Leviticus 6
1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Yahweh parla à Moïse, en disant:
2 The soul which shall have sinned, and wilfully overlooked the commandments of the Lord, and shall have dealt falsely in the affairs of his neighbour in the matter of a deposit, or concerning fellowship, or concerning plunder, or has in anything wronged his neighbour,
" Si quelqu'un pèche et commet une infidélité envers Yahweh, en mentant à son prochain au sujet d'un dépôt, d'un gage mis entre ses mains, d'une chose volée, ou en faisant violence à son prochain;
3 or has found that which was lost, and shall have lied concerning it, and shall have sworn unjustly concerning [any] one of all the things, whatever a man may do, so as to sin hereby;
en mentant à propos d'un objet perdu qu'il a trouvé, en faisant un faux serment au sujet de l'une des choses dans lesquelles l'homme peut pécher:
4 it shall come to pass, whenever he shall have sinned, and transgressed, that he shall restore the plunder which he has seized, or [redress] the injury which he has committed, or restore the deposit which was entrusted to him, or the lost article which he has found of any kind, about which he swore unjustly, he shall even restore it in full; and he shall add to it a fifth part besides; he shall restore it to him whose it is in the day in which he happens to be convicted.
quand il aura péché ainsi et se sera rendu coupable, il restituera la chose volée ou ravie par violence, le dépôt qui lui avait été confié, l'objet perdu qu'il a trouvé,
5 And he shall bring to the Lord for his trespass, a ram of the flock, without blemish, of value to the amount of the thing in which he trespassed.
ou tout objet au sujet duquel il a fait un faux serment. Il le restituera en son entier, avec un cinquième de la valeur en sus, et le remettra à son propriétaire, le jour même où il offrira son sacrifice de réparation.
6 And the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord, and he shall be forgiven for any one of all the things which he did and trespassed in it.
Il amènera au prêtre pour être offert à Yahweh en sacrifice de réparation un bélier sans défaut, pris du troupeau d'après ton estimation,
7 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Et le prêtre fera pour lui l'expiation devant Yahweh, et il lui sera pardonné, de quelque faute qu'il se soit rendu coupable. "
8 Charge Aaron and his sons, saying,
Yahweh parla à Moïse, en disant:
9 This [is] the law of whole burnt offering; this is the whole burnt offering in its burning on the altar all the night till the morning; and the fire of the altar shall burn on it, it shall not be put out.
" Donne cet ordre à Aaron et à ses fils, et dis-leur: Voici la loi de l'holocauste. L'holocauste brûlera sur le foyer de l'autel toute la nuit jusqu'au matin, et le feu de l'autel y sera tenu allumé.
10 And the priest shall put on the linen tunic, and he shall put the linen drawers on his body; and shall take away that which has been thoroughly burnt, which the fire shall have consumed, even the whole burnt offering from the altar, and he shall put it near the altar.
Chaque matin, le prêtre, ayant revêtu sa tunique de lin et mis des caleçons de lin sur sa chair, enlèvera la cendre laissée par le feu qui aura consumé l'holocauste sur l'autel, et la déposera à côté de l'autel;
11 And he shall put off his robe, and put on another robe, and he shall take forth the offering that has been burnt without the camp into a clean place.
puis il quittera ses vêtements et en mettra d'autres pour porter la cendre hors du camp, en un lieu pur.
12 And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it, and shall not be extinguished; and the priest shall burn on it wood every morning, and shall heap on it the whole burnt offering, and shall lay on it the fat of the peace-offering.
Le feu sur l'autel y sera entretenu sans qu'il s'éteigne; le prêtre y allumera du bois chaque matin, arrangera dessus l'holocauste, et y fera fumer la graisse des sacrifices pacifiques.
13 And the fire shall always burn on the altar; it shall not be extinguished.
Un feu perpétuel doit brûler sur l'autel sans s'éteindre.
14 This is the law of the sacrifice, which the sons of Aaron shall bring near before the Lord, before the altar.
Voici la loi de l'oblation: les fils d'Aaron la présenteront devant Yahweh, devant l'autel.
15 And he shall take from it a handful of the fine flour of the sacrifice with its oil, and with all its frankincense, which are upon the sacrifice; and he shall offer up on the altar a burnt offering as a sweet smelling savour, a memorial of it to the Lord.
