Numbers 26
1 And it came to pass after the plague, that the Lord spoke to Moses and Eleazar the priest, saying,

2 Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, according to the houses of their lineage, every one that goes forth to battle in Israel.

3 And Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke in Araboth of Moab at the Jordan by Jericho, saying,
Allí, en la llanura de Moab, junto al Jordán, frente a Jericó, Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote dio la orden,
4 [This is the numbering] from twenty years old and upward as the Lord commanded Moses. And the sons of Israel that came out of Egypt [are as follows]:
“Censar a los hombres de veinte años o más, siguiendo las instrucciones que el Señor dio a Moisés”. El siguiente es el registro genealógico de los que dejaron la tierra de Egipto.
5 Ruben [was] the firstborn of Israel: and the sons of Ruben, Enoch, and the family of Enoch; to Phallu belongs the family of the Phalluites.
Estos eran los descendientes de Rubén, el primogénito de Israel: Hanoc, antepasado de la familia hanocítica; Falú, antepasado de la familia faluita;
6 To Asron, the family of Asroni: to Charmi, the family of Charmi.
Hezrón, antepasado de la familia hezronita; y Carmi, antepasado de la familia carmita.
7 These [are] the families of Ruben; and their numbering was forty-three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
Estas fueron las familias descendientes de Rubén y fueron 43.730.
8 And the sons of Phallu [were] Eliab, —
El hijo de Falú era Eliab,
9 and the sons of Eliab, Namuel, and Dathan, and Abiron: these [are] renowned men of the congregation; these are they that rose up against Moses and Aaron in the gathering of Core, in the rebellion against the Lord.
y los hijos de Eliab eran Nemuel, Datán y Abiram. (Fueron Datán y Abiram, líderes escogidos por los israelitas, los que se unieron a la rebelión contra Moisés y Aarón con los seguidores de Coré cuando se rebelaron contra el Señor.
10 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up them and Core, when their assembly perished, when the fire devoured the two hundred and fifty, and they were made a sign.
La tierra se abrió y se los tragó, junto con Coré. Sus seguidores murieron cuando el fuego quemó a 250 hombres. Lo que les sucedió fue una advertencia para los israelitas.
11 But the sons of Core died not.
Pero los hijos de Coré no murieron).
12 And the sons of Symeon: —the family of the sons of Symeon: to Namuel, [belonged] the family of the Namuelites; to Jamin the family of the Jaminites; to Jachin the family of the Jachinites.
Estos fueron los descendientes de Simeón por familia: Nemuel, antepasado de la familia Nemuelita; Jamin, antepasado de la familia Jaminita; Jacín, antepasado de la familia Jaquinita;
13 To Zara the family of the Zaraites; to Saul the family of the Saulites.
Zera, ancestro de la familia Zeraita; y Saul, ancestro de la familia Saulita.
14 These [are] the families of Symeon according to their numbering, two and twenty thousand and two hundred.
Estas eran las familias descendientes de Simeón y eran 22.200.
15 And the sons of Juda, Er and Aunan; and Er and Aunan died in the land of Chanaan.
Estos fueron los descendientes de Gad por familia: Sefón, ancestro de la familia sefonita; Haggi, ancestro de la familia Haggite; Shuni, ancestro de la familia Shunite;
16 And these were the sons of Juda, according to their families: to Selom [belonged] the family of the Selonites; to Phares, the family of the Pharesites; to Zara, the family of the Zaraites.

