunu da gamali amo da noga: lewane digagala: su agoai ba: sa. Be wadela: i dunu da gamali gegela: i agoai ba: sa.
10 A bad man does evil with insolence: but they that are judges of themselves are wise.
Gasa fi hamosu da mosolasu fawane hamosa. Be eno dunu ilia fada: i sia: ne iasu amo adole ba: mu da defea.
11 Wealth gotten hastily with iniquity is diminished: but he that gathers for himself with godliness shall be increased. The righteous is merciful, and lends.
Di da muni bagade hedolowane asabole lasea, hedolowane fisimu. Be muni lamu logo da gasa bagade ba: sea, di da hobea bagade gaguiwane ba: mu.
12 Better is he that begins to help heartily, than he that promises and leads [another] to hope: for a good desire is a tree of life.

13 He that slights a matter shall be slighted of it: but he that fears the commandment has health [of soul]. To a crafty son there shall be nothing good: but a wise servant shall have prosperous doings, and his way shall be directed aright.

14 The law of the wise is fountain of life: but the man void of understanding shall die by a snare.
Bagade dawa: su dunu ilia olelesu da esalusu hano bubuga: su agoai galebe. Dima bogoma: ne mosolasu doaga: sea, ilia da dima hobeale ahoasu logo olelemu.
15 Sound discretion gives favour, and to know the law is the part of a sound understanding: but the ways of scorners tend to destruction.
Dunu da bagade dawa: su dunu ilima nodosa. Be ogogosu dunu da wadela: su logo amoga ahoana.
16 Every prudent man acts with knowledge: but the fool displays his own mischief.
Bagade dawa: su dunu da hou huluane dadawa: lalu fawane hamosa. Be gagaoui dunu da hame dawa: beba: le, dunu huluane da ilia hou ba: sa.
17 A rash king shall fall into mischief: but a wise messenger shall deliver him.
Ogogosu sia: alofele ia ahoasu dunu da moloiwane hame sia: sea, mosolasu hamosa. Be moloidafa sia: alofele ia ahoasu dunu da olofosu gaguli maha.
18 Instruction removes poverty and disgrace: but he that attends to reproofs shall be honoured.
Nowa dunu da olelesu hame nabasea da hame gaguiwane amola gogosia: iwane ba: mu. Be dunu da gagabole sia: su noga: le nabasea, dunu eno da ema nodomu.
19 The desires of the godly gladden the soul, but the works of the ungodly are far from knowledge.
Dia hanai liligi labeba: le, di da hahawane bagade ba: sa. Be gagaoui dunu da ilia wadela: i hou yolesimu higasa.
20 If you walk with wise men you shall be wise: but he that walks with fools shall be known.
Di da bagade dawa: su dunu ilima gilisimu da defea. Amasea, di da asigi dawa: su lamu. Be di da gagaoui dunu ilima sama hamosea, di da wadela: lesi dagoi ba: mu.
21 Evil shall pursue sinners; but good shall overtake the righteous.
Mosolasu da wadela: i hamosu dunu ilima fa: no bobogesa. Be moloidafa hamosu dunu da bidi ida: iwane gala lamu.
22 A good man shall inherit children's children; and the wealth of ungodly men is laid up for the just.
Moloidafa dunu da liligi bagade gaguiba: le, amo eaowa ilia da fa: no lamu. Be wadela: i hamosu dunu ilia gagui da fa: no moloidafa dunu ilia fawane da lamu.
23 The righteous shall spend many years in wealth: but the unrighteous shall perish suddenly.
Udigili dialebe soge ganodini da ha: i manu bagade gala. Amola hame gagui dunu ilia da amo lamu da defea galu. Be moloi hame dunu da molole hame fofada: su hamobeba: le, ilia da amo sogega ifabi hamomu hamedei ba: sa.
24 He that spares the rod hates his son: but he that loves, carefully chastens [him].
Di da dia manoma se iasu hame iasea, di da dia manoma hame asigisa. Be di da dia manoma asigi galea, ea hou hahamoma: ne, se iasu ema ima.
25 A just [man] eats and satisfies his soul: but the souls of the ungodly are in lack.
Moloidafa dunu da ha: i manu ili sadimu defele ba: sa. Be wadela: i hamosu dunu da eso huluane ha: aligiwane esala.
