Nehemiah 10

28 And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nathinim, and every one who drew off from the nations of the land to the law of God, their wives, their sons, their daughters, every one who had knowledge and understanding,
Il resto del popolo, i sacerdoti, i leviti, i portieri, i cantori, gli oblati e quanti si erano preparati dai popoli dei paesi stranieri per aderire alla legge di Dio, le loro mogli, i loro figli e le loro figlie, quanti avevano conoscenza e intelligenza,
29 were urgent with their brethren, and bound them under a curse, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in the law of God, which was given by the hand of Moses, the servant of God; to keep and to do all the commandments of the Lord, and his judgements, and his ordinances;
si unirono ai loro fratelli più ragguardevoli e si impegnarono con giuramento a camminare nella legge di Dio, data per mezzo di Mosè, servo di Dio, ad osservare e mettere in pratica tutti i comandi del Signore, Dio nostro, le sue decisioni e le sue leggi.
30 and that we will not, [they said, ]give our daughters to the people of the land, nor will we take their daughters to our sons.
E in particolare: a non dare le nostre figlie agli abitanti del paese e a non prendere le loro figlie per i nostri figli;
31 And [as for] the people of the land who bring wares and all [manner of] merchandise to sell on the sabbath-day, we [will] not buy of them on the sabbath or on the holy day: and we will leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.
a non comprar nulla in giorno di sabato o in altro giorno sacro dai popoli che portassero a vendere in giorno di sabato qualunque genere di merci o di derrate; a lasciare in riposo la terra ogni settimo anno e a rinunziare a ogni credito.
32 And we will impose ordinances upon ourselves, to levy on ourselves the third part of a didrachm yearly for the service of the house of our God;
Ci siamo anche imposto per legge di dare ogni anno il terzo di un siclo per il servizio della casa del nostro Dio:
33 the show bread, and the continual meat-offering, and for the continual whole burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moon, for the feast, and for the holy things, and the sin-offerings, to make atonement for Israel, and for the works of the house of our God.
per i pani dell'offerta, per il sacrificio continuo, per l'olocausto perenne, per i sacrifici dei sabati, dei noviluni, delle feste, per le offerte sacre, per i sacrifici espiatori in favore di Israele e per ogni lavoro della casa del nostro Dio.
34 And we cast lots for the office of wood-bearing, [we] the priests, and the Levites, and the people, to bring [wood] into the house of our God, according to the house of our families, at certain set times, year by year, to burn on the altar of the Lord our God, as it is written in the law:
Tirando a sorte, noi sacerdoti, leviti e popolo abbiamo deciso circa l'offerta della legna da portare alla casa del nostro Dio, secondo i nostri casati paterni, a tempi fissi, anno per anno, perché sia bruciata sull'altare del Signore nostro Dio, come sta scritto nella legge.
35 and to bring the first fruits of our land, and the first fruits of the fruit of every tree, year by year, into the house of the Lord:
Ci siamo impegnati a portare ogni anno nel tempio le primizie del nostro suolo e le primizie di ogni frutto di qualunque pianta,
36 the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstborn of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, for the priests that minister in the house of our God.
come anche i primogeniti dei nostri figli e del nostro bestiame, secondo quanto sta scritto nella legge, e i primi parti del nostro bestiame grosso e minuto, per presentarli nella casa del nostro Dio ai sacerdoti che prestano servizio nella casa del nostro Dio.
37 And the first fruits of our corn, and the fruit of every tree, of wine, and of oil, will we bring to the priests to the treasury of the house of God; and a tithe of our land to the Levites: for the Levites themselves shall receive tithes in all the cities of the land we cultivate.
Ci siamo anche impegnati a portare ai sacerdoti nelle stanze della casa del nostro Dio le primizie della nostra pasta, le nostre offerte prelevate, cioè le primizie dei frutti di qualunque albero, del vino e dell'olio, e a dare la decima delle rendite del nostro suolo ai leviti. I leviti stessi preleveranno queste decime in tutti i luoghi da noi coltivati.
38 And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites in the tithe of the Levite: and the Levites shall bring up the tenth part of [their] tithe to the house of our God, into the treasuries of the house of God.
Un sacerdote, figlio di Aronne, sarà con i leviti quando preleveranno le decime; i leviti porteranno un decimo della decima alla casa del nostro Dio nelle stanze del tesoro;
39 For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring into the treasuries the first fruits of the corn, and wine, and oil; and there [are] the holy vessels, and the priests, and the ministers, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.
perché in quelle stanze i figli d'Israele e i figli di Levi devono portare l'offerta prelevata sul frumento, sul vino e sull'olio; in quel luogo stanno gli arredi del santuario, i sacerdoti che prestano il servizio, i portieri e i cantori. Ci siamo impegnati così a non trascurare la casa del nostro Dio.
