Judges 1
1 And it came to pass after the death of Joshua, that the children of Israel enquired of the Lord, saying, Who shall go up for us first against the Chananites, to fight against them?
И бысть по скончании Иисусове, и вопрошаху сынове Израилевы Господа, глаголюще: кто взыдет нам к Хананею воевода, ратовати на них?
2 And the Lord said, Judas shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.
И рече Господь: Иуда взыдет: се, дах землю в руку его.
3 And Judas said to his brother Symeon, Come up with me into my lot, and let us array ourselves against the Chananites, and I also will go with you into your lot: and Symeon went with him.
И рече Иуда к Симеону брату своему: взыди со мною в жребий мой, и ополчимся на Хананеа: и пойду и аз с тобою в жребий твой. И пойде с ним Симеон.
4 And Judas went up; and the Lord delivered the Chananite and the Pherezite into their hands, and they struck them in Bezek to [the number of] ten thousand men.
И взыде Иуда, и предаде Господь Хананеа и Ферезеа в руце их: и избиша их в Везеце до десяти тысящ мужей.
5 And they overtook Adonibezek in Bezek, and fought against him; and they struck the Chananite and the Pherezite.
И обретоша Адонивезека в Везеце, и секошася с ним: и избиша Хананеа и Ферезеа.
6 And Adonibezek fled, and they pursued after him, and took him, and cut off his thumbs and his great toes.
И побеже Адонивезек: и гнаша вслед его, и яша его, и отсекоша краи рук его и краи ног его.
7 And Adonibezek said, Seventy kings, having their thumbs and their great toes cut off, gathered [their food] under my table: as I therefore have done, so God has recompensed me: and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.
И рече Адонивезек: седмидесяти царем обсекох краи рук их и краи ног их, и быша собирающе (от крупиц) под трапезою моею: якоже убо сотворих, тако воздаде ми Бог. И приведоша его во Иерусалим, и умре тамо.
8 And the children of Judas fought against Jerusalem, and took it, and struck with the edge of the sword, and they burnt the city with fire.
И воеваша сынове Иудины на Иерусалим, и взяша его, и поразиша его острием меча, и град сожгоша огнем.
9 And afterwards the children of Judas went down to fight with the Chananite dwelling in the hill country, and the south, and the plain country.
И по сих снидоша сынове Иудины воевати на Хананеа живущаго в горней к югу и в равней.
10 And Judas went to the Chananite who lived in Chebron; and Chebron came out against him; [and the name of Chebron before was Cariatharbocsepher: ] and they struck Sessi, and Achiman, and Tholmi, children of Enac.
И пойде Иуда на Хананеа живущаго в Хевроне. И изыде Хеврон со страны: имя же бе Хеврону прежде Кариафарвок-Сефер: и убиша Сесина и Ахимана и Фолмиа, роды Енаковы.
11 And they went up thence to the inhabitants of Dabir; but the name of Dabir was before Cariathsepher, the city of Letters.
И взыдоша оттуду к живущым в Давире: имя же Давиру бе прежде Кариафсефер, Град Писмен.
12 And Chaleb said, Whosoever shall strike the city of Letters, and shall first take it, I will give to him Ascha my daughter to wife.
И рече Халев: иже аще поразит Град Писмен и возмет его, дам ему Асхань дщерь мою в жену.
13 And Gothoniel the younger son of Kenez the brother of Chaleb took it; and Chaleb gave him his daughter Ascha to wife.
И взя его Гофониил сын Кенеза брата Халевова юнейший, и даде ему Халев Асхань дщерь свою в жену.
14 And it came to pass as she went in, that Gothoniel urged her to ask a field of her father; and she murmured and cried from off her ass, You have sent me forth into a south land: and Chaleb said to her, What is your request?
И бысть внегда отходити ей, и подвиже ю Гофониил просити у отца своего села, и ропташе (седящи) на осляти, и вопияше со осляти: на землю южную отдал мя еси. И рече ей Халев: что ти есть?
15 And Ascha said to him, Give me, I pray you, a blessing, for you have sent me forth into a south land, and you shall give me the ransom of water: and Chaleb gave her according to her heart the ransom of the upper [springs] and the ransom of the low [springs].
И рече ему Асхань: даждь ми благословение: яко на землю южную отдал еси мя, да даси мне и исходища водная. И даде ей Халев по сердцу ея исходища вышних и исходища нижних.
16 And the children of Jothor the Kenite the father-in-law of Moses went up from the city of palm-trees with the children of Judas, to the wilderness that is in the south of Juda, which is at the descent of Arad, and they lived with the people.
И сынове Иофора Кинеева, ужика Моисеова, взыдоша от града Финическа к сыном Иудиным в пустыню сущую на юг Иуды ко исходу Аредову, и поидоша, и вселишася с людьми.
17 And Judas went with Symeon his brother, and struck the Chananite that inhabited Sepheth, and they utterly destroyed them; and they called the name of the city Anathema.
И пойде Иуда с Симеоном братом своим, и изби Хананеа живущаго в Сефефе, и потребиша его: и прозваша имя граду Потребление.
18 But Judas did not inherit Gaza nor her coasts, nor Ascalon nor her coasts, nor Accaron nor her coasts, [nor] Azotus nor the lands around it.
И взя Иуда Газу и предел ея, и Аскалона и предел его, и Аккарон и предел его, и Азот и окрестная его.
