Proverbs 11
1 False balances are an abomination before the Lord: but a just weight is acceptable to him.
൧കള്ളത്തുലാസ്സ് യഹോവയ്ക്ക് വെറുപ്പ്; ശരിയായ തൂക്കം അവിടുത്തേക്ക് പ്രസാദകരം.
2 Wherever pride enters, there will be also disgrace: but the mouth of the lowly meditates wisdom.
൨അഹങ്കാരം വരുമ്പോൾ ലജ്ജയും വരുന്നു; താഴ്മയുള്ളവരുടെ പക്കൽ ജ്ഞാനമുണ്ട്.
3 When a just man dies he leaves regret: but the destruction of the ungodly is speedy, and causes joy.
൩നേരുള്ളവരുടെ സത്യസന്ധത അവരെ വഴിനടത്തും; ദ്രോഹികളുടെ വക്രത അവരെ നശിപ്പിക്കും.
4 [Possessions will not profit in a day of wrath, but righteousness will deliver from death. ]
൪ക്രോധദിവസത്തിൽ സമ്പത്ത് ഉപകരിക്കുന്നില്ല; നീതിയോ മരണത്തിൽനിന്ന് വിടുവിക്കുന്നു.
5 Righteousness traces out blameless paths: but ungodliness encounters unjust dealing.
൫നിഷ്കളങ്കന്റെ നീതി അവന് നേർവഴി ഒരുക്കും; ദുഷ്ടൻ തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടതകൊണ്ട് വീണുപോകും.
6 The righteousness of upright men delivers them: but transgressors are caught in their own destruction.
൬നേരുള്ളവരുടെ നീതി അവരെ വിടുവിക്കും; ദ്രോഹികൾ അവരുടെ ദുർമ്മോഹത്താൽ പിടിക്കപ്പെടും.
7 At the death of a just man his hope does not perish: but the boast of the ungodly perishes.
൭ദുഷ്ടൻ മരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവന്റെ പ്രതീക്ഷ നശിക്കുന്നു; നീതികെട്ടവരുടെ ആശയ്ക്ക് ഭംഗംവരുന്നു.
8 A righteous man escapes from a snare, and the ungodly man is delivered up in his place.
൮നീതിമാൻ കഷ്ടത്തിൽനിന്ന് രക്ഷപെടുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടൻ അവന് പകരം അകപ്പെടുന്നു.
9 In the mouth of ungodly men is a snare to citizens: but the understanding of righteous men is prosperous.
൯വഷളൻ വായ്കൊണ്ട് കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; നീതിമാന്മാർ പരിജ്ഞാനത്താൽ വിടുവിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
10 In the prosperity of righteous men a city prospers: but by the mouth of ungodly men it is overthrown.
൧൦നീതിമാന്മാർ ശുഭമായിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ പട്ടണം സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ നശിക്കുമ്പോൾ ആർപ്പുവിളി ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു.
11 [At the blessing of the upright a city shall be exalted. ]
൧൧നേരുള്ളവരുടെ അനുഗ്രഹംകൊണ്ട് പട്ടണം ഉയർച്ച പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വായ്കൊണ്ടോ അത് ഇടിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു.
12 A man void of understanding sneers at [his fellow] citizens: but a sensible man is quiet.
൧൨കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നവൻ ബുദ്ധിഹീനൻ; വിവേകമുള്ളവൻ മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കുന്നു.
13 A double-tongued man discloses the [secret] counsels of an assembly: but he that is faithful in spirit conceals matters.
൧൩ഏഷണിക്കാരനായി നടക്കുന്നവൻ രഹസ്യം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; വിശ്വസ്തമാനസൻ കാര്യം മറച്ചുവയ്ക്കുന്നു.
14 They that have no guidance fall like leaves: but in much counsel there is safety.
൧൪മാർഗ്ഗനിർദ്ദേശം ഇല്ലാത്തയിടത്ത് ജനം അധോഗതി പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു; മന്ത്രിമാരുടെ ബഹുത്വത്തിലോ രക്ഷയുണ്ട്.
15 A bad man does harm wherever he meets a just man: and he hates the sound of safety.
൧൫അന്യനുവേണ്ടി ജാമ്യം നില്ക്കുന്നവൻ അത്യന്തം വ്യസനിക്കും! ജാമ്യം നിൽക്കാത്തവൻ നിർഭയനായിരിക്കും.
