Proverbs 1
1 The Proverbs of Solomon son of David, who reigned in Israel;
Kuwanu waa maahmaahyadii Sulaymaan ina Daa'uud oo ahaa boqorkii reer Binu Israa'iil,
2 to know wisdom and instruction, and to perceive words of understanding;
Wuxuu u qoray si loo ogaado xigmadda iyo edbinta, Oo loo garto erayada waxgarashada,
3 to receive also hard saying, and to understand true justice, and [how] to direct judgement;
In la helo edbinta ku saabsan xigmadda, Iyo xaqnimada iyo garta iyo caaddilnimada;
4 that he might give subtlety to the simple, and to the young man discernment and understanding.
Si miyir loo siiyo garaadlaawaha, Oo aqoon iyo digtoonaanna loo yeelo ninka dhallinyarada ah.
5 For by the hearing of these a wise man will be wiser, and man of understanding will gain direction;
Ninkii caqli lahu wuu maqli doonaa, oo wuxuu korodhsan doonaa waxbarasho, Oo ninkii garaad lahuna wuxuu qabsan doonaa talada wanaagsan,
6 and will understand a parable, and a dark speech; the saying of the wise also, and riddles.
Si lagu garto maahmaahda, iyo micnaynta, Iyo hadallada kuwa caqliga leh iyo xujooyinkooda.
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; and [there is] good understanding to all that practise it: and piety towards God is the beginning of discernment; but the ungodly will set at nothing wisdom and instruction.
Waxaa aqoonta ugu horreeya Rabbiga ka cabsashadiisa; Laakiinse nacasyadu waxay quudhsadaan xigmadda iyo edbinta.
8 Hear, [my] son, the instruction of your father, and reject not the rules of your mother.
Wiilkaygiiyow, edbinta aabbahaa maqal, Oo amarka hooyadaana ha ka tegin,
9 For you shall receive for your head a crown of graces, and a chain of gold round your neck.
Waayo, waxay madaxaaga u noqon doonaan wax sharraxsan, Oo waxay kuu noqon doonaan silsilado qoorta kuu sudhan.
10 [My] son, let not ungodly men lead you astray, neither consent you [to them].
Wiilkaygiiyow, haddii dembilayaal ku sasabtaan, Ha oggolaan.
11 If they should exhort you, saying, Come with us, partake in blood, and let us unjustly hide the just man in the earth:
Hadday kugu yidhaahdaan, Na soo raac, Aan gaadno inaynu dhiig daadinno, Oo aynu sababla'aan kuwa aan eedda lahayn si qarsoon ugu dhuumanno;
12 and let us swallow him alive, as Hades [would], and remove the memorial of him from the earth: (Sheol h7585)
Oo iyagoo nool aynu u liqno sida qabriga oo kale, Dhammaantoodna aan juq siinno sida kuwa yamayska ku dhaca; (Sheol h7585)
13 let us seize on his valuable property, and let us fill our houses with spoils:
Waxaynu heli doonnaa maal qaali ah oo cayn kasta ah, Oo guryaheennana waxaynu ka buuxsan doonnaa booli;
14 but do you cast in your lot with us, and let us all provide a common purse, and let us have one pouch:
Nasiibkaaga iskula kaaya soo dar, Oo kulligeenna aynu kiishad qudha wada lahaanno;
15 go not in the way with them, but turn aside your foot from their paths:
Wiilkaygiiyow, iyaga jidka ha la marin; Oo cagtaadana wadiiqadooda dib uga jooji;
16 [For their feet run to do evil, and are swift to shed blood. ]
Waayo, cagahoodu waxay u ordaan shar, Oo waxay u degdegaan inay dhiig daadiyaan.
17 for nets are not without cause spread for birds.
Waayo, waa waxtarla'aan dabinka loo dhigaa Iyadoo ay shimbirtu u jeeddo;
18 For they that are concerned in murder store up evils for themselves; and the overthrow of transgressors is evil.
Iyagu waxay u gaadaan si dhiiggooda loo daadiyo, Oo waxay si qarsoon ugu dhuuntaan si naftooda looga qaado.
