Michaeas 3
1 And he shall say, Hear now these words, you heads of the house of Jacob, and you remnant of the house of Israel; is it not for you to know judgement?
Et je dis: Entendez donc, chefs de Jacob, et princes de la maison d'Israël! N'est-ce pas à vous de connaître le droit?
2 [who] hate good, and seek evil; [who] tear their skins off them, and their flesh off their bones:
Vous qui haïssez le bien et aimez le mal, dépouillez les hommes de leur peau et leurs os de leur chair,
3 even as they devoured the flesh of my people, and stripped their skins off them, and broke their bones, and divided [them] as flesh for the cauldron, and as meat for the pot,
et qui dévorez la chair de mon peuple et l'écorchez et brisez ses os, et en mettez les pièces comme dans la marmite, et comme de la viande dans la chaudière.
4 thus they shall cry to the Lord, but he shall not listen to them; and he shall turn away his face from them at that time, because they have done wickedly in their practices against themselves.
Alors ils crieront à l'Éternel, mais Il ne les exaucera point et Il leur cachera sa face dans ce temps-là, parce qu'ils ont agi méchamment.
5 Thus says the Lord concerning the prophets that lead my people astray, that bit with their teeth, and proclaim peace to them; and [when] nothing was put into their mouth, they raised up war against them:
Ainsi parle l'Éternel contre les prophètes qui séduisent mon peuple, qui, quand leurs dents ont à mâcher, crient: La paix! et à quiconque ne leur met rien dans la bouche, ils déclarent la guerre.
6 therefore there shall be night to you instead of a vision, and there shall be to you darkness instead of prophecy; and the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be dark upon them.
Aussi, nuit pour vous, et plus de visions! ténèbres pour vous, et plus de divination! et le soleil se couchera sur ces prophètes, et le jour s'assombrira sur eux.
7 And the seers of night-visions shall be ashamed, and the prophets shall be laughed to scorn: and all the people shall speak against them, because there shall be none to listen to them.
Et ces voyants seront confus, et ces divinateurs rougiront, et tous ils se voileront la barbe; car il n'y aura point de réponse de Dieu.
8 Surely I will strengthen myself with the Spirit of the Lord, and of judgement, and of power, to declare to Jacob his transgressions, and to Israel his sins.
Mais je suis, au contraire, rempli de force, de l'esprit de l'Éternel, et de justice et d'intrépidité pour révéler à Jacob sa défection, et à Israël son péché.
9 Hear now these words, you chiefs of the house of Jacob, and the remnant of the house of Israel, who hate judgement, and pervert all righteousness;
Entendez donc ceci, chefs de la maison de Jacob et princes de la maison d'Israël, qui abhorrez la justice et pervertissez tout ce qui est droit,
10 who build up Sion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
qui édifiez Sion par des meurtres, et Jérusalem par des forfaits!
11 The heads thereof have judged for gifts, and the priests thereof have answered for hire, and her prophets have divined for silver: and [yet] they have rested on the Lord, saying, Is not the Lord amongst us? no evil shall come upon us.
Ses chefs jugent pour des présents, et ses sacrificateurs enseignent pour un salaire, et ses prophètes prédisent pour de l'argent; et néanmoins ils comptent sur l'Éternel, disant: « L'Éternel n'est-Il pas au milieu de nous? Aucun mal ne peut nous survenir! »
12 Therefore on your account Sion shall be ploughed as a field, and Jerusalem shall be as a storehouse of fruits, and the mountain of the house as a grove of the forest.
Aussi, à cause de vous, Sion sera un champ qu'on laboure, et Jérusalem un monceau de ruines, et la montagne de la Maison une cime boisée.