17 And the sons of Phares were, to Asron, the family of the Asronites; to Jamun, the family of the Jamunites.

18 These [are] the families of Juda according to their numbering, seventy-six thousand and five hundred.

19 And the sons of Issachar according to their families: to Thola, the family of the Tholaites; to Phua, the family of the Phuaites.
Los hijos de Judá que murieron en Canaán fueron Er y Onan. Estos eran los descendientes de Judá por familia:
20 To Jasub, the family of the Jasubites; to Samram, the family of the Samramites.
Sela, antepasado de la familia selaíta; Fares, antepasado de la familia faresita; Zera, antepasado de la familia zeraíta.
21 These [are] the families of Issachar according to their numbering, sixty-four thousand and four hundred.
Estos fueron los descendientes de Fares: Hezrón, ancestro de la familia hezronita; y Hamul, ancestro de la familia hamulita.
22 The sons of Zabulon according to their families: to Sared, the family of the Saredites; to Allon, the family of the Allonites; to Allel, the family of the Allelites.
Estas eran las familias descendientes de Judá y sumaban 76.500.
23 These [are] the families of Zabulon according to their numbering, sixty thousand and five hundred.
Estos fueron los descendientes de Isacar por familia: Tola, antepasado de la familia tolaíta; Púa, antepasado de la familia punita;
24 The sons of Gad according to their families: to Saphon, the family of the Saphonites; to Angi, the family of the Angites; to Suni, the family of the Sunites;
Jasub, antepasado de la familia jasubita; y Simrón, antepasado de la familia simronita.
25 to Azeni, the family of the Azenites; to Addi, the family of the Addites:
Estas eran las familias descendientes de Isacar y sumaban 64.300.
26 to Aroadi, the family of the Aroadites; to Ariel, the family of the Arielites.
Estos eran los descendientes de Zabulón por familia: Sered, antepasado de la familia seredita; Elón, antepasado de la familia elonita; y Jahleel, antepasado de la familia jahleelita.
27 These [are] the families of the children of Gad according to their numbering, forty-four thousand and five hundred.
Estas eran las familias descendientes de Zabulón, y eran 60.500.
28 The sons of Aser according to their families; to Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; to Jesu, the family of the Jesusites; to Baria, the family of the Bariaites.
Estos fueron los descendientes de José por familia a través de Manasés y Efraín:
29 To Chober, the family of the Choberites; to Melchiel, the family of the Melchielites.
Los descendientes de Manasés: Maquir (era el padre de Galaad), antepasado de la familia maquirita; y Galaad, antepasado de la familia galaadita.
30 And the name of the daughter of Aser, Sara.
Los descendientes de Galaad: Izer, antepasado de la familia Iezerita; Heled, antepasado de la familia helequita;
31 These [are] the families of Aser according to their numbering, forty-three thousand and four hundred.
Asriel, antepasado de la familia asrielita; Siquem, antepasado de la familia siquemita;
32 The sons of Joseph according to their families, Manasse and Ephraim.
Semida, antepasado de la familia Semidita; y Hefer, antepasado de la familia heferita.
33 The sons of Manasse. To Machir the family of the Machirites; and Machir begot Galaad: to Galaad, the family of the Galaadites.
(Zelofehad, hijo de Hefer, no tuvo hijos, sólo hijas. Se llamaban Maala, Noa, Hogla, Milca y Tirsa).
34 And these [are] the sons of Galaad; to Achiezer, the family of the Achiezerites; to Cheleg, the family of the Chelegites.
Estas eran las familias que descendían de Manasés, y eran 52.700.
35 To Esriel, the family of the Esrielites; to Sychem, the family of the Sychemites.
Estos eran los descendientes de Efraín por familia: Sutela, antepasado de la familia sutelaíta; Bequer, antepasado de la familia bequerita; y Tahán, antepasado de la familia tahanita.
36 To Symaer, the family of the Symaerites; and to Opher, the family of the Opherites.
El descendiente de Suthelah era Erán, ancestro de la familia eranita.
37 And to Salpaad the son of Opher there were no sons, but daughters: and these [were] the names of the daughters of Salpaad; Mala, and Nua, and Egla, and Melcha, and Thersa.

38 These [are] the families of Manasse according to their numbering, fifty-two thousand and seven hundred.
Estos eran los descendientes de Benjamín por familia: Bela, antepasado de la familia Belaite; Asbel, antepasado de la familia asbelita; Ahiram, antepasado de la familia ahiramita;
39 And these [are] the children of Ephraim; to Suthala, the family of the Suthalanites; to Tanach, the family of the Tanachites.

