Numbers 10
1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
૧યહોવાહ મૂસાને કહ્યું કે,
2 Make to yourself two silver trumpets: you shall make them of beaten work; and they shall be to you for the purpose of calling the assembly, and of removing the camps.
૨“તું પોતાને માટે ચાંદીનાં બે રણશિંગડાં બનાવ અને તે ઘડતર કામના બનાવ. અને તું પ્રજાને બોલાવવાના તથા છાવણીમાંથી ચાલી નીકળવાના કામમાં લે.
3 And you shall sound with them, and all the congregation shall be gathered to the door of the tabernacle of witness.
૩જે સમયે બન્ને રણશિંગડા વગાડવામાં આવે, ત્યારે સમગ્ર સમાજે મુલાકાતમંડપના પ્રવેશદ્વાર આગળ તમારી સમક્ષ એકત્ર થવું.
4 And if they shall sound with one, all the rulers even the princes of Israel shall come to you.
૪પરંતુ જો યાજક એક જ રણશિંગડું વગાડે તો આગેવાનો, ઇઝરાયલકુળના મુખ્ય પુરુષો તારી સમક્ષ એકઠા થાય.
5 And you shall sound an alarm, and the camps pitched eastward shall begin to move.
૫જ્યારે તમે ભયસૂચક રણશિંગડું વગાડો ત્યારે પૂર્વ દિશામાં નાખેલી છાવણીઓએ કૂચ કરવી.
6 And you shall sound a second alarm, and the camps pitched southward shall move; and you shall sound a third alarm, and the camps pitched westward shall move forward; and you shall sound a fourth alarm, and they that encamp towards the north shall move forward: they shall sound an alarm at their departure.
૬બીજી વખતે રણશિંગડાં મોટા અવાજે વાગે, ત્યારે દક્ષિણ દિશામાંની છાવણીએ કૂચ કરવી. આમ મુકામ ઉઠાવવાના સંકેત તરીકે રણશિંગડું મોટા અવાજે વગાડવું.
7 And whenever you shall gather the assembly, you shall sound, but not an alarm.
૭પણ ઇઝરાયલ સમાજને સભા માટે એકત્ર થવા જણાવવું હોય તો રણશિંગડું એકધારું વગાડવું.
8 And the priests the sons of Aaron shall sound with the trumpets; and it shall be a perpetual ordinance for you throughout your generations.
૮હારુનના વંશજોએ એટલે કે યાજકોએ જ રણશિંગડાં વગાડવાનાં છે. આ કાયમી કાનૂનનો અમલ તમારે પેઢી દરપેઢી કરવાનો છે.
9 And if you shall go forth to war in your land against your enemies that are opposed to you, then shall you sound with the trumpets; and you shall be had in remembrance before the Lord, and you shall be saved from your enemies.
૯અને જ્યારે તમે પોતાનાં દેશમાં તમારા પર જુલમ કરનારા દુશ્મનો સાથે યુદ્ધ કરવા જાઓ ત્યારે ભયસૂચક રણશિંગડાં વગાડો. યહોવાહ રણશિંગડાંનો અવાજ સાંભળશે, તમને યાદ કરશે અને તમને તમારા દુશ્મનોથી બચાવશે.
10 And in the days of your gladness, and in your feasts, and in your new moons, you shall sound with the trumpets at your whole burnt offerings, and at the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; and there shall be a memorial for you before your God: I [am] the Lord your God.
૧૦વળી, તમારા ઉત્સવો વખતે, તમારા ઠરાવેલ પર્વોએ અને તમારા મહિનાઓના આરંભમાં તમે તમારા દહનીયાર્પણો તેમ જ શાંત્યર્પણો પર રણશિંગડું વગાડો. અને તેઓ તમારા ઈશ્વરની હજૂરમાં તમારે માટે સ્મરણાર્થે થશે. હું યહોવાહ તમારો ઈશ્વર છું.”
11 And it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud went up from the tabernacle of witness.
૧૧અને બીજા વર્ષના બીજા મહિનાના વીસમા દિવસે સાક્ષ્યોના મંડપ ઉપરથી મેઘ ઊપડ્યો.
12 And the children of Israel set forward with their baggage in the wilderness of Sina; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Pharan.
