< Nehemiah 12 >
1 Now these [are] the priests and the Levites that went up with Zorobabel the son of Salathiel and Jesus: Saraia, Jeremia, Esdra,

Amariah, Mallukh, Hattush.
Shekaniah, Rehum, Meremoth.

Shemaiah, Joiarib, Jedaiah.
7 These [were] the chiefs of the priests, and their brethren in the days of Jesus.
Salu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah he tah Jeshua tue vaengah a boeinaphung neh khosoih boeilu la om uh.
8 And the Levites [were], Jesus, Banui, Cadmiel, Sarabia, Jodae, Matthania: he [was] over the bands,
Levi rhoek te Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, Mattaniah loh a boeinaphung ah umponah te a hutnah.
9 and his brethren [were appointed] to the daily courses.

10 And Jesus begot Joakim, and Joakim begot Eliasib, and Eliasib [begot] Jodae,
Jeshua loh Joiakim a sak, Joiakim loh Eliashib, Eliashib loh Joiada a sak.
11 and Jodae begot Jonathan, and Jonathan begot Jadu.
Joiadah loh Jonathan a sak tih, Jonathan loh Jaddua a sak.
12 And in the days of Joakim, his brethren the priests and the heads of families [were, belonging] to Saraia, Amaria; to Jeremia, Anania;

13 to Esdra, Mesulam; to Amaria, Joanan;
Ezra, Meshullam, Amariah, Jehohanan.
14 to Amaluch, Jonathan; to Sechenia, Joseph;
Mallukh kah Mallukhi, Jonathan, Shebaniah, Joseph.
15 to Are, Mannas; to Marioth, Elcai;
Harim, Adna, Meraioth, Khelkai.
16 to Adadai, Zacharia; to Ganathoth, Mesolam;
Iddo, Zekhariah, Ginnethon, Meshullam.
17 to Abia, Zechri; to Miamin, Maadai; to Pheleti, [one];
Abijah, Zikhri, Miniamin, Maadiah, Piltai.
18 to Balgas, Samue; to Semia, Jonathan;
Bilgah, Shammua, Shemaiah, Jonathan.
19 to Joarib, Matthanai; to Edio, Ozi;
Joiarib, Mattenai, Jedaiah, Uzzi.
20 to Salai, Callai; to Amec, Abed;
Salu, Kalai, Amok, Eber.
21 to Elkia, Asabias; to Jedeiu, Nathanael.
Hilkiah, Hashabiah, Jedaiah, Nethanel.
22 The Levites in the days of Eliasib, Joada, and Joa, and Joanan, and Idua, [were] recorded heads of families: also the priests, in the reign of Darius the Persian.
Eliashib, Joiada, Johanan neh Jaddua tue vaengkah Levi napa boeilu rhoek, Persian Darius ram khuikah khosoih rhoek khaw a thum sak.
23 And the sons of Levi, heads of families, [were] written in the book of the chronicles, even to the days of Joanan son of Elisue.
Levi koca kah a napa boeilu rhoek te Eliashib capa Johanan tue hil kah khokhuen olka cabu khuiah a daek uh.
24 And the heads of the Levites [were] Asabia, and Sarabia, and Jesu: and the sons of Cadmiel, and their brethren over against them, were to sing hymns of praise, according to the commandment of David the man of God, course by course.

25 When I gathered the porters,
Mattaniah, Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub tah vongka, rhueng im ah thoh tawt, rhaltawt a ngaithuen uh.
26 [it was] in the days of Joakim son of Jesus, son of Josedec, and in the days of Neemia: and Esdras the priest [was] scribe.
He rhoek tah Jozadak koca, Jeshua capa Joiakim tue vaengkah neh rhalboei Nehemiah, cadaek khosoih Ezra tue vaengkah ni.
27 And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites in their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep a feast of dedication and gladness with thanksgiving, and they sounded cymbals with songs, and [had] lutes and harps.