40 These [are] the sons of Suthala; to Eden, the family of the Edenites.

41 These [are] the families of Ephraim according to their numbering, thirty-two thousand and five hundred: these [are] the families of the children of Joseph according to their families.
Estas fueron las familias descendientes de Benjamín, y sumaban 45.600.
42 The sons of Benjamin according to their families; to Bale, the family of the Balites; to Asyber, the family of the Asyberites; to Jachiran, the family of the Jachiranites.
Estos fueron los descendientes de Dan por familia: Súham, antepasado de las familias Suhamitas.
43 To Sophan, the family of the Sophanites.
Todas eran familias suhamitas, y eran 64.400.
44 And the sons of Bale were Adar and Noeman; to Adar, the family of the Adarites; and to Noeman, the family of the Noemanites.
Estos eran los descendientes de Aser por familia: Imnah, antepasado de la familia imnite; Isvi, antepasado de la familia isvita; y Bería, antepasado de la familia beriaita.
45 These [are] the sons of Benjamin by their families according to their numbering, thirty-five thousand and five hundred.
Los descendientes de Bería fueron Heber, antepasado de la familia heberita; y Malquiel, antepasado de la familia malquielita.
46 And the sons of Dan according to their families; to Same, the family of the Sameites; these [are] the families of Dan according to their families.
El nombre de la hija de Aser era Sera.
47 All the families of Samei according to their numbering, sixty-four thousand and four hundred.
Estas eran las familias descendientes de Aser, y sumaban 53.400.
48 The sons of Nephthali according to their families; to Asiel, the family of the Asielites; to Gauni, the family of the Gaunites.
Estos eran los descendientes de Neftalí por familia: Jahzeel, antepasado de la familia jahzeelita; Guni, antepasado de la familia gunita;
49 To Jeser, the family of the Jeserites; to Sellem, the family of the Sellemites.
Jezer, antepasado de la familia jezerita; y Silem, antepasado de la familia silemita.
50 These [are] the families of Nephthali, according to their numbering, forty thousand and three hundred.
Estas eran las familias descendientes de Neftalí, y sumaban 45.400.
51 This [is] the numbering of the children of Israel, six hundred and one thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
El total de todos los contados fue de 601.730.
52 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
El Señor le dijo a Moisés:
53 To these the land shall be divided, so that they may inherit according to the number of the names.
“Divide la tierra que se va a poseer en función del número de los censados.
54 To the greater number you shall give the greater inheritance, and to the less number you shall give the less inheritance: to each one, as they have been numbered, shall their inheritance be given.
Dale una mayor superficie de tierra a las tribus grandes, y una menor superficie a las tribus más pequeña. Cada tribu recibirá su asignación de tierra dependiendo de su número contado en el censo.
55 The land shall be divided to the names by lot, they shall inherit according to the tribes of their families.
“La tierra debe ser dividida por sorteo. Cada uno recibirá su tierra asignada en función del nombre de la tribu de su antepasado.
56 You shall divide their inheritance by lot between the many and the few.
Cada asignación de tierra se dividirá por sorteo entre las tribus, ya sean grandes o pequeñas”.
57 And the sons of Levi according to their families; to Gedson, the family of the Gedsonites; to Caath, the family of the Caathites; to Merari, the family of the Merarites.
Estos fueron los levitas censados por familia: Gerson, antepasado de la familia gersonita; Coat, antepasado de la familia coatita; y Merari, antepasado de la familia merarita.
58 These [are] the families of the sons of Levi; the family of the Lobenites, the family of the Chebronites, the family of the Coreites, and the family of the Musites; and Caath begot Amram.
Las siguientes fueron las familias de los levitas: la familia libnita, la familia hebronita, la familia mahlita, la familia musita y la familia coraíta. Coat era el padre de Amram,
59 And the name of his wife [was] Jochabed, daughter of Levi, who bore these to Levi in Egypt, and she bore to Amram, Aaron and Moses, and Mariam their sister.
y el nombre de la esposa de Amram era Jocabed. Era descendiente de Levi, nacida mientras los levitas estaban en Egipto. Tuvo hijos con Amram: Aarón, Moisés y su hermana Miriam.
60 And to Aaron were born both Nadab and Abiud, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Los hijos de Aarón fueron Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar,
61 And Nadab and Abiud died when they offered strange fire before the Lord in the wilderness of Sina.
pero Nadab y Abiú murieron cuando ofrecieron fuego prohibido en presencia del Señor.
62 And there were according to their numbering, twenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and upward; for they were not numbered amongst the children of Israel, because they have no inheritance in the midst of the children of Israel.
El número de los levitas censados ascendía a 23.000. Esto incluía a todos los varones de un mes o más. Sin embargo, no fueron contados con los otros israelitas, porque no se les dio ninguna asignación de tierras con los otros israelitas.
63 And this [is] the numbering of Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in Araboth of Moab, at Jordan by Jericho.
Este es el registro de los que fueron censados por Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote cuando contaron a los israelitas en las llanuras de Moab al lado del Jordán frente a Jericó.
64 And amongst these there was not a man numbered by Moses and Aaron, whom, [even] the children of Israel, they numbered in the wilderness of Sinai.
Sin embargo, no incluyeron ni uno solo que hubiera sido censado previamente por Moisés y el sacerdote Aarón cuando contaron a los israelitas en el desierto del Sinaí,
65 For the Lord said to them, They shall surely die in the wilderness; and there was not left even one of them, except Chaleb the son of Jephonne, and Joshua the [son] of Naue.
porque el Señor les había dicho que todos morirían en el desierto. No quedó nadie excepto Caleb, hijo de Jefone, y Josué, hijo de Nun.
