Numbers 14
1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice and cried; and the people wept all that night.
၁ထိုအခါ ပရိသတ်အပေါင်းတို့သည် အသံကို လွှင့်၍ မြည်တမ်းသဖြင့်၊ တညဉ့်လုံး ငိုကြွေးကြ၏။
2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron; and all the congregation said to them,
၂ဣသရေလအမျိုးသား ပရိသတ်အပေါင်းတို့ သည်၊ မောရှေနှင့် အာရုန်ကို အပြစ်တင်သော စကားနှင့် မြည်တမ်းလျက်၊ ငါတို့သည် အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်၌ မသေပါလေ။ ဤတော၌ မသေပါလေ။
3 Would we had died in the land of Egypt! or in this wilderness, would we had died! and why does the Lord bring us into this land to fall in war? our wives and our children shall be for a prey: now then it is better to return into Egypt.
၃ငါတို့သည် ထားဖြင့်သေ၍ သားမယားတို့သည် ရန်သူလက်သို့ ရောက်စေခြင်းငှါ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် အဘယ်ကြောင့် ငါတို့ကို ဤအရပ်သို့ ဆောင်ခဲ့တော်မူသနည်း။ အဲဂုတ္တု ပြည်သို့ပြန်ကောင်းသည်မဟုတ်လောဟု မောရှေနှင့် အာရုန်အားဆိုပြီးမှ၊
4 And they said one to another, Let us make a ruler, and return into Egypt.
၄တဖန် လူတစုံတယောက်ကိုချီးမြှောက်၍၊ အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်သို့ ပြန်ကြစို့ဟု တယောက်ကို တယောက် ဆိုကြ၏။
5 And Moses and Aaron fell upon their face before all the congregation of the children of Israel.
၅မောရှေနှင့် အာရုန်တို့သည် ဣသရေလအမျိုး သားပရိသတ်အပေါင်းတို့ရှေ့မှာ ပြပ်ဝပ်လျက် နေကြ၏။
6 But Joshua the [son] of Naue, and Chaleb the [son] of Jephonne, of [the number of] them that spied out the land, tore their garments,
၆ခါနာန်ပြည်ကို စူးစမ်းသောလူစုထဲက နုန်၏ သားယောရှု၊ ယေဖုန္နာ၏သားကာလတ်တို့သည် မိမိတို့ဝတ်ကို ဆုတ်၍၊
7 and spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, The land which we surveyed is indeed extremely good.
၇ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားအပေါင်းတို့အား ခေါ် လျက်၊ ငါတို့ရှောက် သွား၍စူးစမ်းသော ပြည်သည် အလွန်တရာကောင်းသော ပြည်ဖြစ်ပါ၏။
8 If the Lord choose us, he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which flows with milk and honey.
၈ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ငါတို့ကိုနှစ်သက်လျှင်၊ နို့နှင့် ပျားရည်စီးသော ထိုပြည်သို့ ငါတို့ကို ဆောင်သွင်း၍ အပိုင်ပေးတော်မူလိမ့်မည်။
9 Only depart not from the Lord; and fear you not the people of the land, for they are meat for us; for the season [of prosperity] is departed from them, but the Lord [is] amongst us: fear them not.
၉ထာဝရဘုရားကို မပုန်ကန်ကြပါနှင့်။ ထိုပြည်သူ ပြည်သားတို့ကို မကြောက်ကြနှင့်။ သူတို့သည် ငါတို့ စား စရာဘို့ဖြစ်ကြ၏။ သူတို့၌ အမှီတကဲမရှိ။ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ငါတို့ဘက်၌ ရှိတော်မူ၏။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ သူတို့ကို မကြောက်ကြနှင့်ဟု ပြောဆိုကြလေသော်။
10 And all the congregation bade stone them with stones; and the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud on the tabernacle of witness to all the children of Israel.
၁၀ပရိသတ်အပေါင်းတို့သည် ထိုသူနှစ်ယောက်ကို ကျောက်ခဲနှင့် ပစ်စေခြင်းငှါ စီရင်ကြ၏။ ထိုအခါထာဝရ ဘုရား၏ဘုန်းတော်သည် ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားအပေါင်း တို့ ရှေ့မှာ ပရိသတ်စည်းဝေးရာ တဲတော်၌ ထင်ရှားလေ ၏။
11 And the Lord said to Moses, How long does this people provoke me? and how long do they refuse to believe me for all the signs which I have wrought amongst them?
