Nehemiah 11
1 And the chiefs of the people lived in Jerusalem: and the rest of the people cast lots, to bring one of [every] ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts in the [other] cities.

2 And the people blessed all the men that volunteered to dwell in Jerusalem.

3 Now these [are] the chiefs of the province who lived in Jerusalem, and in the cities of Juda; [every] man lived in his possession in their cities: Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nathinim, and the children of the servants of Solomon.

4 And there lived in Jerusalem [some] of the children of Juda, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Juda; Athaia son of Azia, the son of Zacharia, the son of Samaria, the son of Saphatia, the son of Maleleel, and [some] of the sons of Phares;

6 All the sons of Phares who lived in Jerusalem [were] four hundred and sixty-eight men of might.

7 And these [were] the children of Benjamin; Selo son of Mesulam, son of Joad, son of Phadaia, son of Coleia, son of Maasias, son of Ethiel, son of Jesia.
Och Benjamins barn voro dessa: Sallu, son till Mesullam, son till Joed, son till Pedaja, son till Kolaja, son till Maaseja, son till Itiel, son till Jesaja,
8 And after him Gebe, Seli, nine hundred and twenty-eight.

9 And Joel son of Zechri [was] overseer over them: and Juda son of Asana was second in the city.
Joel, Sikris son, var tillsyningsman över dem, och Juda, Hassenuas son, var den andre i befälet över staden.
10 Of the priests: both Jadia son of Joarib, and Jachin.

13 and his brethren, chiefs of families, two hundred and forty-two: and Amasia son of Esdriel, son of Mesarimith, son of Emmer,
så ock hans bröder, huvudmän för familjer, två hundra fyrtiotvå; vidare Amassai, son till Asarel, son till Asai, son till Mesillemot, son till Immer,
14 and his brethren, mighty men of war, a hundred and twenty-eight: and [their] overseer [was] Badiel son of [one of the] great men.
så ock deras bröder, dugande män, ett hundra tjuguåtta; och tillsyningsman över dem var Sabdiel, Haggedolims son.
15 And of the Levites; Samaia, son of Esricam,
Och av leviterna: Semaja, son till Hassub, son till Asrikam, son till Hasabja, son till Bunni,
så ock Sabbetai och Josabad, som hade uppsikten över de yttre sysslorna vid Guds hus och hörde till leviternas huvudmän,
17 Matthanias son of Micha, and Jobeb son of Samui,
vidare Mattanja, son till Mika, son till Sabdi, son till Asaf, sånganföraren, som vid bönen tog upp lovsången, och Bakbukja, den av hans bröder, som var närmast efter honom, och Abda, son till Sammua, son till Galal, son till Jeditun.
18 two hundred and eighty-four.
Leviterna i den heliga staden utgjorde tillsammans två hundra åttiofyra.
19 And the porters; Acub, Telamin, and their brethren, a hundred and seventy-two.
Och dörrvaktarna, Ackub, Talmon och deras bröder, som höllo vakt vid portarna, voro ett hundra sjuttiotvå.
Och de övriga israeliterna, prästerna och leviterna bodde i alla de andra städerna i Juda, var och en i sin arvedel.
Men tempelträlarna bodde på Ofel, och Siha och Gispa hade uppsikten över tempelträlarna.
22 And the overseer of the Levites [was] the son of Bani, son of Ozi, son of Asabia, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph the singers [some were] over the house of God,
Och tillsyningsman bland leviterna i Jerusalem vid sysslorna i Guds hus var Ussi, son till Bani, son till Hasabja, son till Mattanja, son till Mika, av Asafs barn, sångarna.
23 For so was the king's commandment concerning them.

24 And Phathaia son of Baseza was in attendance on the king in every matter for the people,

25 and with regard to villages in their country district: and [some] of the children of Juda lived in Cariatharboc,

26 and in Jesu,
vidare i Jesua, Molada, Bet-Pelet
27 and in Bersabee:
och Hasar-Sual, så ock i Beer-Seba och underlydande orter,
i Siklag, ävensom i Mekona och underlydande orter,
i En-Rimmon, Sorga, Jarmut,
30 And their villages [were] Lachis and her hands: and they pitched their tents in Bersabee.
Sanoa, Adullam och deras byar, i Lakis med dess utmarker, i Aseka och underlydande orter; och de hade sina boningsorter från Beer- Seba ända till Hinnoms dal.
31 And the children of Benjamin [lived] from Gabaa [to] Machmas.
Och Benjamins barn hade sina boningsorter från Geba: i Mikmas och Aja, så ock i Betel och underlydande orter,
i Anatot, Nob, Ananja,
Hasor, Rama, Gittaim,
Hadid, Seboim, Neballat,
Lod, Ono, och Timmermansdalen.
36 And of the Levites there were divisions to Juda [and] to Benjamin.
Och av leviterna blevo några avdelningar från Juda räknade till Benjamin.
