Numbers 26
1 And it came to pass after the plague, that the Lord spoke to Moses and Eleazar the priest, saying,

2 Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, according to the houses of their lineage, every one that goes forth to battle in Israel.
“Mixlẽ Israelvi siwo katã xɔ ƒe blaeve alo wu nenema ne miakpɔ ame siwo ate ŋu ayi aʋa tso to ɖe sia ɖe kple hlɔ̃ ɖe sia ɖe me.”
3 And Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke in Araboth of Moab at the Jordan by Jericho, saying,
Ale le Moab tagba, le Yɔdan gbɔ tso Yeriko, Mose kple Eleazar, nunɔla la, ƒo nu kple wo, eye wogblɔ be,
4 [This is the numbering] from twenty years old and upward as the Lord commanded Moses. And the sons of Israel that came out of Egypt [are as follows]:
“Mixlẽ ŋutsu siwo xɔ ƒe blaeve alo wu nenema, abe ale si Yehowa ɖo na Mose ene.” Woawoe nye Israelvi siwo ʋu tso Egiptenyigba dzi.
5 Ruben [was] the firstborn of Israel: and the sons of Ruben, Enoch, and the family of Enoch; to Phallu belongs the family of the Phalluites.
Ruben nye Israel ƒe ŋgɔgbevi. Ruben ƒe viwoe nye Hanok, ame si dzi Hanok hlɔ̃ la. Palu, ame si dzi Palu hlɔ̃ la,
6 To Asron, the family of Asroni: to Charmi, the family of Charmi.
Hezron, ame si dzi Hezron hlɔ̃ la, Karmi, ame si dzi Karmi hlɔ̃ la.
7 These [are] the families of Ruben; and their numbering was forty-three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
Esiawoe nye Ruben ƒe hlɔ̃metɔwo; ame siwo wotia xlẽ le wo me la le ame akpe blaene-vɔ-etɔ̃, alafa adre blaetɔ̃.
8 And the sons of Phallu [were] Eliab, —
Palu ƒe vie nye Eliab,
9 and the sons of Eliab, Namuel, and Dathan, and Abiron: these [are] renowned men of the congregation; these are they that rose up against Moses and Aaron in the gathering of Core, in the rebellion against the Lord.

10 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up them and Core, when their assembly perished, when the fire devoured the two hundred and fifty, and they were made a sign.
Eya ta anyigba ke nu mi wo, eye dzo tso Yehowa gbɔ wu ame alafa eve blaatɔ̃ wòzu ŋkuɖodzinu.
11 But the sons of Core died not.

12 And the sons of Symeon: —the family of the sons of Symeon: to Namuel, [belonged] the family of the Namuelites; to Jamin the family of the Jaminites; to Jachin the family of the Jachinites.
Simeon ƒe viŋutsuwo kple hlɔ̃ siwo dzɔ tso wo me la woe nye: Nemuel, ame si dzi Nemuel hlɔ̃ la, Yamin, ame si dzi Yamin hlɔ̃ la, Yakin, ame si dzi Yakin hlɔ̃ la,
13 To Zara the family of the Zaraites; to Saul the family of the Saulites.
Zera, ame si dzi Zera hlɔ̃ la, Saul, ame si dzi Saul hlɔ̃ la.
14 These [are] the families of Symeon according to their numbering, two and twenty thousand and two hundred.
Simeon ƒe hlɔ̃metɔwo ƒe xexlẽme le ame akpe blaeve-vɔ-eve, alafa eve.
15 And the sons of Juda, Er and Aunan; and Er and Aunan died in the land of Chanaan.
Gad ƒe viŋutsuwo kple hlɔ̃ siwo dzɔ tso wo me la woe nye: Zefon, ame si dzi Zefon hlɔ̃ la, Hagi, ame si dzi Hagi hlɔ̃ la, Suni, ame si dzi Suni hlɔ̃ la,
16 And these were the sons of Juda, according to their families: to Selom [belonged] the family of the Selonites; to Phares, the family of the Pharesites; to Zara, the family of the Zaraites.

17 And the sons of Phares were, to Asron, the family of the Asronites; to Jamun, the family of the Jamunites.

18 These [are] the families of Juda according to their numbering, seventy-six thousand and five hundred.

19 And the sons of Issachar according to their families: to Thola, the family of the Tholaites; to Phua, the family of the Phuaites.
Yuda ƒe viwoe nye Er kple Onan, ame siwo ku le Kanaanyigba dzi.
20 To Jasub, the family of the Jasubites; to Samram, the family of the Samramites.
Yuda ƒe viŋutsuwo kple hlɔ̃ siwo dzɔ tso wo me la woe nye: Sela, ame si dzi Sela hlɔ̃ la, Perez, ame si dzi Perez hlɔ̃ la, Zera, ame si dzi Zera hlɔ̃ la,
21 These [are] the families of Issachar according to their numbering, sixty-four thousand and four hundred.
Perez ƒe viŋutsuwoe nye: Hezron, ame si dzi Hezron hlɔ̃ la; Hamul, ame si dzi Hamul hlɔ̃ la.
22 The sons of Zabulon according to their families: to Sared, the family of the Saredites; to Allon, the family of the Allonites; to Allel, the family of the Allelites.

