< Numbers 30 >
1 And Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes of the children of Israel, saying, This [is] the thing which the Lord has commanded.

2 Whatsoever man shall vow a vow to the Lord, or swear an oath, or bind himself with an obligation upon his soul, he shall not break his word; all that shall come out of his mouth he shall do.
Kami maeto mah Angraeng khaeah lokkamhaih a sak, to tih ai boeh loe palung thung hoiah hmuen maeto sak han thui nahaeloe, a thuih ih lok to amkhrai han om ai;
3 And if a woman shall vow a vow to the Lord, or bind herself with an obligation in her youth in her father's house; and her father should hear her vows and her obligations, wherewith she has bound her soul, and her father should hold his peace at her, then all her vows shall stand,
nongpata maeto loe nawkta vop, ampa im ah oh nathuem ah, Angraeng khaeah lokkamhaih sak moe, a poekhaih baktiah hmuen maeto sak hanah amsak;
4 and all the obligations with which she has bound her soul, shall remain to her.
anih ih lokkamhaih hoiah sak han atim ih lok to ampa mah kawbangah doeh naa ai, omtaak duem nahaeloe, hmuen maeto sak han lokkamhaih hoiah a thuih ih lok to cak tih boeh.
5 But if her father straitly forbid [her] in the day in which he shall hear all her vows and her obligations, which she has contracted upon her soul, they shall not stand; and the Lord shall hold her guiltless, because her father forbade her.
Toe anih lokkamhaih to ampa mah kaang pae khruek nahaeloe, sak han lokkamhaih to cak mak ai; ampa mah kaang pongah, Angraeng mah anih to tahmen tih.
6 But if she should be indeed married, and her vows be upon her according to the utterance of her lips, [the obligations] which she has contracted upon her soul;
Nongpata loe sava tawnh moe, a lokkamhaih baktiah maw, to tih ai boeh loe hmuen maeto ka sak han, tiah pahni hoiah thuih naah,
7 and her husband should hear, and hold his peace at her in the day in which he should hear, then thus shall all her vows be binding, and her obligations, which she has contracted upon her soul shall stand.
a sava mah thaih, toe a thaih niah kawbangah doeh naa ai, omtaak duem nahaeloe, a sak ih lokkamhaih hoi a thuih ih lok to caksak han oh.
8 But if her husband should straitly forbid [her] in the day in which he should hear her, none of her vows or obligations which she has contracted upon her soul shall stand, because her husband has disallowed her, and the Lord shall hold her guiltless.
Toe a sava mah thaih na niah sak han ai ah pakaa pae khruek nahaeloe, anih lokkamhaih maw, pahni hoiah thuih ih lok maw loe azom ah ni om tih; Angraeng mah doeh anih to tahmen tih.
9 And the vow of a widow and of her that is put away, whatever she shall bind upon her soul, shall stand to her.
Lamhmaih nongpata hoi sava mah pakhrak ih nongpata mah lokkamhaih sah nahaeloe, a lokkamhaih to caksak han oh.
10 And if her vow [be made] in the house of her husband, or the obligation upon her soul with an oath,
Sava tawn nongpata mah lokkamhaih to sak han ih maw, to tih ai boeh loe hmuen maeto sak han lokkamhaih sak naah,
11 and her husband should hear, and hold his peace at her, and not disallow her, then all her vows shall stand, and all the obligations which she contracted against her soul, shall stand against her.
a sava mah thaih, toe pakaa ai, kawbangah doeh naa ai, omtaak duem nahaeloe, hmuen maeto sak han lokkamhaih hoiah a thuih ih lok to cak tih.
12 But if her husband should utterly cancel the vow in the day in which he shall hear it, none of the things which shall proceed out of her lips in her vows, and in the obligations [contracted] upon her soul, shall stand to her; her husband has cancelled them, and the Lord shall hold her guiltless.
Toe sava mah to lok to thaih na niah a lok to aek pae nahaeloe, pahni hoiah thuih ih lokkamhaih hoiah sak han thuih ih lok to cak mak ai; a sava mah phraek boeh pongah, Angraeng mah doeh anih to tahmen tih.
13 Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict her soul, her husband shall confirm it to her, or her husband shall cancel it.
A poekhaih amtang hanah a sak ih lokkamhaih boih, hmuen maeto sak han thuih ih lok boih loe, a sava mah caksak thaih baktiah, a phraek thaih.
14 But if he be wholly silent at her from day to day, then shall he bind upon her all her vows; and he shall confirm to her the obligations [which she has bound] upon herself, because he held his peace at her in the day in which he heard her.
Toe a sava mah to hmuen kawng pongah, nito pacoeng nito tidoeh thui ai ah omtaak duem nahaeloe, to nongpata mah lokkamhaih hoiah sak han thuih ih loknawk boih loe cak tih; a sava mah thaih, toe anih to kawbangah doeh naa ai pongah, a thuih ih lok to cak tih.
15 And if her husband should in any wise cancel [them] after the day in which he heard [them], then he shall bear his iniquity.
Toe sava mah thaih pacoengah hnukkhuem ah phraek han thui nahaeloe, a zu zaehaih to sava nuiah krah tih, tiah a naa.
16 These [are] the ordinances which the Lord commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, and between a father and daughter in [her] youth in the house of [her] father.
Hae loe Angraeng mah Mosi khaeah thuih pae ih, zu sava salak, ampa hoi ampa im ah kaom a canu tangla salakah khosakhaih atawk ah oh.