19 These are the ways of all that perform lawless deeds; for by ungodliness they destroy their own life.
Sidaas oo kalay yihiin jidadka mid kasta oo faa'iido u hunguri weyn, Oo nafta ka qaada kuwa leh.
20 Wisdom sings aloud in passages, and in the broad places speaks boldly.
Xigmaddu aad bay uga qaylisaa jidka; Oo codkeedana waxay kor uga qaaddaa bannaanka;
21 And she makes proclamation on the top of the walls, and sits by the gates of princes; and at the gates of the city boldly says,
Waxay ka qaylisaa meesha suuqa ugu weyn; Oo iridda magaalada laga soo galo Ayay erayadeeda kaga hadashaa, iyadoo leh,
22 So long as the simple cleave to justice, they shall not be ashamed: but the foolish being lovers of haughtiness, having become ungodly have hated knowledge, and are become subject to reproofs.
Kuwiinna garaadlaawayaasha ahow, ilaa goormaad garaadla'aanta sii jeclaanaysaan? Oo kuwa wax quudhsadaana, ilaa goormay quudhsashadooda ku sii farxayaan? Nacasyaduna, ilaa goormay aqoonta sii necbaanayaan?
23 Behold, I will bring forth to you the utterance of my breath, and I will instruct you in my speech.
Canaantayda u soo noqda; Bal eega, anigu waxaan idinku shubi doonaa ruuxayga, Oo waxaan idin ogeysiin doonaa erayadayda.
24 Since I called, and you did not listen; and I spoke at length, and you gave no heed;
Anigu waan idiin yeedhay, laakiinse waad i diiddeen; Oo anigu gacantaydaan soo fidiyey, oo ninnana dan kama yeelan;
25 but you set at nothing my counsels, and disregarded my reproofs;
Laakiinse idinku taladaydii oo dhan waad fududaysateen, Oo canaantaydiina ma aydin doonaynin;
26 therefore I also will laugh at your destruction; and I will rejoice against [you] when ruin comes upon you:
Sidaas daraaddeed aniguna waan idinku qosli doonaa markay belaayo idinku dhacdo; Waanan idinku majaajiloon doonaa markay cabsiyu idinku soo degto;
27 yes when dismay suddenly comes upon you, and [your] overthrow shall arrive like a tempest; and when tribulation and distress shall come upon you, or when ruin shall come upon you.
Markay cabsidiinnu u timaado sida duufaan oo kale, Oo belaayadiinnuna u timaado sida dabayl cirwareen ah; Oo dhibaato iyo cidhiidhi idinku yimaadaan.
28 For it shall be that when you call upon me, I will not listen to you: wicked men shall seek me, but shall not find [me].
Markaasay ii yeedhan doonaan, laakiinse anigu uma aan jawaabi doono; Oo horay ii doondooni doonaan, laakiinse ima ay heli doonaan;
29 For they hated wisdom, and did not choose the word of the Lord:
Waayo, waxay nebcaadeen aqoonta, Oo Rabbiga ka cabsashadiisana ma ay dooran;
30 neither would they attend to my counsels, but derided my reproofs.
Iyagu taladaydii innaba ma ay doonaynin; Oo canaantaydii oo dhanna way quudhsadeen;
31 Therefore shall they eat the fruits of their own way, and shall be filled with their own ungodliness.
Haddaba iyagu waxay cuni doonaan midhihii jidkooda, Oo waxay ka dhergi doonaan taladoodii.
32 For because they wronged the simple, they shall be slain; and an inquisition shall ruin the ungodly.
Waayo, garaadlaawayaasha dibunoqoshadooda ayaa iyaga dili doonta, Oo nacasyadana waxaa baabbi'in doonta barwaaqadooda.
33 But he that hearkens to me shall dwell in confidence, and shall rest securely from all evil.
Laakiinse ku alla kii aniga i maqlaa, ammaan buu u fadhiyi doonaa, Wuuna xasilloonaan doonaa, isagoo aan shar ka cabsanaynin.