23 These [are] the families of Zabulon according to their numbering, sixty thousand and five hundred.
Isaka ƒe viŋutsuwo kple hlɔ̃ siwo dzɔ tso wo me woe nye: Tola, ame si dzi Tola hlɔ̃ la, Puva, ame si dzi Puva hlɔ̃ la.
24 The sons of Gad according to their families: to Saphon, the family of the Saphonites; to Angi, the family of the Angites; to Suni, the family of the Sunites;
Yasub, ame si dzi Yasub hlɔ̃ la; Simrɔn, ame si dzi Simrɔn hlɔ̃ la.
25 to Azeni, the family of the Azenites; to Addi, the family of the Addites:
Ame siwo wotia xlẽ le Isaka ƒe hlɔ̃ me la le ame akpe blaade-vɔ-ene alafa etɔ̃.
26 to Aroadi, the family of the Aroadites; to Ariel, the family of the Arielites.
Zebulon ƒe viŋutsuwo le woƒe towo nue nye: Sered, ame si dzi Sered hlɔ̃ la, Elon, ame si dzi Elon hlɔ̃ la, Yahlil, ame si dzi Yahlil hlɔ̃ la.
27 These [are] the families of the children of Gad according to their numbering, forty-four thousand and five hundred.

28 The sons of Aser according to their families; to Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; to Jesu, the family of the Jesusites; to Baria, the family of the Bariaites.

29 To Chober, the family of the Choberites; to Melchiel, the family of the Melchielites.
Manase ƒe viŋutsuwoe nye: Makir, ame si dzi Makir hlɔ̃ la (Makir dzi Gilead), eye Gilead hlɔ̃ la.
30 And the name of the daughter of Aser, Sara.
Gilead ƒe viŋutsuwo kple woƒe hlɔ̃woe nye esiawo. Yezer, ame si dzi Yezer hlɔ̃ la, Helek, ame si dzi Helek hlɔ̃ la,
31 These [are] the families of Aser according to their numbering, forty-three thousand and four hundred.
Asriel, ame si dzi Asriel hlɔ̃ la, Sekem, ame si dzi Sekem hlɔ̃ la,
32 The sons of Joseph according to their families, Manasse and Ephraim.
Semida, ame si dzi Semida hlɔ̃ la, Hefer, ame si dzi Hefer hlɔ̃ la,
33 The sons of Manasse. To Machir the family of the Machirites; and Machir begot Galaad: to Galaad, the family of the Galaadites.

34 And these [are] the sons of Galaad; to Achiezer, the family of the Achiezerites; to Cheleg, the family of the Chelegites.
Esiawoe nye Manase ƒe hlɔ̃metɔwo, ame siwo ƒe xexlẽme le ame akpe blaatɔ̃ vɔ eve alafa adre.
35 To Esriel, the family of the Esrielites; to Sychem, the family of the Sychemites.
Efraim ƒe viŋutsuwo kple hlɔ̃ siwo dzɔ tso wo me la woe nye: Sutela, ame si dzi Sutela hlɔ̃ la, Beker, ame si dzi Beker hlɔ̃ la, Tahan, ame si dzi Tahan hlɔ̃ la.
36 To Symaer, the family of the Symaerites; and to Opher, the family of the Opherites.
Sutela vi nye Eran, ame si dzi Eran hlɔ̃ la.
37 And to Salpaad the son of Opher there were no sons, but daughters: and these [were] the names of the daughters of Salpaad; Mala, and Nua, and Egla, and Melcha, and Thersa.

38 These [are] the families of Manasse according to their numbering, fifty-two thousand and seven hundred.
Benyamin ƒe viŋutsuwo kple hlɔ̃ siwo dzɔ tso wo me la woe nye: Bela, ame si dzi Bela hlɔ̃ la, Asbel, ame si dzi Asbel hlɔ̃ la, Ahiram, ame si dzi Ahiram hlɔ̃ la,
39 And these [are] the children of Ephraim; to Suthala, the family of the Suthalanites; to Tanach, the family of the Tanachites.