Le prêtre en prélèvera une poignée de fleur de farine avec son huile, et tout l'encens qui est sur l'oblation, et il fera fumer cela sur l'autel, en agréable odeur, comme souvenir à Yahweh.
16 And Aaron and his sons shall eat that which is left of it: it shall be eaten without leaven in a holy place, they shall eat it in the court of the tabernacle of witness.
Ce qui restera de l'oblation, Aaron et ses fils le mangeront; ils le mangeront sans levain, en lieu saint, dans le parvis de la tente de réunion.
17 It shall not be baked with leaven. I have given it as a portion to them of the burnt offerings of the Lord: it is most holy, as the offering for sin, and as the offering for trespass.
On ne le cuira pas avec du levain. C'est la part que je leur ai assignée de mes offrandes consumées par le feu. C'est une chose très sainte, comme le sacrifice pour le péché et comme le sacrifice de réparation.
18 Every male of the priests shall eat it: it is a perpetual ordinance throughout your generations of the burnt offerings of the Lord; whoever shall touch them shall be hallowed.
Tout mâle des enfants d'Aaron en mangera. C'est une loi perpétuelle pour vos descendants sur les offrandes faites par le feu à Yahweh. Quiconque y touchera sera saint. "
19 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Yahweh parla à Moïse, en disant:
20 This is the gift of Aaron and of his sons, which they shall offer to the Lord in the day in which you shall anoint him; the tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a sacrifice continually, the half of it in the morning, and the half of it in the evening.
" Voici l'offrande qu'Aaron et ses fils feront à Yahweh le jour où il recevra l'onction: un dixième d'épha de fleur de farine, comme oblation perpétuelle, moitié le matin et moitié le soir.
21 It shall be made with oil in a frying-pan; he shall offer it kneaded [and] in rolls, an offering of fragments, an offering of a sweet savour to the Lord.
Elle sera préparée dans la poêle avec de l'huile; tu l'apporteras quand elle sera frite, et tu l'offriras en morceaux, comme offrande divisée, d'agréable odeur à Yahweh.
22 The anointed priest who is in his place, [one] of his sons, shall offer it: it is a perpetual statute, it shall all be consumed.
Le prêtre ayant reçu l'onction, qui lui succédera d'entre ses fils, fera aussi cette oblation: c'est une loi perpétuelle devant Yahweh; elle montera tout entière en fumée.
23 And every sacrifice of a priest shall be thoroughly burnt, and shall not be eaten.
Toute offrande de prêtre sera consumée tout entière; on ne la mangera pas. "
24 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Yahweh parla à Moïse, en disant:
25 Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin-offering; —in the place where they kill the whole burnt offering, they shall kill the sin-offerings before the Lord: they are most holy.
" Parle à Aaron et à ses fils, et dis-leur: Voici la loi du sacrifice pour le péché: c'est dans le lieu où l'on égorge l'holocauste que sera égorgée la victime pour le péché devant Yahweh: c'est une chose très sainte.
26 The priest that offers it shall eat it: in a holy place it shall be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of witness.
Le prêtre qui offrira la victime pour le péché la mangera; elle sera mangée en lieu saint, dans le parvis de la tente de réunion.
27 Every one that touches the flesh of it shall be holy, and on whoever’s garment any of its blood shall have been sprinkled, whoever shall have it sprinkled, shall be washed in the holy place.
Quiconque en touchera la chair sera saint. S'il en rejaillit du sang sur un vêtement, la place où le sang aura rejailli, tu la laveras en lieu saint.
28 And the earthen vessel, in whichever it shall have been sodden, shall be broken; and if it shall have been sodden in a brazen vessel, he shall scour it and wash it with water.
Le vase de terre dans lequel elle aura cuit sera brisé; si elle a cuit dans un vase d'airain, il sera nettoyé et rincé dans l'eau.
29 Every male amongst the priests shall eat it: it is most holy to the Lord.
Tout mâle parmi les prêtres en mangera: c'est une chose très sainte.
30 And no offerings for sin, of whose blood there shall be brought any into the tabernacle of witness to make atonement in the holy place, shall be eaten: they shall be burnt with fire.
Mais on ne mangera aucune victime pour le péché dont on doit porter le sang dans la tente de réunion pour faire l'expiation dans le sanctuaire: elle sera brûlée au feu.
