Lamentations 3
1 ALEPH. I am the man that sees poverty, through the rod of his wrath upon me.
Ја сам човек који видех муку од прута гнева Његовог.
2 He has taken me, and led me away into darkness, and not [into] light.
Одведе ме и оправи ме у таму, а не на видело.
3 Nay, against me has he turned his hand all the day.
Само се на ме обраћа, обраћа руку своју по вас дан.
4 He has made old my flesh and my skin; he has broken my bones.
Учини, те ми остаре тело и кожа, потре кости моје.
5 BETH. He has built against me, and compassed my head, and brought travail [upon me].
Зазида ме, и опточи ме жучју и муком.
6 He has set me in dark places, as them that have long been dead.
Посади ме у таму као умрле одавна.
7 He has builded against me, and I can’t come forth: he has made my brazen [chain] heavy.
Огради ме да не изађем, и метну на ме тешке окове.
8 GIMEL. Yes, [though] I cry and shout, he shuts out my prayer.
Кад вичем и вапим, одбија молитву моју.
9 DALETH. He has built up my ways, he has hedged my paths;
Загради путеве моје тесаним каменом, и преврати стазе моје.
10 he has troubled me, [as] a she-bear lying in wait: he is to me [as] a lion in secret places.
Поста ми као медвед у заседи, као лав у потаји.
11 He pursued [me] after I departed, and brought me to a stand: he has utterly ruined me.
Помете путеве моје, и раздре ме, и уништи ме.
12 HE. He has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
Натеже лук свој, и метну ме стрели за белегу.
13 He has caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.
Устрели ме у бубреге стрелама из тула свог.
14 I became a laughing stock to all my people; and their song all the day.
Постах подсмех свему народу свом и песма њихова по вас дан.
15 VAU. He has filled me with bitterness, he has drenched me with gall.
Насити ме горчином, опоји ме пеленом.
16 And he has dashed out my teeth with gravel, he has fed me with ashes.
Поломи ми зубе камењем, ували ме у пепео.
17 He has also removed my soul from peace: I forgot prosperity.
Удаљио си душу моју од мира, заборавих добро.
18 Therefore my success has perished, and my hope from the Lord.
И рекох: Пропаде сила моја и надање моје од Господа.
19 ZAIN. I remembered by reason of my poverty, and because of persecution my bitterness and gall shall be remembered;
Опомени се муке моје и јада мог, пелена и жучи.
20 and my soul shall meditate with me.
Душа се моја опомиње без престанка, и поништила се у мени.
21 This will I lay up in my heart, therefore I will endure.
Али ово напомињем срцу свом, те се надам:
22 HETH. [It is] the mercies of the Lord, that he has not failed me, because his compassions are not exhausted. Pity [us], O Lord, early [every] month: for we are not brought to an end, because his compassions are not exhausted.
Милост је Господња што не изгибосмо сасвим, јер милосрђа Његовог није нестало.
23 [They are] new every morning: great is your faithfulness.
Понавља се свако јутро; велика је вера твоја.
24 The Lord is my portion, says my soul; therefore will I wait for him.
Господ је део мој, говори душа моја; зато ћу се у Њега уздати.
25 TETH. The Lord is good to them that wait for him: the soul which shall seek him
Добар је Господ онима који га чекају, души, која га тражи.
26 [is] good, and shall wait for, and quietly expect salvation of the Lord.
Добро је мирно чекати спасење Господње.
27 TETH. [It is] good for a man when he bears a yoke in his youth.
Добро је човеку носити јарам за младости своје.
28 He will sit alone, and be silent, because he has borne [it] upon him.
Сам ће седети и ћутати, јер Бог метну бреме на њ.
Метнуће уста своја у прах, еда би било надања.
30 JOD. He will give [his] cheek to him that smites him: he will be filled full with reproaches.
Подметнуће образ свој ономе који га бије, биће сит срамоте.
31 For the Lord will not reject for ever.
Јер Господ не одбацује за свагда.
32 CHAPH. For he that has brought down will pity, and [that] according to the abundance of his mercy.
Јер ако и уцвели, опет ће се и смиловати ради мноштва милости своје.
33 He has not answered [in anger] from his heart, though he has brought low the children of a man.
Јер не мучи из срца свог ни цвели синове човечје.
