Michaeas 2
1 They meditated troubles, and wrought wickedness on their beds, and they put it in execution with the daylight; for they have not lifted up their hands to God.
उन पर अफ़सोस, जो बदकिरदारी के मंसूबे बाँधते और बिस्तर पर पड़े — पड़े शरारत की तदबीरें ईजाद करते हैं, और सुबह होते ही उनको 'अमल में लाते हैं; क्यूँकि उनको इसका इख़्तियार है।
2 And they desired fields, and plundered orphans, and oppressed families, and spoiled a man and his house, even a man and his inheritance.
वह लालच से खेतों को ज़ब्त करते, और घरों को छीन लेते हैं; और यूँ आदमी और उसके घर पर, हाँ, मर्द और उसकी मीरास पर ज़ुल्म करते हैं।
3 Therefore thus says the Lord; Behold, I devise evils against this family, out of which you shall not lift up your necks, neither shall you walk upright speedily: for the time is evil.
इसलिए ख़ुदावन्द यूँ फ़रमाता है कि देख, मैं इस घराने पर आफ़त लाने की तदबीर करता हूँ जिससे तुम अपनी गर्दन न बचा सकोगे, और गर्दनकशी से न चलोगे; क्यूँकि ये बुरा वक़्त होगा।
4 In that day shall a parable be taken up against you, and a plaintive lamentation shall be uttered, saying, We are thoroughly miserable: the portion of my people has been measured out with a line, and there was none to hinder him so as to turn him back; your fields have been divided.
उस वक़्त कोई तुम पर ये मसल लाएगा और पुरदर्द नौहे से मातम करेगा, और कहेगा, “हम बिल्कुल ग़ारत हुए; उसने मेरे लोगों का हिस्सा बदल डाला; उसने कैसे उसको मुझ से जुदा कर दिया! उसने हमारे खेत बाग़ियों को बाँट दिए।”
5 Therefore you shall have no one to cast a line for the lot.
इसलिए तुम में से कोई न बचेगा, जो ख़ुदावन्द की जमा'अत में पैमाइश की रस्सी डाले।
6 Weep not with tears in the assembly of the Lord, neither let [any] weep for these things; for he shall not remove the reproaches,
बकवासी कहते हैं, “बकवास न करो! इन बातों के बारे में बकवास न करो। ऐसे लोगों से रुस्वाई जुदा न होगी।”
7 who says, The house of Jacob has provoked the Spirit of the Lord; are not these his practices? Are not the Lord's words right with him? and have they not proceeded correctly?
ऐ बनी या'क़ूब, क्या ये कहा जाएगा कि ख़ुदावन्द की रूह क़ासिर हो गई? क्या उसके यही काम हैं? क्या मेरी बातें रास्तरौ के लिए फ़ायदेमन्द नहीं।
8 Even beforetime my people withstood [him] as an enemy against his peace; they have stripped off his skin to remove hope [in] the conflict of war.
अभी कल की बात है कि मेरे लोग दुश्मन की तरह उठे; तुम सुलह पसंद — ओ — बेफ़िक्र राहगीरों की चादर उतार लेते हो।
9 The leaders of my people shall be cast forth from their luxurious houses; they are rejected because of their evil practices; draw you near to the everlasting mountains.
तुम मेरे लोगों की 'औरतों को उनके मरग़ूब घरों से निकाल देते हो, और तुमने मेरे जलाल को उनके बच्चों पर से हमेशा के लिए दूर कर दिया।
10 Arise you, and depart; for this is not your rest because of uncleanness: you have been utterly destroyed;
उठो, और चले जाओ, क्यूँकि ला'इलाज — ओ — मोहलिक नापाकी की वजह से ये तुम्हारी आरामगाह नहीं है।
11 you have fled, no one pursuing [you: your] spirit has framed falsehood, it has dropped on you for wine and strong drink. But it shall come to pass, [that] out of the dropping of this people,
अगर कोई झूट और बतालत का पैरो कहे कि मैं शराब — ओ — नशा की बातें करूँगा, तो वही इन लोगों का नबी होगा।
12 Jacob shall be completely gathered with all [his people: ] I will surely receive the remnant of Israel; I will cause them to return together, as sheep in trouble, as a flock in the midst of their fold: they shall rush forth from amongst men through the breach made before them:
ऐ या'क़ूब, मैं यक़ीनन तेरे सब लोगों को इकठ्ठा करूँगा, मैं यक़ीनन इस्राईल के बक़िये को जमा' करूँगा मैं उनको बुसराह की भेड़ों और चरागाह के गल्ले की तरह इकठ्ठा करूँगा और आदमियों का बड़ा शोर होगा।
13 they have broken through, and passed the gate, and gone out by it: and their king has gone out before them, and the Lord shall lead them.
तोड़ने वाला उनके आगे — आगे गया है; वह तोड़ते हुए फाटक तक चले गए, और उसमें से गुज़र गए; और उनका बादशाह उनके आगे — आगे गया, या'नी ख़ुदावन्द उनका पेशवा।
