Lamentations 3
1 ALEPH. I am the man that sees poverty, through the rod of his wrath upon me.
Ja sam èovjek koji vidjeh muku od pruta gnjeva njegova.
2 He has taken me, and led me away into darkness, and not [into] light.
Odvede me i opravi me u tamu a ne na vidjelo.
3 Nay, against me has he turned his hand all the day.
Samo se na me obraæa, obraæa ruku svoju po vas dan.
4 He has made old my flesh and my skin; he has broken my bones.
Uèini, te mi ostarje tijelo i koža, potr kosti moje.
5 BETH. He has built against me, and compassed my head, and brought travail [upon me].
Zazida me, i optoèi me žuèju i mukom.
6 He has set me in dark places, as them that have long been dead.
Posadi me u tamu kao umrle odavna.
7 He has builded against me, and I can’t come forth: he has made my brazen [chain] heavy.
Ogradi me da ne izaðem, i metnu na me teške okove.
8 GIMEL. Yes, [though] I cry and shout, he shuts out my prayer.
Kad vièem i vapijem, odbija molitvu moju.
9 DALETH. He has built up my ways, he has hedged my paths;
Zagradi putove moje tesanijem kamenom, i prevrati staze moje.
10 he has troubled me, [as] a she-bear lying in wait: he is to me [as] a lion in secret places.
Posta mi kao medvjed u zasjedi, kao lav u potaji.
11 He pursued [me] after I departed, and brought me to a stand: he has utterly ruined me.
Pomete putove moje, i razdrije me, i uništi me.
12 HE. He has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
Nateže luk svoj, i metnu me strijeli za biljegu.
13 He has caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.
Ustrijeli me u bubrege strijelama iz tula svojega.
14 I became a laughing stock to all my people; and their song all the day.
Postah potsmijeh svemu narodu svojemu i pjesma njihova po vas dan.
15 VAU. He has filled me with bitterness, he has drenched me with gall.
Nasiti me gorèinom, opoji me pelenom.
16 And he has dashed out my teeth with gravel, he has fed me with ashes.
Polomi mi zube kamenjem, uvali me u pepeo.
17 He has also removed my soul from peace: I forgot prosperity.
Udaljio si dušu moju od mira, zaboravih dobro.
18 Therefore my success has perished, and my hope from the Lord.
I rekoh: propade sila moja i nadanje moje od Gospoda.
19 ZAIN. I remembered by reason of my poverty, and because of persecution my bitterness and gall shall be remembered;
Opomeni se muke moje i jada mojega, pelena i žuèi.
20 and my soul shall meditate with me.
Duša se moja opominje bez prestanka, i poništila se u meni.
21 This will I lay up in my heart, therefore I will endure.
Ali ovo napominjem srcu svojemu, te se nadam:
22 HETH. [It is] the mercies of the Lord, that he has not failed me, because his compassions are not exhausted. Pity [us], O Lord, early [every] month: for we are not brought to an end, because his compassions are not exhausted.
Milost je Gospodnja što ne izgibosmo sasvijem, jer milosrða njegova nije nestalo.
23 [They are] new every morning: great is your faithfulness.
Ponavlja se svako jutro; velika je vjera tvoja.
24 The Lord is my portion, says my soul; therefore will I wait for him.
Gospod je dio moj, govori duša moja; zato æu se u njega uzdati.
25 TETH. The Lord is good to them that wait for him: the soul which shall seek him
Dobar je Gospod onima koji ga èekaju, duši, koja ga traži.
26 [is] good, and shall wait for, and quietly expect salvation of the Lord.
Dobro je mirno èekati spasenje Gospodnje.
27 TETH. [It is] good for a man when he bears a yoke in his youth.
Dobro je èovjeku nositi jaram za mladosti svoje.
28 He will sit alone, and be silent, because he has borne [it] upon him.
Sam æe sjedjeti i muèati, jer Bog metnu breme na nj.
Metnuæe usta svoja u prah, eda bi bilo nadanja.
30 JOD. He will give [his] cheek to him that smites him: he will be filled full with reproaches.
Podmetnuæe obraz svoj onome koji ga bije, biæe sit sramote.
31 For the Lord will not reject for ever.
Jer Gospod ne odbacuje za svagda.
32 CHAPH. For he that has brought down will pity, and [that] according to the abundance of his mercy.
Jer ako i ucvijeli, opet æe se i smilovati radi mnoštva milosti svoje.
33 He has not answered [in anger] from his heart, though he has brought low the children of a man.
Jer ne muèi iz srca svojega ni cvijeli sinova èovjeèjih.