28 And the sons of the singers were assembled both from the neighbourhood round about to Jerusalem, and from the villages,

29 and from the country: for the singers built themselves villages by Jerusalem.
Bethgilgal lamkah khaw, Geba neh Azmaveth khohmuen lamkah khaw, Jerusalem kaepvai kah laa sa rhoek long tah, amamih ham vangca a suen uh.
30 And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and they purified the people, and the porters, and the wall.
Khosoih rhoek neh Levi rhoek te a caihcil uh phoeiah tah pilnam neh vongka rhoek khaw, vongtung khaw a caihcil uh.
31 And they brought up the princes of Juda on the wall, and they appointed two great [companies] for thanksgiving, and they passed on the right hand on the wall of the dung-gate.
Te phoeiah Judah mangpa rhoek te vongtung kah a soi la ka luei sak. Te vaengah uemonah khaw vongtung kah a soi ah natva vongka taengla bantang ben ah bong nit la muep ka pai sak.
32 And after them went Osaia, and half the princes of Juda,

33 and Azarias, and Esdras, and Mesollam,
Te phoeiah tah Azariah, Ezra neh Meshullam.
34 and Juda, and Benjamin, and Samaias and Jeremia.
Judah, Benjamin, Shemaiah neh Jeremiah.
35 And [some] of the sons of the priest with trumpets, Zacharias son of Jonathan, son of Samaias, son of Matthania, son of Michaia, son of Zacchur, son of Asaph:

36 and his brethren, Samaia, and Oziel, Gelol, Jama, Aia, Nathanael, and Juda, Anani, to praise with the hymns of David the man of God; and Esdras the scribe [was] before them,
Shemaiah, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, Judah neh Hanani tah a boeinaphung ah Pathen kah hlang, David kah lumlaa tumbael neh pueiuh. Amih hmai ah cadaek Ezra cet.
37 at the gate, to praise before them, and they went up by the steps of the city of David, in the ascent of the wall, above the house of David, even to the water-gate
Tuiphuet vongka ah tah amih hmai ah David khopuei kah tangtlaeng longah David im kungkueng kah vongtung hil neh khocuk tui kah vongka hil te tangkham la luei uh.
Pabae kah uemonah khaw rhaldan ah cet uh. Te vaengah kai khaw a hnuk ah pilnam rhakthuem neh vongtung so lamloh tapkhuel rhaltoengim hil neh vongtung a thah hil pat ka cetuh.
39 of Ephraim, and to the fish-gate, and by the tower of Anameel, and as far as the sheep-gate.
Te phoeiah Ephraim neh Jeshanah vongka hil, nga vongka neh Hananel rhaltoengim ah khaw, Meah rhaltoengim neh boiva vongka hil cet uh tih thongim vongka ah pai uh.
Pathen im ah uemonah bok a pai vaengah kai khaw kamah taengah ukkung rhakthuem om.
Khosoih rhoek Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Mikaiah, Elioenai, Zekhariah, Hananiah khaw olueng neh paiuh.
42 And the singers were heard, and were numbered.
Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malkhiah, Elam, Ezer neh hlangtawt Izrahiah kah laa sak khaw a yaak uh.
43 And in that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced; for God had made them very joyful: and their wives and their children rejoiced: and the joy in Jerusalem was heard from afar off.
Te khohnin ah hmueih len a nawn uh. Te vaengah Pathen loh amih te kohoenah a len la ko a hoe sak dongah a kohoe uh. Huta camoe khaw a kohoe uh tih Jerusalem kah kohoenah te khola lamloh a yaak.
44 And in that day they appointed men over the treasuries, for the treasures, the first fruits, and the tithes, and [for] the chiefs of the cities who were assembled amongst them, [to furnish] portions for the priests and Levites: for [there was] joy in Juda over the priests and over the Levites that waited.

45 And they kept the charges of their God, and the charges of the purification, and [ordered] the singers and the porters, according to the commandments of David and his son Solomon.
Laa sa rhoek neh thoh tawt rhoek long khaw David neh a capa Solomon kah olpaek bangla a Pathen kah a kuek neh ciimnah dongah a kuek te a ngaithuen uh.
46 For in the days of David Asaph was originally first of the singers, and [they sang] hymns and praise to God.
Hlamat kah David neh Asaph tue vaengah tah Pathen taengah koehnah laa aka sa tih aka uem boeilu rhoek kah boeilu om.
47 And all Israel in the days of Zorobabel, and in the days of Neemias, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, a daily rate: and consecrated them to the Levites: and the Levites consecrated them to the sons of Aaron.
Te dongah Israel pum loh Zerubbabel tue neh Nehemiah tue vaengah a hnin, hnin kah aitlaeng bangla laa sa rhoek neh thoh tawt rhoek te buham a moe uh. Levi rhoek ham khaw a rhoe uh tih Levi rhoek loh Aaron koca rhoek ham a rhoe pauh.