၁၁ထာဝရဘုရားကလည်း၊ ဤလူမျိုးသည် အဘယ် မျှကာလပတ်လုံး ငါ့ကို မရိုမသေပြုကြလိမ့်မည်နည်း။ သူတို့၌ ငါပြခဲ့ပြီးသမျှသော နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာတို့ကို မြင်ရ သော်လည်း အဘယ်မျှ ကာလပတ်လုံးငါ့ကို မယုံဘဲ နေကြလိမ့်မည်နည်း။
12 I will strike them with death, and destroy them; and I will make of you and of your father's house a great nation, and much greater than this.
၁၂သူတို့ကိုကာလနာဘေးဖြင့် ငါသည် ဒဏ်ခတ်၍ သား၏ အရာကိုနှုတ်မည်။ သူတို့ထက် သင့်ကိုသာ၍ စည်ပင်သောအမျိုး၊ သာ၍ တန်ခိုးကြီးသောအမျိုး ဖြစ်စေမည်ဟု မောရှေအား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
13 And Moses said to the Lord, So Egypt shall hear, for you have brought up this people from them by your might.
၁၃မောရှေကလည်း၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ဤလူမျိုးကို တန်ခိုးတော်အားဖြင့် အဲဂုတ္တုလူတို့ထဲက နှုတ်ဆောင်ခဲ့ တော်မူသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ နောက်တဖန် ဤသိတင်းကို အဲဂုတ္တု လူတို့သည် ကြားပြန်လျှင်၊
14 Moreover all the dwellers upon this land have heard that you are Lord in the midst of this people, who, O Lord, are seen [by them] face to face, and your cloud rests upon them, and you go before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, and by night in a pillar of fire.
၁၄ဤပြည်၌ နေသောသူတို့အား သိတင်းပြောကြ လိမ့်မည်။ ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ဤလူမျိုး၌ ရှိတော်မူကြောင်းကို၎င်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ထင်ရှားတော်မူကြောင်းကို၎င်း၊ မိုဃ်းတိမ်တောသည် သူတို့ကို လွှမ်းမိုးကြောင်းကို၎င်း။ ကိုယ်တော်သည် နေ့ အချိန်၌ မိုဃ်းတိမ်တိုင်၊ ညဉ့်အချိန်၌ မီးတိုင်ဖြင့် သူတို့ ရှေ့က ကြွတော်မူကြောင်းကို၎င်း ကြားရကြပြီ။
15 And [if] you shall destroy this nation as one man; then all the nations that have heard your name shall speak, saying,
၁၅ယခုမှာ၊ ဤလူမျိုးကို လူတယောက်ကဲ့သို့မှတ်၍ သုတ်သင်ပယ်ရှင်းတော်မူလျှင်၊ သိတင်းတော်ကို ကြားဘူး သော လူအမျိုးမျိုးတို့က၊
16 Because the Lord could not bring this people into the land which he sware to them, he has overthrown them in the wilderness.
၁၆ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ထိုလူတို့အား ဤမည်သော ပြည်ကို ငါပေးမည်ဟု ကျိန်ဆိုသော်လည်း၊ ထိုပြည်သို့ သူတို့ကို ဆောင်သွင်းခြင်းငှါ မတတ်နိုင်သောကြောင့်၊ တော၌ သုတ်သင်ပယ်ရှင်းပြီဟု ပြောဆိုကြပါလိမ့် မည်။
17 And now, O Lord, let your strength be exalted, as you spoke, saying,
၁၇ကိုယ်တော်က၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည်သည်းခံသောသဘော၊ သနားသောသဘောနှင့် ပြည့်စုံတော်မူထသော၊ အဓမ္မကျင့်ခြင်း၊ တရားတော်ကို လွန်ကျူးခြင်း အပြစ်တို့ကို ဖြေလွှတ်သော်လည်း၊ အချည်းနှီး သက်သက်ဖြေလွှတ် တော်မမူထသော လူအစဉ်အဆက်၊ တတိယအဆက်၊ စတုတ္တအဆက်တိုင်အောင်၊
18 The Lord [is] longsuffering and merciful, and true, removing transgressions and iniquities and sins, and he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the sins of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation.