૧૨અને ઇઝરાયલપ્રજાએ સિનાઈના અરણ્યમાંથી પોતાની મુસાફરી શરૂ કરી અને મેઘ પારાનના અરણ્યમાં થોભ્યો.
13 And the first rank departed by the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
૧૩મૂસાને યહોવાહ તરફથી અપાયેલી આજ્ઞા મુજબ તેઓએ પોતાની પ્રથમ યાત્રા શરૂ કરી.
14 And they first set in motion the order of the camp of the children of Juda with their host; and over their host [was] Naasson, son of Aminadab.
૧૪અને યહૂદાપુત્રોની પહેલી છાવણીની ધજા પોતાનાં સૈન્ય મુજબ ચાલી નીકળી. અને તેના સૈન્યોનો આગેવાન આમ્મીનાદાબનો દીકરો નાહશોન હતો.
15 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Issachar, [was] Nathanael son of Sogar.
૧૫ઇસ્સાખારના દીકરાઓના કુળના સૈન્યનો આગેવાન સુઆરનો દીકરો નથાનએલ હતો.
16 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Zabulon, [was] Eliab the son of Chaelon.
૧૬અને ઝબુલોનના દીકરાઓના કુળનો સૈન્યનો ઉપરી હેલોનનો દીકરો અલિયાબ હતો.
17 And they shall take down the tabernacle, and the sons of Gedson shall set forward, and the sons of Merari, who bear the tabernacle.
૧૭ત્યાર પછી મંડપ ઉપાડવામાં આવ્યો એટલે ગેર્શોનના દીકરા તથા મરારીના દીકરાઓ મંડપ ઊંચકીને ચાલી નીકળ્યા.
18 And the order of the camp of Ruben set forward with their host; and over their host [was] Elisur the son of Sediur.
૧૮તે પછી, રુબેનની છાવણીની ધજા પોતાનાં સૈન્ય મુજબ ચાલી નીકળી. અને તેના સૈન્યનો ઊપરી શદેઉરનો દીકરો અલીસૂર હતો.
19 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Symeon, [was] Salamiel son of Surisadai.
૧૯અને શિમયોનનો દીકરાના કુળના સૈન્યનો ઉપરી સૂરીશાદ્દાયનો દીકરો શલુમિયેલ હતો.
20 And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad, [was] Elisaph the son of Raguel.
૨૦અને ગાદના દીકરાઓના કુળના સૈન્યનો ઉપરી દુએલનો દીકરો એલિયાસાફ હતો.
21 And the sons of Caath shall set forward bearing the holy things, and [the others] shall set up the tabernacle until they arrive.
૨૧અને કહાથીઓ પવિત્રસ્થાનમાંની સાધનસામગ્રી ઊંચકીને ચાલ્યા. તેઓ જઈ પહોંચે તે અગાઉ બીજાઓએ મંડપને ઊભો કર્યો.
22 And the order of the camp of Ephraim shall set forward with their forces; and over their forces [was] Elisama the son of Semiud.
૨૨પછી એફ્રાઇમના દીકરાઓની છાવણીની ધજા પોતાનાં સૈન્ય મુજબ ચાલી નીકળી અને તેના સૈન્ય પર આમ્મીહૂદનો દીકરો અલિશામા હતો.
23 And over the forces of the tribes of the sons of Manasse, [was] Gamaliel the [son] of Phadassur.
૨૩અને મનાશ્શાના દીકરાઓના કુળના સૈન્યનો ઉપરી પદાહસૂરનો દીકરો ગમાલ્યેલ હતો.
24 And over the forces of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, [was] Abidan the [son] of Gadeoni.
૨૪અને બિન્યામીનના દીકરાના કુળના સૈન્યનો ઉપરી ગિદિયોનીનો દીકરો અબીદાન હતો.
25 And the order of the camp of the sons of Dan shall set forward the last of all the camps, with their forces: and over their forces [was] Achiezer the [son] of Amisadai.
૨૫પછી દાનના દીકરાઓની છાવણીની ધજા તેમનાં સૈન્ય મુજબ ચાલી નીકળી. બધી છાવણીઓના સૈન્યમાં તે સૌથી પાછળ હતી. અને તેનાં સૈન્યનો ઉપરી આમ્મીશાદ્દાયનો દીકરો અહીએઝેર હતો.