34 LAMED. To bring down under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,
Kad gaze nogama sve sužnje na zemlji,
35 to turn aside the judgement of a man before the face of the Most High,
Kad izvræu pravicu èovjeku pred višnjim,
36 to condemn a man [unjustly] in his judgement, the Lord has not given commandment.
Kad èine krivo èovjeku u parnici njegovoj, ne vidi li Gospod?
37 Who has thus spoken, and it has come to pass? the Lord has not commanded it.
Ko je rekao što i zbilo se, a Gospod da nije zapovjedio?
38 Out of the mouth of the Most High there shall not come forth evil and good.
Ne dolaze li i zla i dobra iz usta višnjega?
39 MEM. Why should a living man complain, a man concerning his sin?
Zašto se tuži èovjek živ, èovjek na kar za grijehe svoje?
40 NUN. Our way has been searched out and examined, and we will turn to the Lord.
Pretražimo i razgledajmo pute svoje, i povratimo se ka Gospodu.
41 Let us lift up our hearts with [our] hand to the lofty One in heaven.
Podignimo srce svoje i ruke k Bogu na nebesima.
42 We have sinned, we have transgressed; and you have not pardoned.
Zgriješismo i nepokorni bismo; ti ne praštaš.
43 SAMECH. You has visited [us] in wrath, and driven us away: you has slain, you has not pitied.
Obastro si se gnjevom, i goniš nas, ubijaš i ne žališ.
44 You have veiled yourself with a cloud because of prayer, that I might be blind,
Obastro si se oblakom da ne prodre molitva.
45 and be cast off. AIN. You have set us [alone] in the midst of the nations.
Naèinio si od nas smetlište i odmet usred tijeh naroda.
46 All our enemies have opened their mouth against us.
Razvaljuju usta svoja na nas svi neprijatelji naši.
47 Fear and wrath are come upon us, suspense and destruction.
Strah i jama zadesi nas, pustošenje i zatiranje.
48 Mine eye shall pour down torrents of water, for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
Potoci teku iz oèiju mojih radi pogibli kæeri naroda mojega.
49 PHE. Mine eye is drowned [with tears], and I will not be silent, so that there shall be no rest,
Oèi moje liju suze bez prestanka, jer nema odmora,
50 until the Lord look down, and behold from heaven.
Dokle Gospod ne pogleda i ne vidi s neba.
51 Mine eye shall prey upon my soul, because of all the daughters of the city.
Oko moje muèi mi dušu radi svijeh kæeri grada mojega.
52 TSADE. The fowlers chased me as a sparrow, all mine enemies destroyed my life in a pit without cause,
Tjeraju me jednako kao pticu neprijatelji moji ni za što.
53 and laid a stone upon me.
Svališe u jamu život moj i nabacaše kamenje na me.
54 Water flowed over my head: I said, I am cut off.
Doðe mi voda svrh glave; rekoh: pogiboh!
55 KOPH. I called upon your name, O Lord, out of the lowest dungeon.
Prizivah ime tvoje, Gospode, iz jame najdublje.
56 You heard my voice: close not your ears to my supplication.
Ti èu glas moj; ne zatiskuj uha svojega od uzdisanja mojega, od vike moje.
57 You drew near to my help: in the day wherein I called upon you you said to me, Fear not.
Pristupao si kad te prizivah, i govorio si: ne boj se.
58 RECHS. O Lord, you has pleaded the causes of my soul; you has redeemed my life.
Raspravljao si, Gospode, parbu duše moje, i izbavljao si život moj.
59 You have seen, O Lord, my troubles: you have judged my cause.
Vidiš, Gospode, nepravdu koja mi se èini; raspravi parbu moju.
60 You have seen all their vengeance, [you have looked] on all their devices against me.
Vidiš svu osvetu njihovu, sve što mi misle.
61 CHSEN. You have heard their reproach [and] all their devices against me;
Èuješ rug njihov, Gospode, sve što mi misle,
62 the lips of them that rose up against me, and their plots against me all the day;
Što govore oni koji ustaju na me i što namišljaju protiv mene po vas dan.
63 their sitting down and their rising up: look you upon their eyes.
Vidi, kad sjedaju i kad ustaju, ja sam im pjesma.
64 You will render them a recompense, O Lord, according to the works of their hands.
Plati im, Gospode, po djelima ruku njihovijeh.
65 THAU. You will give them [as] a covering, the grief of my heart.
Podaj im uporno srce, prokletstvo svoje.
66 You will persecute them in anger, and will consume them from under the heaven, O Lord.
Goni ih gnjevom, i istrijebi ih ispod nebesa Gospodnjih.