၁၈အဘတို့၏ အပြစ်ကိုသားတို့၌ ဆပ်ပေးစီရင်တော်မူသောဘုရားသခင်ဖြစ်၏ဟု မိန့်တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့၏ဘုရားရှင် တန်ခိုးတော်သည် ကြီးပါစေသော။
19 Forgive this people their sin according to your great mercy, as you were favourable to them from Egypt until now.
၁၉အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်ကထွက်သော နေ့မှစ၍ ယခုတိုင်အောင် ဤလူမျိုး၏အပြစ်ကို လွှတ်တော်မူသည်။ နည်းတူ ကရုဏာတော်များပြားသည်နှင့်အညီ ယခုလည်း လွှတ်တော်မူပါ။ အကျွန်ုပ်တောင်းပန်ပါ၏ဟု ထာဝရဘုရား အား လျှောက်ဆိုလျှင်၊
20 And the Lord said to Moses, I am gracious to them according to your word.
၂၀ထာဝရဘုရားက၊ သင်တောင်းပန်သည်အတိုင်း ငါလွှတ်၏။
21 But [as] I live and my name is living, so the glory of the Lord shall fill all the earth.
၂၁ငါအသက်ရှင်သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ဘုန်းတော်သည် မြေတပြင်လုံး၌ နှံ့ပြားလိမ့်မည်။
22 For all the men who see my glory, and the signs which I wrought in Egypt, and in the wilderness, and have tempted me this tenth time, and have not listened to my voice,
၂၂ငါ့ဘုန်းတော်ကို၎င်း၊ အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်မှစ၍ ဤ တော၌ ထူးဆန်းသော တန်ခိုးတော်ကို၎င်း မြင်ရသော လူအပေါင်းတို့သည်၊ ငါ့စကားကိုနားမထောင်၊ ဆယ်ကြိမ် တိုင်အောင် ငါ့ကိုစုံစမ်းသောကြောင့်၊
23 surely they shall not see the land, which I sware to their fathers; but their children which are with me here, as many as know not good or evil, every inexperienced youth, to them will I give the land; but none who have provoked me shall see it.
၂၃သူတို့ဘိုးဘေးတို့အား ငါကျိန်ဆိသောပြည်ကို အကယ်စင်စစ် သူတို့သည်မမြင်ရကြ။ ငါ့ကိုမရိုမသေပြု သော သူတစုံတယောက်မျှ မမြင်ရ။
24 But my servant Chaleb, because there was another spirit in him, and he followed me, I will bring him into the land into which he entered, and his seed shall inherit it.
၂၄ငါ့ကျွန်ကာလက်မူ ကား ထူးခြားသော သဘောရှိ၍၊ ငါ့နောက်သို့ လုံးလုံး လိုက်သောကြောင့် သူသွားခဲ့ပြီးသောပြည်သို့ သူ့ကို ငါဆောင်သွင်းသဖြင့် သူ၏သားမြေးတို့သည် အမွေခံရကြ လိမ့်မည်။
25 But Amalec and the Chananite dwell in the valley: to-morrow turn and depart for the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea.
၂၅အာမလက်အမျိုးသားနှင့် ခါနာန်အမျိုးသားတို့သည် ချိုင့်မှာနေကြသည်ဖြစ်၍ သင်တို့သည် နက်ဖြန်နေ့ ၌လှည့် လည်၍ ဧဒုံပင်လယ်လမ်းဖြင့် တောသို့သွားကြလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
26 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,
၂၆တဖန်ထာဝရဘုရားသည် မောရှေနှင့် အာရုန် အား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊
27 How long [shall I endure] this wicked congregation? I have heard their murmurings against me, [even] the murmuring of the children of Israel, which they have murmured concerning you.