16 A gracious wife brings glory to her husband: but a woman hating righteousness is a theme of dishonour. The slothful come to lack: but the diligent support themselves with wealth.
൧൬കൃപാലുവായ സ്ത്രീ മാനം സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; കരുണയില്ലാത്തവർ സമ്പത്ത് സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
17 A merciful man does good to his own soul: but the merciless destroys his own body.
൧൭ദയാലുവായവൻ സ്വന്തപ്രാണന് നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നു; ക്രൂരനോ സ്വന്തജഡത്തെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നു.
18 An ungodly man performs unrighteous works: but the seed of the righteous is a reward of truth.
൧൮ദുഷ്ടൻ വൃഥാലാഭം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; നീതി വിതയ്ക്കുന്നവന് വാസ്തവമായ പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടും.
19 A righteous son is born for life: but the persecution of the ungodly [ends] in death.
൧൯നീതിയിൽ സ്ഥിരപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നവൻ ജീവനെ പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു; ദോഷത്തെ പിന്തുടരുന്നവൻ തന്റെ മരണത്തിനായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു.
20 Perverse ways are an abomination to the Lord: but all they that are blameless in their ways are acceptable to him.
൨൦വക്രബുദ്ധികൾ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് വെറുപ്പ്; നിഷ്കളങ്കമാർഗ്ഗികൾ അവിടുത്തേക്ക് പ്രസാദമുള്ളവർ.
21 He that unjustly strikes hands shall not be unpunished: but he that sows righteousness he shall receive a faithful reward.
൨൧നിശ്ചയമായും ദുഷ്ടനു ശിക്ഷ വരാതിരിക്കുകയില്ല; നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ സന്തതിയോ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും.
22 As an ornament in a swine's snout, so is beauty to an ill-minded women.
൨൨വിവേകമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു സുന്ദരി പന്നിയുടെ മൂക്കിൽ പൊൻമൂക്കുത്തിപോലെ.
23 All the desire of the righteous is good: but the hope of the ungodly shall perish.
൨൩നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ ആഗ്രഹം നന്മ തന്നെ; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ പ്രതീക്ഷയോ ക്രോധമത്രേ.
24 There are [some] who scatter their own, and make it more: and there are [some] also who gather, [yet] have less.
൨൪ഒരുവൻ വാരിവിതറിയിട്ടും വർദ്ധിച്ചുവരുന്നു; മറ്റൊരുവൻ അന്യായമായി സമ്പാദിച്ചിട്ടും ദാരിദ്ര്യത്തിൽ എത്തുന്നു.
25 Every sincere soul is blessed: but a passionate man is not graceful.
൨൫ഔദാര്യമാനസൻ പുഷ്ടി പ്രാപിക്കും; തണുപ്പിക്കുന്നവന് തണുപ്പ് കിട്ടും.
26 May he that hoards corn leave it to the nation: but blessing be on the head of him that gives [it].
൨൬ധാന്യം പൂട്ടിയിട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നവനെ ജനങ്ങൾ ശപിക്കും; അത് വില്‍ക്കുന്നവന്‍റെ തലമേൽ അനുഗ്രഹം വരും.
27 He that devises good [counsels] seeks good favour: but [as for] him that seeks after evil, [evil] shall overtake him.
൨൭നന്മയ്ക്കായി ഉത്സാഹിക്കുന്നവൻ പ്രീതി സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നു; തിന്മ തേടുന്നവന് അത് തന്നെ ലഭിക്കും.
28 He that trusts in wealth shall fall; but he that helps righteous men shall rise.
൨൮തന്റെ സമ്പത്തിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവൻ വീഴും; നീതിമാന്മാർ പച്ചയിലപോലെ തഴയ്ക്കും.
29 He that deals not graciously with his own house shall inherit the wind; and the fool shall be servant to the wise man.
൨൯സ്വഭവനത്തെ വലയ്ക്കുന്നവന്റെ അവകാശം വായുവത്രെ; ഭോഷൻ ജ്ഞാനഹൃദയന് ദാസനായിത്തീരും.
30 Out of the fruit of righteousness grows a tree of life; but the souls of transgressors are cut off before their time.
൩൦നീതിമാന് ജീവവൃക്ഷം പ്രതിഫലം; ജ്ഞാനിയായവൻ ആത്മാക്കളെ നേടുന്നു.
31 If the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
൩൧നീതിമാന് ഭൂമിയിൽ പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ദുഷ്ടനും പാപിക്കും എത്ര അധികം?