26 And over the forces of the tribe of the sons of Aser, [was] Phageel the son of Echran.
૨૬અને આશેરના દીકરાઓના કુળના સૈન્યનો ઉપરી ઓક્રાનનો દીકરા પાગિયેલ હતો.
27 And over the forces of the tribe of the sons of Nephthali, [was] Achire the son of Aenan.
૨૭અને નફતાલીના દીકરાઓના કુળના સૈન્યનો ઉપરી એનાનનો દીકરો અહીરા હતો.
28 These [are] the armies of the children of Israel; and they set forward with their forces.
૨૮ઇઝરાયલપ્રજાના સૈન્યોની કૂચનો ક્રમ આ મુજબ હતો. અને તેઓએ કૂચ આરંભી.
29 And Moses said to Obab the son of Raguel the Madianite, the father-in-law of Moses, We are going forward to the place concerning which the Lord said, This will I give to you: Come with us, and we will do you good, for the Lord has spoken good concerning Israel.
૨૯અને મૂસાના સસરા મિદ્યાની રેઉએલના દીકરા હોબાબ સાથે મૂસાએ વાત કરી. દુએલ એ મૂસાની પત્નીનો પિતા હતો. મૂસાએ હોબાબને કહ્યું કે, “જે જગ્યા વિષે યહોવાહે અમને કહ્યું છે ત્યાં જવા માટે આપણે મુસાફરી કરીએ છીએ. યહોવાહે કહ્યું છે કે, ‘હું તમને તે આપીશ.’ અમારી સાથે ચાલો અને અમે તમારું ભલું કરીશું. કેમ કે યહોવાહે ઇઝરાયલનું ભલું કરવાનું વચન આપ્યું છે.”
30 And he said to him, I will not go, but [I will go] to my land and to my kindred.
૩૦પણ હોબાબે મૂસાને ઉત્તર આપ્યો કે, “હું તમારી સાથે નહિ આવું. હું તો મારા પોતાના દેશમાં મારાં સગાઓ પાસે જઈશ.”
31 And he said, Leave us not, because you have been with us in the wilderness, and you shall be an elder amongst us.
૩૧મૂસાએ જવાબ આપ્યો કે, “કૃપા કરી અમને છોડીને ન જઈશ. કેમ કે અરણ્યમાં અમારે કેવી રીતે છાવણી કરવી તે તું જાણે છે અને તું અમારે માટે આંખોની ગરજ સારે છે.
32 And it shall come to pass if you will go with us, it shall even come to pass that in whatever things the Lord shall do us good, we will also do you good.
૩૨અને જો તું અમારી સાથે આવશે તો એમ થશે કે, યહોવાહ અમારું જે કંઈ ભલું કરશે તેમ અમે તમારું ભલું કરીશું.”
33 And they departed from the mount of the Lord a three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them a three days' journey to provide rest for them.
૩૩અને તેઓએ યહોવાહના પર્વતથી નીકળી ત્રણ દિવસ યાત્રા કરી. તે ત્રણે દિવસ દરમ્યાન યહોવાહનો કરારકોશ તેમને માટે વિશ્રામસ્થાનની જગ્યા શોધવા તેઓની આગળ ચાલ્યો.
34 And the cloud overshadowed them by day, when they departed from the camp.
૩૪અને દિવસે તેઓ છાવણીમાંથી ચાલી નીકળતા. ત્યારે યહોવાહનો મેઘસ્તંભ તેઓના ઉપર રહેતો.
35 And it came to pass when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Arise, O Lord, and let your enemies be scattered: let all that hate you flee.
૩૫અને જ્યારે કરારકોશ ચાલી નીકળતો ત્યારે એમ થતું કે, મૂસા કહેતો, “હે યહોવાહ, તમે ઊઠો અને તમારા શત્રુઓને વેરવિખેર કરી નાખો, અને તમારો તિરસ્કાર કરનારને દૂર કરો.”
36 And in the resting he said, Turn again, O Lord, the thousands [and] tens of thousands in Israel.
૩૬અને જ્યારે કરારકોશ થોભતો ત્યારે મૂસા કહેતો કે, હે યહોવાહ, ઇઝરાયલના કરોડો પાસે તમે પાછા આવો.”