၂၇ငါ့ကို အပြစ်တင်၍၊ ကာလပတ်လုံး ဤပရိသတ် ဆိုးတို့ကို အဘယ်မျှကာလပတ်လုံး ငါသည် သည်းခံရ အံ့နည်း။ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့သည် ငါ့ကိုအပြစ်တင် ၍ မြည်တမ်းသော စကားတို့ကို ငါကြားရပြီ။
28 Say to them, [As] I live, says the Lord: surely as you spoke into my ears, so will I do to you.
၂၈သင်သည် သူတို့အား ဆင့်ဆိုရမည်မှာ၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရားက ငါအသက်ရှင်သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ကို ကြားစေခြင်းငှါ ပြောကြသော စကားအတိုင်း သင်တို့ကို ငါပြုမည်။
29 Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all those of you that were reviewed, and those of you that were numbered from twenty years old and upward, all that murmured against me,
၂၉သင်တို့ကို ရေတွက်၍ စာရင်းယူသည်အတိုင်း၊ အသက်နှစ်ဆယ်လွန်သောသူ၊ ငါ့ကို အပြစ်တင်၍ မြည် တမ်းသောသူအပေါင်းတို့သည် သေ၍ ဤတော၌ အသေ ကောင်ဖြစ်လျက် နေရစ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။
30 you shall not enter into the land for which I stretched out my hand to establish you upon it; except only Chaleb the son of Jephonne, and Joshua the [son] of Naue.
၃၀ငါသည် ဤမည်သောပြည်၌ သင်တို့ကို နေရာ ချမည်ဟု ငါကျိန်ဆို၏။ ထိုပြည်သို့ ယေဖုန္နာ၏သား ကာလက်၊ နုန်၏သားယောရှုမှ တပါးအဘယ်သူမျှ မရောက်ရ။
31 And your little ones, who you said should be a prey, them will I bring into the land; and they shall inherit the land, which you rejected.
၃၁ရန်သူလုယူရာ ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်ဟု သင်တို့ဆိုသော သူငယ်တို့ကို ငါဆောင်သွင်း၍ သင်တို့ပယ်သောပြည်ကို သူတို့သည်သိရကြလိမ့်မည်။
32 And your carcases shall fall in this wilderness.
၃၂သင်တို့မူကား၊ ဤတော၌သေ၍ အသေကောင် ဖြစ်လျက်၊ နေရစ်ရကြလိမ့်မည်။
33 And your sons shall be fed in the wilderness forty years, and they shall bear your fornication, until your carcases be consumed in the wilderness.
၃၃ဤတော၌ သင်တို့အသေကောင်များ ပျောက် ပျက်သည်တိုင်အောင်၊ ကိုယ်သားသမီးတို့သည် မိဘ မှားယွင်းခြင်းအပြစ်များကို ဆောင်၍၊ ဤတော၌ အနှစ် လေးဆယ်ပတ်လုံး လှည့်လည်ရကြလိမ့်မည်။
34 According to the number of the days during which you spied the land, forty days, a day for a year, you shall bear your sins forty years, and you shall know my fierce anger.
၃၄ထိုပြည်ကို စူးစမ်းရာ နေ့ရက်ပေါင်းအရက် လေးဆယ်နှင့်အညီ၊ တရက်ကို တနှစ်ထား၍ အနှစ် လေးဆယ်ပတ်လုံး ကိုယ်အပြစ်ကိုဆောင်လျက်၊ ငါ့စွန့်ပစ် ခြင်းကို သိရကြလိမ့်မည်။
35 I the Lord have spoken, Surely will I do thus to this evil congregation that has risen up together against me: in this wilderness they shall be utterly consumed, and there they shall die.
၃၅အကယ်စင်စစ် ငါတဘက၌ စည်းဝေးသော ဤပရိသတ်ဆိုးအပေါင်းတို့ကို ထိုသို့ငါပြု၍ သူတို့သည် ဤတော၌ သေကြပျောက်ပျက်ကြ လိမ့်မည်ဟု ငါထာဝရ ဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
36 And the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land, and who came and murmured against it to the assembly so as to bring out evil words concerning the land, —
၃၆မောရှေစေလွှတ်သော အခွင့်နှင့် ခါနာန်ပြည်ကို စူးစမ်း၍ ပြန်လာသောအခါ၊ ထိုပြည်ကို ကဲ့ရဲ့သဖြင့် ပရိသတ်အပေါင်းမြည်တမ်းစေခြင်းငှါတိုက်တွန်းသောသူ၊
37 the men that spoke evil reports against the land, even died of the plague before the Lord.