19 And the Lord was with Judas, and he inherited the mountain; for they were not able to destroy the inhabitants of the valley, for Rechab prevented them.
И бяше Господь со Иудою. И взя гору, яко не возмогоша потребити живущих во юдоли, зане Рихав противоста им, и колесницы железныя бяху там.
20 And they gave Chebron to Chaleb, as Moses said; and thence he inherited the three cities of the children of Enac.
И даша Халеву Хеврон, якоже глагола Моисей: и наследствова тамо три грады сынов Енаковых, и изгна оттуду три сыны Енаковы.
21 But the children of Benjamin did not take the inheritance of the Jebusite who lived in Jerusalem; and the Jebusite lived with the children of Benjamin in Jerusalem until this day.
И Иевусеа живущаго во Иерусалиме не изгнаша сынове Вениаминовы, и живяше Иевусей с сынми Вениамини во Иерусалиме даже до сего дне.
22 And the sons of Joseph, they also went up to Baethel; and the Lord was with them.
И взыдоша сынове Иосифли и сии в Вефиль: и Господь бяше с ними.
23 And they encamped and surveyed Baethel: and the name of the city before was Luza.
И ополчишася, и соглядаша (сынове Иосифовы) Вефиль: имя же бе прежде граду Луза.
24 And the spies looked, and behold, a man went out of the city, and they took him; and they said to him, Show us the way into the city, and we will deal mercifully with you.
И видеша стрегущии мужа исходящаго из града, и яша его и рекоша ему: покажи нам вход во град, и сотворим с тобою милость.
25 And he showed them the way into the city; and they struck the city with the edge of the sword; but they let go the man and his family.
И показа им вход градный: и поразиша град острием меча, мужа же и сродство его отпустиша.
26 And the man went into the land of Chettin, and built there a city, and called the name of it Luza; this [is] its name until this day.
И отиде муж в землю Хеттиим, и созда тамо град, и прозва имя ему Луза: сие имя ему даже до дне сего.
27 And Manasse did not drive out [the inhabitants of] Baethsan, which is a city of Scythians, nor her towns, nor her suburbs; nor Thanac, nor her towns; nor the inhabitants of Dor, nor her suburbs, nor her towns; nor the inhabitant of Balac, nor her suburbs, nor her towns; nor the inhabitants of Magedo, nor her suburbs, nor her towns; nor the inhabitants of Jeblaam, nor her suburbs, nor her towns; and the Chananite began to dwell in this land.
И не разори Манассий Вефсана, иже есть Скифский град, ниже дщерей его, ниже окрестных (предел) его, ниже Фанаха, ниже дщерей его, ниже живущих в Доре, ниже дщерей его, ниже живущих во Иевламе, ниже окрестных его, ниже дщерей его, и живущих в Магеддоне, ниже окрестных его и дщерей его. И нача Хананей жити на земли сей.
28 And it came to pass when Israel was strong, that he made the Chananite tributary, but did not utterly drive them out.
И бысть егда укрепися Израиль, и сотвори Хананеа данника: изгнанием же не изгна его.
29 And Ephraim did not drive out the Chananite that lived in Gazer; and the Chananite lived in the midst of him in Gazer, and became tributary.
И Ефрем не изгна Хананеа живущаго в Газере: и живяше Хананей среде его в Газере, и бысть ему в данника.
30 And Zabulon did not drive out the inhabitants of Kedron, nor the inhabitants of Domana: and the Chananite lived in the midst of them, and became tributary to them.
И Завулон не изгна живущих в Хевроне и живущих во Аммане: и вселися Хананей посреде их и бысть ему данник.
31 And Aser did not drive out the inhabitants of Accho, and [that people] became tributary to him, nor the inhabitants of Dor, nor the inhabitants of Sidon, nor the inhabitants of Dalaph, nor Aschazi, nor Chebda, nor Nai, nor Ereo.
И Асир не изгна живущих во Акхоре, (и бысть ему данник, ) ни живущих в Доре, ни живущих в Сидоне, ни живущих в Далафе и во Ахазиве, и во Елве и во Афеке и в Роове.
32 And Aser lived in the midst of the Chananite who inhabited the land, for he could not drive him out.
И вселися Асир посреде Хананеа живущаго на земли (той), зане не возможе изгнати его.
33 And Nephthali did not drive out the inhabitants of Baethsamys, nor the inhabitants of Baethanach; and Nephthali lived in the midst of the Chananite who inhabited the land: but the inhabitants of Bethsamys and of Baetheneth became tributary to them.
И Неффалим не изгна живущих в Вефсамисе, ниже живущих в Вефанахе: и вселися Неффалим среде Хананеа живущаго на земли (сей): живущии же в Вефсамисе и в Вефанахе быша ему данницы.
34 And the Amorite drove out the children of Dan into the mountains, for they did not suffer them to come down into the valley.
И утесни Аморрей сыны Дановы в горе, яко не попусти им низходити во юдоль.
35 And the Amorite began to dwell in the mountain of shells, in which [are] bears, and foxes, in Myrsinon, and in Thalabin; and the hand of the house of Joseph was heavy upon the Amorite, and he became tributary to them.
И нача Аморрей жити в горе Чрепней, идеже медведи и лисицы, в Мирсиноне и в Салавине: и отяготе рука дому Иосифля на Аморреа, и бысть ему данник.
36 And the border of the Amorite [was] from the going up of Acrabin, from the rock and upwards.
И предел Аморрейский идумей от восхода Акравиня, от Камене и выше.