40 These [are] the sons of Suthala; to Eden, the family of the Edenites.

41 These [are] the families of Ephraim according to their numbering, thirty-two thousand and five hundred: these [are] the families of the children of Joseph according to their families.
Esiawoe nye Benyamin ƒe hlɔ̃metɔwo, ame siwo ƒe xexlẽme nye ame akpe blaene-vɔ-atɔ̃ alafa ade.
42 The sons of Benjamin according to their families; to Bale, the family of the Balites; to Asyber, the family of the Asyberites; to Jachiran, the family of the Jachiranites.
Dan viwoe nye esi le woƒe ƒome nu: Suham, ame si dzi Suham hlɔ̃ la. Esiae nye Dan ƒe hlɔ̃wo:
43 To Sophan, the family of the Sophanites.
Wo katã nye Suham hlɔ̃ si ƒe xexlẽme nye ame akpe blaade-vɔ-ene, alafa ene.
44 And the sons of Bale were Adar and Noeman; to Adar, the family of the Adarites; and to Noeman, the family of the Noemanites.
Aser ƒe viŋutsuwo kple woƒe hlɔ̃woe nye: Imna, ame si dzi Imna hlɔ̃ la, Isvi, ame si dzi Isvi hlɔ̃ la, Beria, ame si dzi Beria hlɔ̃ la.
45 These [are] the sons of Benjamin by their families according to their numbering, thirty-five thousand and five hundred.
Woma Beria hlɔ̃ la ɖe akpa eve me: Heber hlɔ̃ si dzɔ tso Beria ƒe viŋutsu Heber me, Malxiel hlɔ̃ si dzɔ tso Beria ƒe vi Malxiel me.
46 And the sons of Dan according to their families; to Same, the family of the Sameites; these [are] the families of Dan according to their families.

47 All the families of Samei according to their numbering, sixty-four thousand and four hundred.

48 The sons of Nephthali according to their families; to Asiel, the family of the Asielites; to Gauni, the family of the Gaunites.
Naftali ƒe viŋutsuwo kple woƒe hlɔ̃woe nye: Yahzil, ame si dzi Yahzil hlɔ̃ la, Guni, ame si dzi Guni hlɔ̃ la,
49 To Jeser, the family of the Jeserites; to Sellem, the family of the Sellemites.
Yezer, ame si dzi Yezer hlɔ̃ la, Silem, ame si dzi Silem hlɔ̃ la.
50 These [are] the families of Nephthali, according to their numbering, forty thousand and three hundred.

51 This [is] the numbering of the children of Israel, six hundred and one thousand and seven hundred and thirty.

52 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Azɔ Yehowa gblɔ na Mose be,
53 To these the land shall be divided, so that they may inherit according to the number of the names.
“Wòama anyigba la ɖe to vovovoawo dome le toawo me tɔwo ƒe agbɔsɔsɔ nu, abe ale si amexexlẽ la fia ene.
54 To the greater number you shall give the greater inheritance, and to the less number you shall give the less inheritance: to each one, as they have been numbered, shall their inheritance be given.

55 The land shall be divided to the names by lot, they shall inherit according to the tribes of their families.
Yehowa ɖo na Mose be, Kpɔ egbɔ be yewodzidze nu hafi ma anyigba la, eye woaxɔ domenyinu ɖe wo fofowo ƒe towo ƒe ŋkɔ nu.
56 You shall divide their inheritance by lot between the many and the few.
Woama domenyinu ɖe sia ɖe to akɔdada me ɖe to gãwo kple to suewo siaa dome.”
57 And the sons of Levi according to their families; to Gedson, the family of the Gedsonites; to Caath, the family of the Caathites; to Merari, the family of the Merarites.
Levi ƒe viwo ƒe hlɔ̃ siwo me woxlẽ ame le le amexexlẽa me la kple ame siwo me wodzɔ tso la woe nye: Gerson dzi Gerson hlɔ̃; Kohat dzi Kohat hlɔ̃; Merari dzi Merari hlɔ̃.
58 These [are] the families of the sons of Levi; the family of the Lobenites, the family of the Chebronites, the family of the Coreites, and the family of the Musites; and Caath begot Amram.
Levi ƒomea me tɔwoe nye, Libni ƒomea, Hebroni ƒomea, Mahli ƒomea, Musi ƒomea kple Korah ƒomea. (Kohat nye Amram tɔgbui.
59 And the name of his wife [was] Jochabed, daughter of Levi, who bore these to Levi in Egypt, and she bore to Amram, Aaron and Moses, and Mariam their sister.

60 And to Aaron were born both Nadab and Abiud, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.

61 And Nadab and Abiud died when they offered strange fire before the Lord in the wilderness of Sina.

62 And there were according to their numbering, twenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and upward; for they were not numbered amongst the children of Israel, because they have no inheritance in the midst of the children of Israel.
Levi ƒe vi siwo katã woxlẽ wonye ŋutsuwo, eye woxɔ ɣleti ɖeka alo wu nenema la de ame akpe blaeve-vɔ-etɔ̃. Ke womebu Levi ƒe viwo de Israelviwo ƒe amexexlẽ ƒe nukpɔkpɔ blibo la me o, elabena womena anyigba Levi ƒe viwo esi woma anyigba ɖe toawo dome o.
63 And this [is] the numbering of Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in Araboth of Moab, at Jordan by Jericho.

64 And amongst these there was not a man numbered by Moses and Aaron, whom, [even] the children of Israel, they numbered in the wilderness of Sinai.

65 For the Lord said to them, They shall surely die in the wilderness; and there was not left even one of them, except Chaleb the son of Jephonne, and Joshua the [son] of Naue.