၃၇ခါနာန်ပြည်ကို မကောင်းသောသိတင်း ကြား ပြောသော သူတို့သည်၊ ထာဝရဘုရားရှေ့တော်၌ ကာလ နာဘေးနှင့် သေကြလေ၏။
38 And Joshua the son of Naue and Chaleb the son of Jephonne [still] lived of those men that went to spy out the land.
၃၈ထိုပြည်ကို စူးစမ်း၍ သွားသောလူတို့တွင် နုန်၏ သား ယောရှုနှင့် ယေဖုန္န၏သား ကာလက်တို့သာ အသက်ချမ်းသာရကြ၏။
39 And Moses spoke these words to all the children of Israel; and the people mourned exceedingly.
၃၉မောရှေသည် ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားအပေါင်းတို့ အား စကားတော်များကို ဆင့်ဆိုသောအခါ၊ လူများတို့ သည် အလွန်ညည်းတွားလျက် နေကြ၏။
40 And they rose early in the morning and went up to the top of the mountain, saying, Behold, we that are here will go up to the place of which the Lord has spoken, because we have sinned.
၄၀နံနက်စောစောထ၍ တောင်ထိပ်ပေါ်သို့တက်ပြီး လျှင် ငါတို့သည် ပြစ်မှားပြီ။ သို့သော်လည်း ယခုအသင့် ရှိပါ၏။ ထာဝရဘုရား ဂတိထားတော်မူသောပြည်သို့ သွားပါမည်ဟုဆိုကြသော်၊
41 And Moses said, Why do you transgress the word of the Lord? you shall not prosper.
၄၁မောရှေက၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ အမိန့်တော်ကို အဘယ်ကြောင့် လွန်ကျူးကြသနည်း။ သင်တို့အကြံမထ မြောက်ရ။
42 Go not up, for the Lord is not with you; so shall you fall before the face of your enemies.
၄၂မသွားကြနှင့်၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် သင်တို့ဘက် ၌ရှိတော်မမူ။ သွားလျှင် ရန်သူရှေ့မှာ ရှုံးရကြလိမ့်မည်။
43 For Amalec and the Chananite [are] there before you, and you shall fall by the sword; because you have disobeyed the Lord and turned aside, and the Lord will not be amongst you.
၄၃အာမလက်အမျိုးသားနှင့် ခါနာန်အမျိုးသားတို့ သည် သင်တို့မရောက်မှီရောက်နှင့်သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ သင်တို့ သည် ထားဖြင့်ဆုံးကြလိမ့်မည်။ ထာဝရဘုရားထံတော်မှ လွှဲသွားသောကြောင့် ထာဝရဘုရားသည် သင်တို့ဘက်၌ နေတော်မမူဟုဆိုသော်လည်း၊
44 And having forced their passage, they went up to the top of the mountain; but the ark of the covenant of the Lord and Moses stirred not out of the camp.
၄၄သူတို့သည်ခိုင်ခံ့သောစိတ်နှင့် တောင်ထိပ်ထက် သို့ တဖန်တက်ကြ၏။ သို့ရာတွင်၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ပဋိညာဉ်သေတ္တာတော်နှင့်တကွ၊ မောရှေသည် တပ်ပြင် သို့ မထွက်မသွားဘဲ နေလေ၏။
45 And Amalec and the Chananite that lived in that mountain came down, and routed them, and destroyed them to Herman; and they returned to the camp.
၄၅ထိုအခါ တောင်ပေါ်မှာရှိနှင့်သော အာမလက်အမျိုးသားနှင့် ခါနာန်အမျိုးသားတို့သည် ဆင်းလာလျက်၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့ကို တိုက်၍ အောင်သဖြင့် ဟောမာမြို့တိုင်အောင် လိုက်ကြလေ၏။