34 LAMED. To bring down under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,
Кад газе ногама све сужње на земљи,
35 to turn aside the judgement of a man before the face of the Most High,
Кад изврћу правицу човеку пред Вишњим,
36 to condemn a man [unjustly] in his judgement, the Lord has not given commandment.
Кад чине криво човеку у парници његовој, не види ли Господ?
37 Who has thus spoken, and it has come to pass? the Lord has not commanded it.
Ко је рекао што и збило се, а Господ да није заповедио?
38 Out of the mouth of the Most High there shall not come forth evil and good.
Не долазе ли и зла и добра из уста Вишњег?
39 MEM. Why should a living man complain, a man concerning his sin?
Зашто се тужи човек жив, човек на кар за грехе своје?
40 NUN. Our way has been searched out and examined, and we will turn to the Lord.
Претражимо и разгледајмо путе своје, и повратимо се ка Господу.
41 Let us lift up our hearts with [our] hand to the lofty One in heaven.
Подигнимо срце своје и руке к Богу на небесима.
42 We have sinned, we have transgressed; and you have not pardoned.
Згрешисмо и непокорни бисмо; Ти не прашташ.
43 SAMECH. You has visited [us] in wrath, and driven us away: you has slain, you has not pitied.
Обастро си се гневом, и гониш нас, убијаш и не жалиш.
44 You have veiled yourself with a cloud because of prayer, that I might be blind,
Обастро си си се облаком да не продре молитва.
45 and be cast off. AIN. You have set us [alone] in the midst of the nations.
Начинио си од нас сметлиште и одмет усред тих народа.
46 All our enemies have opened their mouth against us.
Разваљују уста своја на нас сви непријатељи наши.
47 Fear and wrath are come upon us, suspense and destruction.
Страх и јама задеси нас, пустошење и затирање.
48 Mine eye shall pour down torrents of water, for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
Потоци теку из очију мојих ради погибли кћери народа мог.
49 PHE. Mine eye is drowned [with tears], and I will not be silent, so that there shall be no rest,
Очи моје лију сузе без престанка, јер нема одмора,
50 until the Lord look down, and behold from heaven.
Докле Господ не погледа и не види с неба.
51 Mine eye shall prey upon my soul, because of all the daughters of the city.
Око моје мучи ми душу ради свих кћери града мог.
52 TSADE. The fowlers chased me as a sparrow, all mine enemies destroyed my life in a pit without cause,
Терају ме једнако као птицу непријатељи моји низашта.
53 and laid a stone upon me.
Свалише у јаму живот мој и набацаше камење на ме.
54 Water flowed over my head: I said, I am cut off.
Дође ми вода сврх главе; рекох: Погибох!
55 KOPH. I called upon your name, O Lord, out of the lowest dungeon.
Призивах име Твоје, Господе, из јаме најдубље.
56 You heard my voice: close not your ears to my supplication.
Ти чу глас мој; не затискуј уха свог од уздисања мог, од вике моје.
57 You drew near to my help: in the day wherein I called upon you you said to me, Fear not.
Приступао си кад Те призивах, и говорио си: Не бој се.
58 RECHS. O Lord, you has pleaded the causes of my soul; you has redeemed my life.
Расправљао си, Господе, парбу душе моје, и избављао си живот мој.
59 You have seen, O Lord, my troubles: you have judged my cause.
Видиш, Господе, неправду која ми се чини; расправи парбу моју.
60 You have seen all their vengeance, [you have looked] on all their devices against me.
Видиш сву освету њихову, све што ми мисле.
61 CHSEN. You have heard their reproach [and] all their devices against me;
Чујеш руг њихов, Господе, све што ми мисле,
62 the lips of them that rose up against me, and their plots against me all the day;
Шта говоре они који устају на ме и шта намишљају против мене по вас дан.
63 their sitting down and their rising up: look you upon their eyes.
Види, кад седају и кад устају, ја сам им песма.
64 You will render them a recompense, O Lord, according to the works of their hands.
Плати им, Господе, по делима руку њихових.
65 THAU. You will give them [as] a covering, the grief of my heart.
Подај им упорно срце, проклетство своје.
66 You will persecute them in anger, and will consume them from under the heaven, O Lord.
Гони их гневом, и истреби их испод небеса Господњих.
